Why is Widnes the last projectionist under Liverpool stories. Widnes is nothing to do with Liverpool never has been, never will be. Great video by the way, brings back many happy memories 😀

A very pleasant journey , and a nice couple too. I recall visiting the Widnes Empire on many occasions, and have fond memories of some great times there.

Its a sad situation that all the old Cinemas as we remember them have been closed down or demolished, now they are all Multi Movie places showing more choices at one location.
The Computer and Movie rentals killed the Local town Cinemas also it is all Digital now no more film and having to use reels like you discribed, I could see that it was a sad moment
for you to look around the Plaza in Waterloo, Times have changed and not always the way
we would like, here all the Drive in Movies gone.

As an 12 year old I went to the last ever screening at that cinema .
The Boys in Blue with Cannon and Ball. Not a very fitting way to go out, as it was truly dreadful.
