This is perfect for bear bags. I should have mentioned that in the video. Thanks for watching and go practice in your yard before the bears come for your food. Ha
What about making a quick monkey chain lanyard knot? Slipknot hitches in a chain, unravels with just a pull but makes a nice tight bunch of rope. Obviously the short coming is that you need enough loose rope for it to reach you after wrapped around the branch. This is simple and very effective though.
Like a daisy chain? It might work if it were loose enough but I would worry about the friction keeping it together and not deploying. It's kind of amazing how little friction it takes for my method to not deploy and your only option is to pull it down and try again. Thanks for the comment.
Great information; Well Done, BRAVO!!!
Happy you enjoyed it. It’s a great little technique if you aren’t going too high. Cheers
awesome video... i had to go outside and try it out right away.... i was surprised when the first attempt played out just like the video.....
Good! That makes me happy.
Dude, you are the rope master!
More like a rope enthusiast but thank you for the compliment. Glad you liked the video.

Yeah but mine is wicked high up.
Try the Bigshot with a throw weight and throw line. Lots of fun too.
@@perryfire3006 Ok I will but it doesn't slant up. It points down. Won't it fall off?
Great job. Good teacher
Thanks. Happy to help.
That was genius, I hope it works for me next time I attempt to hang a bear bag. Thanks.
