I've seen Indian cooks do the same spices half at the beginning and half at the end , gets the fully mixed early release and the fresh sharpness from the spice at the end .
So babies fof breakfast, Quino for lunch, placenta for supper. If it's old enough to move on hind legs it's old enough to eat. Isn't a Greystones mother who has not been spared by the pear? Holy Pesto i have sinned of the flesh; soaked the box, blew the priest. And the Oyster....that the secret
Love this easy recipe. Our 15 year old son is a vegetarian and I'm always looking for easy, delicious recipes for all of us. This was certainly easy and delicious. Also tried the Tikka Masala which was just as good. (We're in Knoxville, TN, USA)
Wow, seeing you cook it in 5 minutes really inspires me to try out these dishes!!!! Great ideas!!! Big challenge for busy people is finding the time (thus energy) to cook for themselves but this really breaks it down.
I just pre ordered your guy's cookbook and I am so excited! You guys have changed my way of eating and I am a much happier, healthier person! Keep rocking on guys, thank you!
I made this last night and WOW- was it good! This is the first Happy Pear recipe I have tried, and I am SO impressed! My picky 14 year old son ate it and ASKED FOR SECONDS! So happy with this dish!
Hi Guys! Love the video! Dal is yummy! I challenge myself to make my meals within 20 minutes because that's how much my rice cooker takes to cook the rice. Fast cooking is the best!
A tip with garlic presses: the first clove doesn't really push through, it just flattens it basically. Keep adding garlic to the press (on top of the flattened piece and press down hard after each piece added. It works perfect this way.
thank you guys so much for sharing all of your lovely recipes! I have been cooking your recipes for the last few weeks and I was always so pleased and happy with how it turned out, especially since I don't have that much time to cook everyday. so I just wanted to say a big big thanks to you guys 💕💕💕
Did this last week. I loved it, my non-vegan boyfriend loved it so much, he wants to eat this regularly. The fresh spinach is worth the extra cost/effort. But it works fine with frozen, too. The second time I did this, I didn't have canned lentils, so I used red ones and just cooked it a bit longer. Works fine, too.
I just made this. I had to use a combination of fresh poblano, sweet red and jalapeño peppers since we don't have that kind of chilli you guys use in the video. This dish is inspired. I just came off a one-day intermittent fast, and this is what I broke it with. It's magical. Only took me about 30-35 mins from start to finish (I don't have a twin and I am a very slow vegetable chopper). LOL! Thanks from Canada, guys! I think you just saved me from my Patak's curry paste addiction. Until today, that's the only way I could make curry. This is so much better.
We have tinned lentils in the US. I've 3 cans in my pantry right now. But cooking lentils is super easy, and dried lentils are wicked cheap. I would try any sort of "health" type food store. I get my canned lentils at Sprouts/Henry's, Winco, and I've found them at Aldi as well.
Love loveeee LOVE your recipies so much!!! And you both have such beautiful, amazing positve vibes!!!! Love y'all so much =) Thank you for sharing so many delicious, healthy recipies with the world! xx
I love these brothers and their recipes and I don't care if they are five minutes or more, but I will point out that I always assemble everything (like they did) before starting, and usually that's exactly what takes the most time. Hahaha!
You guys are amazing I just stumbled on your channel as I was looking for vegan easy recipes. I made the chickpea curry added potatoes and carrots too and yummmmmy. Hello from Beirut.xoxoxoxo
to save time chopping, speed up cooking , save money and always have prime quality coriander, ginger , garlic (hate peeling) chillis, lemongrass and other herbs on hand , buy in bulk from Indian/Turkish/Chinese store : wash, chop/grate/crush and put in large ziplok bag in a thin layer lay horizontally in freezer till frozen then shake up/crunch frozen bag and place in freezer for use as needed .
Yo duuuuudes! That recipe is bang on alive, wow what a sensation that was making it and eating it. You boys just keep doing what your doing, great stuff! Saludos hermanos
I made this tonight for dinner and live you guys! So good and so easy. About half way though the meal, I found out I was out of chick peas. I substituted them wirh great northern beans because the internet recommended them as a replacement. They we're okay but, I will make sure to stock up on chick peas next time.
Hey fellow twins, it's about the garlic press. They're great. Did you peel the garlic cloves first? Just peel a clove, pop it in the press (keep a paring knife in your other hand). Press your garlic and scrape the garlic off the press with your paring knife. Open the press, pull out the junk that remains, or if there is a lot left, move it around and press again. Remove the junk from the press, pop a new peeled clove in and repeat. It really is easy and brings out the flavor. Does this help? It is your friend and can be quick if you use it right. I've been eating about an 80% plant based diet for 2 months now, and I'm spending hours in the kitchen with it. I need these 5 minute dinners. Personally, I make my own legumes in the slow cooker and freeze them so they are ready to go for a quick meal. They have less sodium that way. Your ideas are great. I'll have to double your recipes to feed my family, but as simple as they are, that's easy enough. Thanks for your posts. Warmest greetings from Denmark!
Trying to be a bit more WHOLE 30, I use quinoa (a grain having more protein; use one cup quinoa) instead of lentils and WOW!! Together the bok choi and quinoa are like silk on the tongue and taste great.
Just made this tonight! Super delicious. I fried the veg first though to get a nice fond in the pan before adding the coconut. Thanks again for another wonderful recipe! :)
I just discovered your channel and I love tour ideas, I've been in a food slump lately...also damn I always panic and think you won't make the 5 min but you dooooo!
You need a better garlic press! Like the Jamie Oliver one. Kicking myself for not thinking of using a tin of lentils when making Dahl before. Usually avoid tins (in Austria/Germany we sell beans in jars as well!) but sometimes you're in a rush!
cheers for the recipe lads, loved it, turned out great. If would be really great if you could put a direct link to the recipe rather than the generic recipes page, that'd be awesome. Thanks lads. HAppy new year
@ 03:20 (or thereabouts), I just googled America's Test Kitchens' recommend curry powder. I had no idea curry powder was that expensive, having never bought curry powder.
Your flame is orange, that's really dangerous to cook with! The gas isn't being burnt properly so there must be lots of carbon monoxide releasing into the room whilst it's on. Get it checked! Great quick recipe though!
I'm so proud of our Indian cuisine. It's a blessing for vegans all over the world!! 🇮🇳❤️
I feel like my life changed with all these videos I'm a goddes of 5 min vegan dishes now thank you
Ah you're a superstar!!! 😄👍🙌
Saute the spices with the onions and tomatoes, then add the coconut milk. It releases the spices' flavors and aromas.
Thanks for the tip! 👍
The Happy Pear the turmeric loses the bitterness that way. great recipe!

Can you use red lentils for this recipe?
Cheers!
Rafaello Macchiato u can use any lentils.

I'd love if you guys made a recipe with the aquafaba from the chickpeas!
I want your cooker! Look at that flame! I just envy it every time I see you cooking! :D
It's a serious flame, haha. There's 2 different rings in the one hob. :D
Ooh yeah I have seen you using both settings. It's awesomeness to be able to crank it up to that level when you need to.
Awesome stuff, guys - you have really inspired me :)

Just fixed it there 😄👍
@ 03:20 (or thereabouts), I just googled America's Test Kitchens' recommend curry powder. I had no idea curry powder was that expensive, having never bought curry powder.
Quick question, why don't you peel organic ginger (as opposed to regular)? Your vids are so perfect for college life btw!
There's no pesticides on the skin when it's organic! Glad you're enjoying the videos for college, thats what we like to hear! 😄😋🙌
Dal rocks! I eat it at least a couple of times a week...
Your flame is orange, that's really dangerous to cook with! The gas isn't being burnt properly so there must be lots of carbon monoxide releasing into the room whilst it's on. Get it checked! Great quick recipe though!
Came to the comments to post this too!
@@simbrind9070 wait so having orange flame is bad? What about for candles?
What sort of curry powder is good to use ??
serves one? gonna make it this week 😀
Yum
If I was to make a big pot of these delicious looking Dahl, how long could I keep it in the fridge in tubs?
