how do you count the weight using resistance bands? for example if i used a 50lb resistance band how much would i be deadlifting

I still believe that a 12 kg kettlebell is more effective and actually even safer. It seems that when I bend the resistance is not enough and when I stand strait it is actually too much putting pressure on my lower back more than holding my son who is 16kg. I am using wider resistance bands since with the one you use in the video I could do 100 repetitions, which means not enough resistance = no muscle growth.

Sounds like you've got the set up all wrong or you just don't understand bands. Make sure you have a loop of the appropriate size. You should feel a slight pull at the bottom, and as you go up, the resistance should increase (because unlike free weights, the more you stretch a band, the harder the exercise gets). If it's too easy, just get a bigger band. If your back is hurting, you need to work with lighter weight and work on your form. Indeed, free weights will make the latter task easier (and freeweights are arguably better for strength gains) but there's no reason you can't get a decent workout if resistance bands are all you have or you're working with low enough weight.
