I like that life’s big questions aren’t a problem they are just a mystery. You don’t have to solve it it’s just a mystery. The fact that it is a mystery keeps you intrigued and keeps you going.
Embrace the mystery. If the mystery wasn’t there then you would top of yourself because you’ll be bored.

We are forever condemned to not having the answers to our existential doubts, this is the human situation, which perhaps death will overcome. To remedy this, we have music, philosophy and religion.

At 86 I think that Tolstoy's impasse was his early happiness at 50. To have everything that he had missed in early age, and conquered in his life toward 50 was his problem. An abyss of life without challenges and possibility of success, a form of living death, that he could not hope to change. He was a living death until the end. The only consolation was found in forgetting himself and thinking about the life of other people, mostly poor people. P.S. We are in reality eternal through the formation and dissolution of our atoms. Life and death in an eternal exchange. The only consolation is the appreciation of the beauty of the world, while we are temporarily alive in our form or any other.

It sounds like it, I was hoping he would become a warrior yet he chose a softer route that matched the ideology of his time. I prefer Camus, to die brave and with compassion towards an existence that I never could fully understand

There is a more common term for Albert Camus' "intellectual suicide" and that term is "cowardice". Disappointing to learn that such a gifted individual could be so cowardly.

    Meaningful life? A fleeting quest,
    Chasing shadows, seeking rest.
Is it ignorance we wear as a cloak,
Laughing at truths with each silly joke?
    Pleasure calls, a siren’s song,
Yet its promises don’t last long.
Moments fade; we’re left to find,
A void that echoes in the mind.
End the silly jokes, break the chain,
Of passive resignation, dulled by pain.
Life’s purpose waits, a higher call,
Beyond the trivial, beyond the small.
In trials faced and paths we trod,
We anchor our hearts with Faith in God.

      Universal God:
My thought: God is our explanation for the causation of reality.
Since we do exist in our reality and God is our vision for the creation of reality, then God does exist. We just do not have knowledge of the nature of God.
With that said: humans have differing opinions on God. That is a fact. But, that fact does not establish the truth about God. Our beliefs about God should serve to improve lives not cause conflict among humans. So we need to redirect religion to serve the best interest of both God and God's creation.

This is very good. I would add that faith in something larger than oneself can also bring a real sense of belonging. Our culture has us believe that we are individuals only. We are by this estranged from not only others but from the world we live in and nature. Faith is not the same as belief. Faith in something larger that oneself does not need the name we give to it; God or what ever. The happiness comes in seeing that our life's quality comes from being in reciprocal relationships with others, giving and receiving and not only considering our own interest.

Life is meaningless we create our own meanings
If u question life and don't want to live then question death
There is no reason to live nor a reason to die
Belief is an escape from suffering but acceptance is the solution
So option 1 - eat 5 star do nothing
Option 2 - if life is meaningless create your own meaning ( do whatever you want ) set goals accomplish them and move forward
What is life ? - 0 and 1 at the same time
Nobody is right nor nobody is wrong

It is a profound sense of you not attaching yourself to anything or anyone. Just being you. He had money and gave it away. He came from a different perspective it would not be the same for all humans but it worked for him .

Hope for our own understanding, love for our common kind and enjoyment in the generational growth. As we grow so does our idea of the eternal . Spirit develops as that is all we exit with!

When a product no longer serves it’s purpose it’s thrown away, to be replaced by another that actually does what it’s supposed to. So because many of the humans never really tried to understand who created them and why he created them and what he wanted from them as many of them believe that everything just happens by itself not even bothering to understand that nothing changes without action. That when a simple thing like a washing machine can’t neither create itself nor wash without someone actually does an action as this they’d understand pretty well but when looking within themselves or the universes then they think that it’s just there. So Ofcourse it’s no surprise at all why they’d suffer because by you not trying to find out who your creator was and what He wanted from you, you’ve done a massive injustice to yourself so then why do you complain when you’re system starts to backfire against itself

A Sparkle on the River of Time
    I love being alive
    spectator or player of life
young beasts frolicking the old sedate
in the stillness of the hot day’s evening
    cloud teasing the droughted earth
    cattle raising listless heads
    already on Winter’s rations.
Or sat in timelessness with seconds ticking
to needing tea, or leave before the night’s chill,
or lucid air in a morning wood
after the night’s rain, the first veil of Autumn’s dance
    lightly on the ground
a folly on yonder hill as morsel dandled.
    The only constant change.
A paddle of duck at the tapas bar of lily
the canal in and out, a python swallowed clutch of eggs
the faithful reading the advertiser’s literature
child showing 6d as evidence of tooth fairy,
a planet calm with outbreaks of violence.
The desperate actors, look at me, look at me,
oh, oh, please look at me, look, look at meee.
And walk again, gates polished by leather palms
    a ruin smothered in nostalgia.
The reason for death is obvious in a forest
the fallen and the falling and the sprouted seed.
One day there will be no me,
wondering why I no longer exist.
Wrote this five years ago when living on a narrowboat travelling the English canals. I was 72 years old, and content, my purpose being to explore the system. As now, I had enough money to live modestly, had good health. Unhappy times in my life had been stressful jobs, death of loved ones, physical pain, the usual events of life on a pendulum.
I do not ask, "What is the meaning or purpose of Life," because I don't consider it a sensible question.
Yes, help others, be kind, because that is how the animal we are evolved to be. A solitary animal behaves differntly.
    Just be.

Your "purposes." Your "meanings of life." So basic.

The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Read your bible.

Which translation ? There are many and they contradict each other in many ways. Most all in the Old Testament are mere fables and tall tales. The New Testament has many contradictions also and scholars do not believe most of the stories are rooted in reality.

Nearly 2,000 years of bible quotes. Empty as empty can be. Still can't figure out the faith part that creates miracles for all those that believe in Jesus. Hmm, humanity got fooled again.

We are eternal spiritual beings, having a human experience. No other place like earth to experience in the flesh. Just live the life you have, the best you can and stop complicating it with manmade religions. You seem to never get enough of suffering. LIVE!
