We did a school play in 1993 about the child of Hale. And I always rember years later wanting to get on a train to widness and cycle there. It was kind of nostalgia. For me. Then I started doing different walks around Merseyside and the Wirral. Every autumn. Then I was hooked. Back in the millennie years you could get leaflets from the train and bus station information center on walks and planed routes around Wirral and Merseyside. I then desided to my own later on . But as my health is slowly deteriorating. And don't do them as regular. Only recently now you can vid diary your event. Or vloging as I think it's known now.
The wife and myself walked that route from Runcorn to Hale Lighthouse finishing in the Childe of Hale.. top walk and great views .. great Bimble again Keiran.some good mileage too..
On Record Breakers, The McWhirter twins appeared on every show until Ross WAS murdered by the IRA in 1975! Great bimble as usual Kieran. I live at a place called Dunford Bridge which is at the mouth of the old Woodhead tunnels and is on the Trans-Pennine-Trail. If you ever get this far you'll have to drop in for refreshments....
Been down to the Woodhead tunnels many times from Hadfield along the old railway and back via the 5 reservoirs, hard to believe that the last tunnel was built in 1954 and closed only 20 years later. At the time it was built it was the biggest civil engineering project in Europe.
Marvelous video Kieran. Weather was nice for a change too! The Font of knowledge with some of the useless information thrown in for a Brucie bonus yet interesting at the same time. Yorkshire ripper fun fact about his two cars the evil t@#t. Brilliant work. 🚲🍮✌🏻
Oh that stretch is interesting... horrible road from hale village to the turn off.... some interesting smells.... and those bloody stairs!!! But thanks for the great video
Great bimble as usual Kieran. and so much knowledge thrown in as well., a few years back I managed to ride the transpennine from Southport to Warrington Then it was back to Wigan on the train, then a few weeks later I took the train to Warrington and rode another section of it to Stockport.

Any post that contains the "Brucie bonus" line, gets a thumbs up.👍
