  • Correction!…233 inches not 133 inches! Beautiful all original 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Car I purchased from the original family! Leather interior is perfect! Drives like new…fully loaded! The car was in a heated building for the past 40 years. The original owner died and his widow couldn’t part with it. When she died her sons decided to sell it. Now I am the lucky owner!

Beautiful, had a 78 and a 79 Lincoln town cars , remember being very upset when they downsized them in 1980. To me it lost a lot of cache and presence. They’re such special and stately looking cars. Something we’ll never see again in an American car. I also loved looking out over my midnight blue and highly polished hood!

The 77, 78 and 79 Lincoln Town Cars were beautiful! I certainly agree with your comment! Thank you!

Distant dream... Truly passionate love of late 70s Lincoln. Many people have dream cars that are high end foreign sports cars. Mine is a 77 Lincoln of any model and this is super close !! Thanks for letting me see a small taste of a goal in life !

@@markeversonclassiccars You're welcome. Also, the note of "Quadrasonic" on the door for the 8 track player is because it can play - besides the regular stereo tapes you have - quadraphonic 8 tracks, which offer discrete surround sound. They have two "programs" vs four on stereo tapes, since they use four of eight tracks at once...for left front/right front/left rear/right rear. That option alone was over $400 when the car was new.

    This should have had a 460 .

Still nice acceleration and better mileage but I don’t disagree with you. It would have been better with the 469.

Beautiful condition. I have the same color combination but in the two door.
It had just over 14,000 miles on it when I bought it in December 2020. Now it’s got just over 20,000 miles on it. I’ve been enjoying it. Check it out on my channel.

Wow, look at that thing, truly a Lincoln; the next-gen Lincoln which followed, quite frankly, was an abomination.
Lincolns of the '70s were just plain... fierce; you have fools in your area who won't let you merge into traffic? Fly up the ramp in one of these things, and watch'em scoot. The 1970 Lincoln Continental was insane.
    Nice find!

Young man I appreciate your willingness too allow someone the opportunity to have such a gym. If you drove it to the nearest Golden corral put a balloon on antenna but your lounge chair out there and got you some chicken wings you'll have it sold by the time you ate a dozen. If you want it sold quicker drive it to you nearest golf course and allow the property manager to drive it around his property he will buy it just as a shuttle for the old timers that still have class in remember when a vehicle was part of your social life I can still smell that leather that is in that interior everyone wanted to golf course would say I had one of these young men I remember my grandfather had one I remember my uncle had one I don't remember my dad had one it's hard to drive five cars at once yes it is a gym but I can see a older gentleman in his seventies with his perhaps cigar or just a derby with his wife that is going out for a Golden corral buffet and or a night out at his local family diner or the country club what a piece of History that needs to be ENJOYING

@@markeversonclassiccars young man it would be nice to see if you can manage a raffle I used to have a successful enjoyment out of wrestling things to give an example you would sell your raffle tickets for a dollar and you would only have 25,000 tickets and you would go around to the bhw's the bingo halls as well as the other type of moose lodges and retirement homes retirement community villages you put some flyers in the cafeterias as well as you put a little bleep on me internet think about it one out of 25,000 chances that's great odds for a dollar I could just see some some man or woman that appreciated the vehicle back when they had it when they were 45 or 50 and now they're 75 or 80 it brings back to life their livelihood there youngevity you just think for only a dollar wow that's really going to be the icing on the cake you got to play to win and one out of 25,000 chances is a excellent odd given to the fact that a scratch off ticket for a dollar that you win $3 is $387,000 to 1

@@markeversonclassiccars you would only have a 90-day rifle and it'll be announced on the internet as well as wherever your spot and your local town that a lot of the and I hate to just say seniors but the people that were able to buy them at that time they are kicking themselves in the butt forever getting rid of that vehicle if nothing just to have it parked in the yard so they can go sit in it turn on Hank Williams and go back many years of happiness just a thought I don't know what value you put on it I haven't done the numbers for 25,000 that would be a price that is affordable for a luxury vehicle and that condition in that era it's a classic it brings back your livelihood that's priceless
