Because there is the prior owners wifi stuff an pics an such!
Yo' great video, I've a question tho... I have this same camera, but when recoding (it's set to 1080) the quality is just so bad, nothing like the quality you show in the sx510 clip... full of noise. Did you denoise the footage in post? or was raw from the camera, if so.. any idea to why i'm getting so much noise?
Denoising your footage is a great option. I personally don't do it for the SX510, I try to shoot in situations where the lighting is very good to minimize the noise. Try filming in brightly lit situations. You can shoot near a window during the day if you have to, or buy some lights.
It's very challenging to have a blurry background when filming yourself with this camera. The camera has to be very far away and zoomed in as much as possible. You have to keep in mind the distance between your background, the subject (you), and your camera. However don't expect to get as blurry of a background as more expensive cameras (DSLR for an example). But, hey, I wouldn't let that stop you from making any video now with what you have.
Hi, thank you for this video... watched it for the third time I guess... quick question, what would be your suggestion about maintaining focus on a moving subject like a person jogging or running?
Thank you for stopping by! That's a tough question to answer in a single comment. There are many variables that go into it. The auto focus isn't all that great because it's more contrast based. I usually use manual focus when I can, but you can't control it it during video recording. I have to set it up before hand and hope that the subject stays in that line of focus. Just limitations of this camera to be aware of.

Is this camera better than the Nikon Coolpix P100 for videos?
They both seem very similar. If you just want something to start making videos, any of these will work.
@@DillonProductions Thanks bro, (update) I got the Nikon but it's definitely below average. I'mma try to make football cinematic vids and got a way better camera, I purchased the Sony Alpha A6400 with a pretty decent 200mm lens. Mucho glacias!
Nice bro! The A6400 is a beast for the price.
@@DillonProductions fr, but it's like the cheapest option to record 120fps and be able to capture volume/zoom in at high speeds
Very useful info for me. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on this cam 👌
No problem Ca! Thank you for watching.
Thank you from Russia. Good camera/
You're Welcome! Thank you for watching!
You making cinematic video from this camera ?? (Sorry , my english is bad)
Thank you so much! This was so helpful to me!
hey man, would you say the same settings would apply for a newer SX530 or SX540?
It should be similar. But I can't confirm it 100% since I haven't used the newer models.
Thank a lot

No Problem! Thanks for watching!
what is the best way to download the clips onto a computer?
Typically the SD card port is my preferred way of moving the footage to the computer, but you can also try the USB cable that came in the box.
@@DillonProductions omg you actually answered i really need help with that thank you
@@bonnielove708 No problem! let me know if you have any more issues.
Спасибо, пригодилось:-)
Thank you from Russia :D
Thank you for watching!
thanks for this great and straight to the point video! i’ve just started using this camera after many years of abandoning it and photography in general and this was very helpful! i’d appreciate it if you could upload more tips for this model!
No problem! Anything in particular? :)
I have the 530
Nice! I've played around with the SX530 before. However, I kept the SX510HS because it shoots 24fps whereas the SX530 only shoots in 30fps and 60fps.
With that said, you can still capture great stuff with either of these cameras. :)
Dillon Productions thanks for the information 🤩
