The fact that none of the clones in the prequels were real and were all cgi still amazes me. Live action just comes with so many imperfections that can come across as looking sort of fan-made or plastic that cgi doesn't.
I mean the fact that every clone movement is individually mocapped helps a lot. It's very easy because all of their movements are real, they're not animated by someone, they're all motion captured and then they just rig the models. Even when you see the clones loading into the cruisers, they could have easily just repeated the same animation for most of the clones but if you look, they've been rigorous with their mocapping and lots of the animations are unique to each clone. i had figured for a vast majority of scenes that the clones would be cgi in attack of the clones and revenge of the sith but there were few instances where i was fooled like when the 501st had stopped bail organa from entering the temple and finding out what was going on the close up sure fooled me
The CGI for the clones is still my favorite, you can hardly tell imo. I loved them bringing fans to play as the clones in Andor, Kenobi and Ahsoka but they also are different height and armor quality is a bit different for each, they need Disney Quality like the storm trooper armor.
When I was a child, I never realized the Clone troopers in AOTC and ROTS were CGI. I thought always: "Where did they get so many men who are exactly 1,83 meters high?" 😂

0:42 dude on the left looks like Neymar LMAO
man that was a quick ass 8 min, i was just so engrossed in learning more about clone troopers lol
The parts in attack of the clones look like something out of the clone wars
0:44 i swear the guy sitting next to him looks like Neymar Jr
How insane to have been someone to fight jango fett or kill him then have to fight in a war surrounded by him
I’m not even mad that most of the prequels were cgi because the cgi was REALLY GOOD
I will say, the CGI clones were totally fine honestly. It allows for them to truly be clones, all the same size and perfectly copied.
Speaking of soldiers doing clones, former US special forces operators were heavily involved in the making of Republic Commando
Ngl the cgi clones looks so good that like it kinda makes new live action clone armor look clunky and weird lmao
The cgi looks so much better. The live action armour looks so cheap . Which amazes me since the original live action stormtroopers looked amazing so
I ❤ clone troopers!
The biggest issue in my head is that the Disney live action clones feel like costumes while the cgi ones felt like actual battle armor
I love the CGI clones honestly they could have kept using them in several episodes even in flashbacks I didn't really like the fact that used actual cast wearing clone armor cuz they made the Moodle chubbier and different
Temuera was the biggest character of star wars the biggest One Man Army of jango and the entire clone army and man of many faces
Rex was in return of the Jedi at the battle of Endor. First live action appearance of him technically back in 1983, although retroactively canonized.
I remember Commander Cody superimposed in his armor looking bad even in the theater in 2005, lol
I know they put so much effort into shows like this strangely i feel like the clones dont know how to be human when there standing or walking
I guess you could say Rex's cameo in Return of the Jedi technically counts as a live action clone trooper appearance.
When i was kid back then i never realised it was cgi. Meaning that the cgi back then works
I think it’s wise to say it’s better to have CGI Clones than random actors wearing plastic around their body
you know what i noticed in the grogu flashback? some of the clones are left handed, which wouldn't make sense seeing that there an exact clone of one another which means they shouldn't be left handed, although a possibility is that when being trained they were trained by someone left handed, so that would make sense
I think it would be cool to see a live action wolffe. Concept: he could be shown on Scarif where he is positioned to keep under water control of the separatists. He is positioned with the Jedi padawan of plo koon, Bultar Swan. He then proceeds to deny order 66 and shoot down the other members of the wolf pack
Some Clones did serve up until and past the Battle of Yavin. They weren't all abandoned. The newest clones would of been around 40 in human years.
i had figured for a vast majority of scenes that the clones would be cgi in attack of the clones and revenge of the sith but there were few instances where i was fooled like when the 501st had stopped bail organa from entering the temple and finding out what was going on the close up sure fooled me
The clone scenes in Andor were intense
does everyone just not notice Vaughn is in the Ahsoka Flashback?
Where?
No idea that the clones in the prequels was CGI :O Thought they was real people, only time I thought it was CGI was from 1:40 to 1:50. Really amazing!
The CGI for the clones is still my favorite, you can hardly tell imo. I loved them bringing fans to play as the clones in Andor, Kenobi and Ahsoka but they also are different height and armor quality is a bit different for each, they need Disney Quality like the storm trooper armor.
Clones are so fckin cool
I can't believe it took me until today to realize that the shot of all the clones eating was *not* Temuera Morrison... I'm ashamed.
Order 66 flashback to balyon gonna happen tomorrow clone trooper
Yeah lol
i can't believe they made real clones for the new stuff
As for me, cgi clones looks better than life version, the armor, moves, all better and looks more professional I think than cosplay live action...
I love the battle of kashyyyk❤
you know to this day the CGI of the clones still fools me now and again
When I was a child, I never realized the Clone troopers in AOTC and ROTS were CGI. I thought always: "Where did they get so many men who are exactly 1,83 meters high?" 😂
The ability for CGI armor to clip into itself is another reason why the movements just look that much better than the live action... unfortunately hurdle that real life plate armor costumes can't quite get around haha
