The 501st is a play on the US Army's 101st Screaming Eagles made famous during WW2 Normandy. As for my personal favorite. Yoda's Green Company Clone Rangers (based on US Army Ranger Corps) are my favorite.
To me, my favorites are the 501st Legion, 104th Battalion/ Wolfpack, and 212th Battalion. If I was a clone, I would choose either these 3 clone units because of the armor, jedi general, bond between clones and jedi, and ideologies of the clones
For those who don't know, the 104th battalion respected plo koon so much that they printed "plo's bros" on one of their gunships. Plo was known for viewing his troops as individuals, as men, not as expendable soldiers. Im also pretty sure anakin was the same with his 501st legion.
We need a Tales of the Clones series going through various legions and battalions and how their relationships with the Jedi were like and what battles they survived
What kind of information about some 57 commanders? We do not know the commanders of the 501st legion, except for the commanders during the empire. The entire animated series showed us not 501 himself, but only one of his company, the torrent company under the command of Rex, he did not command all 501, he was only a close associate of the clones to the general, because the torrent company is the best in 501, and Rex himself is not a full-fledged ARC soldier trained under the Alpha 17 program.
I think I would join the 104th (BC I lead it in my own star wars server) and probably the 501st because they are specizliesed in explosives and were the most well know with I think the most nice Jedi general
501 did not specialize in explosives; it was an operational unit, like 212, thrown from one sector of the front to another along with generals to strengthen certain areas, both strengthening the defense and strengthening the offensive capability of the army.
Orange is not the color 7 of the case, orange is the color 212. The 7th Corps also included the 442nd Regiment and the 501st Regiment and several other units with different colors. What you say is color 212.
U forget to say that the 187th was the only one who doesnt execute the order 66... because they was so loyal to windu to have orders from anyone else... when the 501th atacks corusant... the 187th was the only team helping the jedi to survive before the 501 kill them
What is there to show? Basically, life on board warships consists of combat posts, food, sleep and a lot of free time for self-development. There was no entertainment or any of this on the ships, mostly the clones just sat in the barracks and minded their own business.
If I had the option to go with Appo or Rex, I'd probably choice Appo since the part of the 501st with Rex all die, which is funny couse rex and bly are my two favorite clone troopers.
Its crazy to think that a seemingly throw away line from the original movie led to all this. "You fought in the clone wars?" "Magnificent. Aren't they."
In my head the 187th, are actually a sub unit of the Coruscant Guard (Given their similar markings.) But are the unit with in the guards that are assigned to Mace Windu. I mean in my head it makes very little sense for Windup and Yoda to have permanently assigned large clone units, considering anywhere from 50 to 75% of their time is spent away from the front running the Jedi Order. Kind of be a waste to have them commanding Units that then have deputy commanders when they are not there, and much more fitting for them to take command of units when needed. Also worth stating I dont think that the 187th and the Anaxes clones are the same unit. I know the they were intentionally made to be different to the 187th. I would assume that the Anaxes clones are like... A more conventional Infantry battalion with in the 91st Recon Corps. I would also assume that those Jedi Who lead Battalions are actually in charge of larger units (Though the exact make up I am unsure on...) Just because if every battalion had a clone commander seams to be a bit of a waste of resources, and even if not every Battalion has a Jedi Commander. the unit allocation seams a little warped. Plo Koon leading a battalion when somebody his contemporary (Obi Wan) Leads a Corps. But sort of like how the 212th Batallion seams to be the 'command' battalion of the 7th Sky Corps (Or at the very least Kenobi's and Cody's choice for command battalion) Maybe Plo Koon and Wolfe have the 104th as their command element for whatever unit they command. I know I am just talking from my own head here, but as I said it just feels a little all over the place. (Which I guess is to expect when military's are written by people that don't understand them.) I'm not even going to try and address the 501st as honestly. That's just a mess. Rex should be a commander and though some argue that he couldn't because of Ahsoka taking the rank, that feels a little weak as there are as many arguments against it as for that theory. As for the 442nd I have always liked the idea that they would have been Qui Gon Jin's Battalion had he survived considering their similarity to the 212th
The 187th are far more likely to be a subsidiary unit of the 91st, because that's the unit Windu is partially in command of (alongside Adi Gallia and Stass Allie) and the clones seen on Anaxes are part of the 187th Battalion (not to be confused with the 187th Legion which is ALSO under the command of Windu), and the 187th Battalion is quite likely a part of the 187th Legion. So the unit structure would go 187th Battalion (dark red) < 187th Legion (purple) < 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps. The 442nd Siege Battalion is almost certainly a subsidiary unit of the 7th Sky Corps under Marshal Commander Cody, as the only times we have actually seen the 442nd is in a couple of comics where they are serving with the 212th Attack Battalion directly under Cody. Also, they have the exact same marking pattern as the rest of the 7th Sky Corps, just in green.
@@CloneCommanderCrater1102 Whilst I get what your saying, the only issue i can see is that im pretty sure the clone wars designers said that the anaxes troopers are in no way connected to the 187th and that they are intended to be completly different units. Also im pretty sure that the Airborne armoured commander was called the 187th battalion commander when he was first released though I may be wrong there.
@@CloneCommanderCrater1102 where are they refered to as the 187th? Because the only evidence I know of is that when Hasbro did a preview of there action figure of the clone it was called '187th battalion clone trooper' which seams to go against Lucas films own say on the matter. You may be right and im not saying you arnt but canonically the 187th legion have only ever appeared in a lego set and producers from the show came out to say the Anaxes clones are not the 187th and then Hasbro went and did there own thing. Whilst in real life and to us fans the legion and battalion titles mean unuts of different sizes you have to remember that those that write this infomation have called the 501st under Rex every unit size from a company to a corps in Canon and Wookipedia is not infallable.

Their missions are highly classified, hence why they haven’t been seen much

The most common operational legion of clones, thrown from one sector of the front to another. Their usefulness was only in the fact that they strengthened a certain area and because of this there was an advance of the vronts. I practice this scheme on other sectors of the front. More useful were the ARF clone division, which performed a huge number of functions and tasks for successful operations.
My favorite Trooper/s are the 5 units from the first season of the Clone Wars series, Hevy, 5s, Echo, Cutup and Droidbait. Hevy is my favorite above all other Shinyies
Served in the 41st 1st, with my friend Kaiden, under chancellor Vexitus. Reached Sergeant rank, but never farther. Probably my fondest memories. Then the 327th, for a brief period, before another good period in the 104th years later. With them, i spent about twice as much time than my time in the 41st and reached the rank of Captain, in charge of Grey Company. At this point id lost kaiden for some time. At the very end of my service I very briefly joined the 501st, at which point the republic was falling apart, as we would eventually march on the jedi temple on coruscant.
My favourite is either the wolf pack or 501st because anakin and Rex are two of my favourite characters in all of Star Wars and I just love the armour, I also think the 501st has a lot of very good troopers like heavy and fives who were very entertaining to watch and played major roles in the war, the wolf pack is just another very cool battalion that also has a very good paint job on their armour and commander wolf is on of my favourite commanders in the GAR

For those who don't know, the 104th battalion respected plo koon so much that they printed "plo's bros" on one of their gunships. Plo was known for viewing his troops as individuals, as men, not as expendable soldiers. Im also pretty sure anakin was the same with his 501st legion.
4:25
Man... that pun was wild 💀
I always liked the simplicity and subtleness of The 91st Mobile Recon Corps. Very straight forward.
Coruscant Guard for me the coolest clones yes even fox he is actually my fav one.
We need a Tales of the Clones series going through various legions and battalions and how their relationships with the Jedi were like and what battles they survived
If the 501st is a legion it should have 57 commanders. How is it then possible that Rex leads it as a mere Captain and we never see the Commanders?
Ahsoka was a commander but I get your point
Yeah but they had Anakin
Rex was actually in favor to be promoted to a commander, but ultimately turned it down because he wanted to "be down there with the boys"
@@RepJunkieJr Information from the air
212th is my favorite. Loyal to Cody and Kenobi, some of my all time SW faves.
I always loved the 7th sky corps color scheme. Also fought under kenobi
Orange is not the color 7 of the case, orange is the color 212.
The 7th Corps also included the 442nd Regiment and the 501st Regiment and several other units with different colors. What you say is color 212.
U forget to say that the 187th was the only one who doesnt execute the order 66... because they was so loyal to windu to have orders from anyone else... when the 501th atacks corusant... the 187th was the only team helping the jedi to survive before the 501 kill them
Where did u get this information from?
Windu is dead by that point
Wish more was shown about life for the clones on board the ships, whether the Acclimator class assault ships, or the other ships of the New Republic.
What is there to show?
Basically, life on board warships consists of combat posts, food, sleep and a lot of free time for self-development. There was no entertainment or any of this on the ships, mostly the clones just sat in the barracks and minded their own business.
Seeing as how I’m a paratrooper in real life, I gotta go with the 2nd Airborne company. 7th Sky Corps
🫡
My favorite armor look, is the 41st Ranger platoon or the Wolfpack! I think closely followed by the 501st
What is the scene at 0:10?
S6 episode one of the clone wars it’s the battle with commander doom
That was the Domino Squad
9:09 is that from a book? where did you find pictures of the clone armor "paint job"
Wolfpack. Loved their Armor and it was Filoni's Favorite. Makes me wonder if there's a Sokka in there 😅
Wolfpack. Sabaton.
1:07 Ah George...I'm wondering how that Captain keeps up with the admin for his company being the sole Officer with no HQ staff...
If I had the option to go with Appo or Rex, I'd probably choice Appo since the part of the 501st with Rex all die, which is funny couse rex and bly are my two favorite clone troopers.
Its crazy to think that a seemingly throw away line from the original movie led to all this.
"You fought in the clone wars?"
"Magnificent. Aren't they."
My favorite is the 442nd. No particular reason, I just like that shade of green.
10:39 the Lego character part was funny
(Which I guess is to expect when military's are written by people that don't understand them.)
I'm not even going to try and address the 501st as honestly.
@@CloneCommanderCrater1102
Whilst I get what your saying, the only issue i can see is that im pretty sure the clone wars designers said that the anaxes troopers are in no way connected to the 187th and that they are intended to be completly different units. Also im pretty sure that the Airborne armoured commander was called the 187th battalion commander when he was first released though I may be wrong there.
@@Bowsy-1120 I mean, the Anaxes clones are CANONICALLY referred to as the 187th Battalion, so they are definitely connected to the 187th Legion.
@@Bowsy-1120 The Anaxes trooper is referred to as the 187th Battalion on the Hasbro figure released of that design, and Hasbro only called that figure the 187th Battalion because that's what Lucasfilm officially told them to call it.
My headcanon for the Purple 187th clones:
The 187th Special Operations Group
Leader: Jedi General Mace Windu and Clone Commander Atlas
Specializing in covert and clandestine operations, a very exclusive unit comprised of some of the best clones in the GAR. Their missions are highly classified, hence why they haven’t been seen much
I would join the 501st because I feel it would’ve been the funnest and most rewarding clone battalion to be in because a skin always had fun startegies
@@chopper3940 I’m gonna be honest bro I don’t know what have the stuff you said means but the 591st would still be really fun+captain rex
@@That_OneBozo. I'll tell you this, it won't be very fun to be in 501, whose commander is Skywalker. And especially if you are in a torrent company.
My favorite Trooper/s are the 5 units from the first season of the Clone Wars series, Hevy, 5s, Echo, Cutup and Droidbait. Hevy is my favorite above all other Shinyies
How does a platoon have 10 squads if 10 men consist a squad and a platoon has 41 soldiers
The marshal commander
The captain/ comander
COMMANDER Rex! He got promoted remember?!
And then demoted
501st all the way
Fr, f*ck them Jedi.
I like the 41st elite corps more
Great content!
This is my favorite series by you please do more such as something to do with every rebel trooper variant.
We already did! Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/WhuWvg-bbrQ/v-deo.html
I cannot say how much I appreciate the love of an apprentice.
He forgot the bomb squad
Would like to see more of the galactic marines. Just the thought of them fist-fighting super battle droids and actually holding their own is awesome.
People under me like star wars
I have too many fav’s. Rex, Cody, Wolffe. Can’t forget the Bad Batch (clone force 99). Also Captain Howzer (Howzer’s squad part of the Lessu battalion), the aqua blue is nice.
It was around 800 million clones, not 3 million.
It doesn't add up, the battles were never big enough to believe there are so many troops
@@kadsennecher5087 3 million is smaller than some militaries on earth right now, you do realize How big space is right? To occupy hundreds of different planets would take a lot more than 3 million people

87th was probably mace windu's recon'd corps. It would make the most sense, since he is the Jedi councils' enforcer, and close quarters urban combat would be his forte. 187th being his airborne sub sect that directly fights with mace windu.
My legion was the best
really good video brother
i actually like stormtroopers more

I accuse you of treason against the grand army of the republic
@@awesomemanmatthew3450 clones are literally just clones, you make how many you want and they don't change, they don't have a family, while stormtroopers do

My Fav. Unit will be Horn and Keeli Company just because of their design and what they have done especially the Keeli Company
Bro rlly said “7th corps” for the 212th legion lmao 💀 he also forgot the coruscant guard shock troopers
I am a huge fan of the clone troopers especially the bad batch and they are one of my favorites and I would go with the 501st clone battalion because Rex had so many friends and Star Wars the clone wars the final season in season 7 episode 12 victory and death was tragic. The death of the clone troopers of the 332nd company was tragic and Arc Trooper Jesse’s death was most tragic of all.
Being a fan of a bad batch :skull:
@@chopper3940the bad batch is a great squad and it is exciting to see Commander Wolffe in the final season of Star Wars The Bad Batch.
@@adrialwrecker The bad batch is one of the weakest commandos units in the republic.
The power of a bad party is literally sucked out of thin air; their skills are literally the lowest of all known Republican Command units, let alone full-fledged ARC clone groups.
Needless to say, the bad batch betrayed the Republic and didn't do Order 66, and they also saved the Jedi. A bad batch belongs in the dregs.
It always struck me as weird to see the clones marshalled out in full armor, just to get their bucket.
Seems like the armor and lid would have been a package. They kinda work together lol.
And if the argument is that they got each off a separate queue....well, thats kinda dumb too.
their was another commander in the 13th iron battalion that had yellow and grey marking on his armor
he is hidden in a area where it explains he was killed by the general and the padawan tho the general didnt make it

Captain Keeli’s battalion or whatever it may be will always be my favorite. I like the brown
I also believe that Gree faked his death by having someone take his armor while he went to find answers about the inhibiter chip
Nova corps, 187th, and wolf pack were always my personal favorite
104th is my favorite coolest armor too
the 104th is my favorite clone trooper unit probably because plo koon is my favorite jedi and Wolfe is in a three way tie for first along with Fox and Fives ironically
The Wolf pack, I really like the their grey armor.
I still love plo koon, also love wollfe
Zeus company of the 41st def on top, sick armor and had then prestigious job of protecting 41st High Command.
I kinda thought that for kenobi and his clones would be the 212th attack battalion
I would love to see clones troopers in samurai or spartan armor
Wtf
I'm gonna cry, he forgot the 187th Legion
327th star corps is my favourite by far
I’ve always loved the 187th legion and there jedi Mace Windu. I’m not exactly sure why I just love them
I love how one of the depictions of the 187th legion in legends is the Lego version
Coruscant guard don’t judge me but fox is my favorite commander
I would join either the original first white clones or the 501st or the 212th or the Wolfe pack
The original white clones were all part of battalions they just didn’t have markings yet, so you can’t join the white ones you would have to join one of the battalions still
41st elite clone trooper battle corp... Marshal Commander. Love the scouts.
Respectfully, the in course guard
