Thank you very helpful. I recently had rain on a camping trip and notices another campsite staying dry with a tarp stretched over their campsite that was tied high up on the trees and it boggled my mind how they got their ropes up so high. Now I know.

I like to think that just prior to this video, a 10 year old asked this guy to help them put up a rope swing.... Then Nick puts on a hard hat and dives into a 9 minute, super passionate, and in depth instructional to the 10 year old haha Great vid though
Negative. The line runs through everything easy enough, it’s the loop that ends up getting caught on suckers, water sprouts, and depending on the tree.. bark.
Paracord is made of nylon but yes you can use it as a throw line but its a bit heavyer than a proper throw line i use 80lbs fishing line its a bit thin but it works well and for my throw weight i got a 30mm steel ball bearing and tied a monkeys fist around it with type 2 paracord just as good as a throw bag but much cheaper
Thanks for teaching girth and half hitches. Too many tree service companies forget the little things.
You should do a video on the 4 inch tie in system for going up small stuff.

Good stuff!
I just got a throw line for HAM radio antennas in trees. Your video was truly helpful, thanks for posting this. [beerclink]
Excellent!
I been using a clove hitch for 20 yrs works great
Same here! But not for 20 years lol.
What is the highest you can use a throw line ? 50, 60 or more feet ?
Great question! I’d love to know too!
can i use a slingshot to get a 12ounce throw weight up a tree?
So how do wrap that rope around the tree?
Best way to tie the rope off for a winch?
What kind of rope do you use to pull down a tree?
Is their some brand that good ?

Hi,
How thick is the rope you tied this weight to ?
Looks like arborist rope close to 12mm or 1/2 inch.

Seems that loop knot tying the weight on would be the least of concerns compared to the line your pulling through

I dont understand how i get the rope wrapped around the tree once i get the throw line into the tree…
Good info, thanks
No problem!
Can I used paracord for throwing line instead of nylon

@@yawningdog9894 actually I think your fishing line and monkey’s fist + ball bearing sounds better than some setups lol.

I had email communications with Nick himself on my order ! He is Tight!! 👍
Glad it was helpful!
anyone else here learning how to put a wire antenna into a tree ? :D
Probly! Get an APTA!

Keyword being hopefully 😂
I guess this stuff is rocket science who knew
Ya I don't get it, I just throw the damn thing or spin it and let rip...works for me...
just watch the neighbors cat does not think your playing a game with this system , takes hours to get the dam cat out of the tree otherwise !
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
