Hello everyone 😊I'll start streaming on twitch after the holidays and my Patreon is available now : patreon.com/xtheyan 👈🏻 Thank you all so much for the support ! I know sometimes I'm hard to follow and things are changing fast but it's all a work in progress and I'm always trying to new ways to improve and offer the best possible experience for you all. Anyways, hope you enjoyed the video and have a great day! 🌤
first 4 albums are classic, they are one of the few bands on earth that can make an album with every song being a banger, instead of like 4 good songs and the rest shit.
@@daskrunkly3213 and now they kinda suck. But hey, their new stuff is pretty much bringing them into the mainstream and it gave them some of their biggest hits (The Greatest Fear, Glitch, etc.) so good for them at least. I'm just glad they didn't pull an Underoath or an Atreyu where they went soft but no one cared
You should have a look at their first Dvd, they even show the road sign, hanging on it etc. also including how other bands supported them becoming big until Big Blue
My fav band of all time, i still jam all their old stuff. ive seen em live 6 times and have a blood and sweat covered white tshirt signed by the whole band. They saw me moshing my heart out and talked to me after their set and signed my shirt. i love Pway D! haha
Ih tota-lee agreh. Deep Blue is da best ting Parkeweh Drife has ever done. The Brekdown are purfecdt. Everyting is purfecdt. For real though, props to you for acknowledging their magnum opus. No joke. If they released a new deep blue every three years I’d be the number one parkway fan.
Yeah that whole situation is odd. He seemed so uncaring in that interview. Like he's proud of himself that he lied and manipulated people. I'm in an odd way wondering if it's a huge troll, but either way what a poo head.
I know Finn is very controversial at the moment, but I gotta say, he's been extremely supportive to me since the beginning and despite what happened, he was a big inspiration for me to start making videos like this in the first place. That being said, I absolutely love making my videos, I love deathcore and I'm even making deathcore music myself (Curseeater) so don't worry about my reasons behind the channel! It's all for the love!! I'll be honest, I do offer ways to support me , but that's only because I'd love to do it full time someday! Metalcore and Deathcore are a big part of my life and I'm extremely grateful to have a cool audience who watch my content and enjoy what I do!
@@xtheyanhe really betrayed all of us with his statements and God forbid he be telling the truth. Just do what you do man, you're plenty talented and intelligent to not need to give credit to a grifter like him.
In my opinion, the breakdown in Romance is Dead is one of the best breakdowns in metalcore in general. I’m ready to listen to it over and over forever, even more than the song itself. With "Killing with the Smile", I started immersing myself in metalcore and listened to it when I went to gym. In my opinion, band was never able to reach level of debut, even with "Horizons"
I like that you played Picture Perfect, Pathetic from Killing with a Smile because that is a very underrated song, but it would have been cool to hear some of the other songs on the album too, because they're all so good
I remember seeing them live before Deep Blue came out and they played Unrest, I thought he said the song was called " I rest" he said you guys don't know this one but just move and the crowd definitely did. It was so freakin heavy
Very nice Video You forgot to Mention that KWAS and Horizons were produced by Adam D from Killswitch Thats also a Reason they evolved in their Skills as Musicians
5:11 yeah and it was really underrated. So overlooked in their catalog. I feel like it was just as good as Killing with a Smile, but it just unfortunately had really rough production and audio quality. If they had Adam D do it, a lot more people would pay attention to it. Also they re-released it with 8 more songs that all are just as good!!
Years ago, I had watched a documentary video from when they began till Horizons, on youtube. Same as, As i lay dying, from the begining till Ocean bettween us.
Hey bro I'm best mates with Josh from the Ailment...We played show together in 2005 with his old hard core band. My band called Krakatoa headlined. There is only 1 bit of live footage of Krakatoa on UA-cam. I'd love to show you. Zac xxx
Don’t close your eyes, thought the production quality isn’t as “good” as their others, hits so hard. Drums and guitars sound arguably better than the other albums
Just curious.. Who's "everyone" ? haha I've been doing this for a year in a half and last I checked, no one else is making videos about bands like Elysia, Suffokate, We are the end etc
@ yeah sure I can see that ! Great channels, But they still don’t really talk about bands like Veil of Maya , The Red Shore , We butter the bread with butter and stuff like that ! I guess I’m just saying , there’s still room for my channel haha
Check out Vault of Valor if u like old school PWD! Ofc they don’t beat that at all but it does sound pretty similar. (And much better than current PWD…) Sorry but I couldn’t even finish their last Album😂
Most that live in first bit is at hq Perth Western Australia yeeewwww, Not a fan of anything from horizons onwards 😢 but still an og fan !!!!! #aussieroots
Their first albums are just timeless masterpieces, they slap so hard 😤😤😤 The only thing I dont like about Deep Blue is the production, the mix was far more better on Horizons
@@xtheyan haha alright interesting! Maybe it´s because I´m a drummer, but I didnt like the drum sound, way too bassy and also the guitars weren´t that clean.
I gotta be honest, I know Finn is a big controversial topic but he's always be very supportive and kind to me ! That being said, I DO CARE about the music haha I've been recording and making deathcore music for a long time and I even released songs on my channel. That's pretty damn good. Musically, it sounds just like something from Deep Blue. Vocally, it's not the greatest, but I'll keep an eye out for these guys

Where is your accent from ?
Please can you do a video on After The Burial 😢
Clicked so fast. Used to LOVE this band. Still frequently listen to their first 4 albums
first 4 albums are classic, they are one of the few bands on earth that can make an album with every song being a banger, instead of like 4 good songs and the rest shit.
@@SKELLY420xD they had literally 3 albums back to back with every song a banger.
@@SKELLY420xDyeah they were completely on fire. amazing run tbh
@@daskrunkly3213 and now they kinda suck. Parkway Drive is actually a street name in Byron, great video bro!
And their sign kept getting stolen
oh that's cool ! And thanks

Dude that split ep started it all for me iktpq is so underrated

that's awesome
Never been able to get into this band, interesting vid though man!
"Blue and the grey" for me is their last masterpiece of their last solid album before the downfall (musically)
killing with a smile was a good release, best era of parkway drive.
Just subbed to you my friend. Looks like you’re filling a certain void in the UA-cam space and i appreciate it
thank you very much! Glad you enjoy my content

What
great fun work as ever/ Parkway Drive back then had this fun/savage sound.
I think you might be the real deal unlike some creators i know (*cough cough Finn McKenty *cough)
Finn Mckenty only did it for the money. We don't need to speak of him here
Yan is in it for the right reasons thankfully

Atlas is their most underrated album, perfect album.
At work with my morning coffee and cigarette good start to the day. Thanks for including us aussies. Your vids are top notch my friend🇦🇺🇦🇺
Hey thank you !! Yes there are so many great bands from Australia
Oh this will be good.... so many eras to this juggernaut

I like that you played Picture Perfect, Pathetic from Killing with a Smile because that is a very underrated song, but it would have been cool to hear some of the other songs on the album too, because they're all so good
That album is great! But yeah, I usually just showcase one song to represent the album , so that people can go and discover it afterwards
Still one of my favorites bands , I dont like their newer stuff but they are a top tier live band
Killing with a smile, horizons and deep blue ❤❤
I remember seeing them live before Deep Blue came out and they played Unrest, I thought he said the song was called " I rest" he said you guys don't know this one but just move and the crowd definitely did. It was so freakin heavy
REEEETRAAACE THEEE STEEEEEEPS
I love you bro.. you're a real one .
Man watching you from 1k viewers to now congrats man coming up !
Thank you for supporting me ! Means a lot
Very nice Video
You forgot to Mention that KWAS and Horizons were produced by Adam D from Killswitch
Thats also a Reason they evolved in their Skills as Musicians
Which is probably why those songs went the hardest and why Deep Blue slightly disappointed me despite having pretty much the same album
Do on broken wings next
Parkway drive is definitely one of my favorites 🖤
One of the Greatest Australian Metalcore's Band 🔥. Horizons is such a masterpiece ❤
Yep! It truly is

Was waiting for this one! Read my mind
All this time I had no idea they had a split with IKTPQ..wild!
Years ago, I had watched a documentary video from when they began till Horizons, on youtube. Same as, As i lay dying, from the begining till Ocean bettween us.
Horizons is Gold. The Band A Midsummer Nightmare from Florida had a similar style.
I remember Bryan stars interviewing Parkway drive. So good
yeah Bryan Stars pretty much interviewed all the bands during that era haha
Great video for my lunch break

Hell yea Parkway Drive is so fuckin awesome. I love watching these in the morning
thanks for watching!!

I went to their first few shows including at Byron bay high school
I still have my blue parkway drive shirt at 15:08. Still fits

Amazing!!!
I remember the surprise that Sleepwalker was, so heavy so groovy haha
I saw Parkway Drive live in Chicago last year it was a flawless performance 🤘🏻 🤘🏻

Okay, but Adam D produced the following 2 records, which are just untouchable

finn mckenty out everyone is sliding into this style now

Truly Iconic albums. The music they created after deep blue is... confusing. I still can't grasp the fact it is the same band.
