Hello there Dave Filoni created this arc just to cause pain in our hearts. To know how close Fives was to uncover the plot, but knowing full well how bad it would end. Good what if.
What is most tragic about this arc is that it effectively shows that the Clones had no choice. Just the phrase "Execute Order 66" and their free will was gone.
What if the jedi were actually intelligent enough to realize that finding a convenient clone army just when they need one isn't a coincidence. And then decide NOT to bring them into the Republic ?
The issue is that the Republic literally had no standing military at the time. It was debated heavily in the senate for decades as small conflicts arose in the galaxy. And with the separatists already having a prepared droid army, The republic would stand no chance while they spent months conscripting and training soldiers. Not to mention the war vehicles and funding needed to even support such an army. The Jedi and the Republic literally had 0 choice.
@Abygoneage A "What if?" where the Republic realized it's probably not wise to allow Corps to build up large martial forces while the Republic has nothing, and so decide to build up their own drone forces just in case.
@@Kingneo0053 and do what? be a dictatorship that tells Companies, Corporations and Neutral worlds what to do? The very reason the war happened in the first place was because the Republic was over taxing the outer rim to support the use of para militaries to fight off pirates. All of this stems from the Sith secrectly causing discourse throughout the galaxy, Encouraging insurgents to fight the establishment and causing chaos, corruption, confusion, and complacency in the Senate.
LOL……Just when they need it….is literally about two days before the outbreak of the war. The Republik didn’t have an army and they needed an army because the separatist had an army, the only way this works is if The Jedi have the common sense to maintain the Highground at Geonosis and Prevent the separatist leaders from leaving the planet instead of engaging in a ground battle… otherwise they are forced into having to keep using the clones out of necessity

@@lordofpain3476 Yeah, that's a good point, the Jedi High Council collectively were rather stupid, to say nothing of full of themselves. I think the Jedi High Council also knew fully well-or at least had plenty of reason to believe-that Ahsoka would not receive a fair trial and she would be executed on circumstantial, even outright phony "evidence" for reasons of petty, stupid politics. Anakin was kind and was loyal to the clones throughout the entire clone wars, he even stood by them when he killed the Jedi in the temple. I can absolutely see this happening and him protecting fives and listening to him. Anakin fought side by side with the 501s on countless missions and knew fives and would want to get the bottom of it
Who then killed any Clones who found out the truth of him being Anakin (while in the suit) and his care for his troops drastically went downhill. Keep in mind the 501st did the majority of the work, Anakin (dubbed Vader) didn't go rushing in like he did during TCW battles...
@@Kamikazi91127 I think you missed the entire point of someone falling to the dark side. Anakin died, he was killed by Darth vader. Darth vader literally says this himself many times
Only thing I can say is that I don't know if Anakin would choose Fives over Palpatine. Palpatine was a friend and mentor to Anakin at this point which is why Anakin got heated when Fives implied that the Palpatine was responsible for it and the fact Anakin sounded angry that Fives tried killing Palpatine
Before the inhibitor chip reasoning, you could say he was the proto-Daenerys Targaryen or Grey Worm, commanding his Star Wars equivalent of the Unsullied. Except he wasn’t ever a king or emperor, rather, a former slave leading a band of loyal, disciplined, professional, slave soldiers.
Two minor thoughts. Fives was injected with a neuro toxin that made him act iraddictally so it would’ve passed by the time he talked to the council. And if Fives was sound of mind he may have been able to work something out with Anakin to save himself from Palpatine. I could see them dressing up a dead clone and giving him to Palpatine saying he didn’t survive without his chip
Also there was the part when destroying the main ship of the separatist fleet shut down all the droids. After that happened on Naboo, all of the droids could operate with out the capital ship.
Not likely to succeed as Fives had unique features that other Clones didn't have, simply trying to masquerade a fallen Clone wouldn't have worked. Keep in mind Palpatine's plan was designed when his master was still alive. Now did it run into unseen circumstances (Anakin for instance) yes, but it still played out to the letter (give or take)
It always bugged me fives never said they drugged him. Or that neither skywalker or rex really took fives serious. Even in season 11 where rex says find 5's the info is so watered down.

The members of the 501st really were some of the most independent clones out there. You have to take into consideration that Fives and the other members of Domino squad were regular clones - no Null ARCs, Commanders or something else - Regs. To achieve such independence is very remarkable when you're geneticly engineered to be loyal above all
For how upsetting yet necessary it was to see Fives get sidelined like that when he was SO close to unravelling this age old plot, this what-if does it justice enough to heal my heart a little. God I love the Clone Wars, hasn’t changed since I was a kid watching it. Good work
What if Count Dooku actually went back to the light side? If you remember in episode 2, Count Dooku talks about how Qui Gon always spoke highly of Obi Wan and how he could use Qui Gon’s help “right now” showing how he feels regret taking the path he took, only for Obi Wan to shut him down with “Qui Gon would never join you.” What if Obi Wan actually listened to him and tried to help him?
Do you think Dooku knew about Order 66? He never really seemed to resent the Jedi enough to stage a genocide against them, but seemed more unhappy with the corruption within the Republic, which is why he was willing to lead the Separatists in a bid for independence. I feel like Palpatine never would have told him about Order 66.
@@curriphacreator That was just a few (what he felt sacrifices) Jedi to the cause of the Separatists, not a wholesale slaughter of thousands which is an entirely different scale.
@@Slayer398 sorry, but it says that where? All I've seen and read testifies that Dooku is as crafty and bloodthirsty as the worst Sith out there. Besides, how many massacres did he commit during the Clone Wars? Dooku was done with the Republic and the Jedi. He was a full-on Sith, with all the evil that comes with the Dark Side.
Not meaning to rain on your idea, but there needs to be reason for that beyond "because", then it becomes interesting and we can speculate because the Kaminoans weren't "loyal", so much as they had common interests with the Jedi.
The Jedi knew the Clones were child soldiers, ergo they would've had to then arrest the Kaminoans on principle and as long as they were prostrating themselves trying to find the Sith Lords under their nose, they didn't have to have THAT conversation. It's the true ideological fallacy behind this that Sidious utilized to hollow-out the Jedi Order's capacity for decision making from the top down, done while they were at their most confused.

No way would he decide to fight at the front lines unless he was confident he’d win. 4: I really doubt the Jedi would trust the senate, viewing how much control Palpatine had by that point, they most certainly would see it as a rabbit hole and they wouldn’t know who to trust. 5: Palpatine in the prequels is always written to be 5 steps ahead, call it bullshit, call it plot armor, but palpatine losing all his plot contrivance in a series of brain farts doesn’t seem in character. Had that happened and had palpatine needed to accelerate his time tables, he certainly would do so upon realizing Order 66 was compromised. Imagine the chaos alone activating order 66 as the separatists invade, imagine the chaos as the very army protecting the republic turns on the Jedi and the senate that sided with said Jedi, the droid army descending below to further stretch the Jedi thin as they attack the surface. Surely the Jedi couldn’t survive those odds and perhaps the galaxy would become a worse place as the galactic republic is sacked, the Jedi are eradicated and scattered failing to save coruscant, the senate and the people massacred, and palpatine forced to become a warlord over ash and brimstone as the remaining separatists are placed under his thumb of rule while the galaxy falls into chaos.
why would Dooku still be on Palpy's side. He played Double Agent. He switched sides to find the Sith's plans. He told Obi about the plot and that Palpy was a sith.
What if Anakin lost to Obi Wan on mustafar and lost his limbs. What if Palpatine won the clone wars. What if Yoda exiled himself to dagobah after Revenge of the Sith? What if LUke and Leía were separated at birth. Cmon man I’ve been asking for these since 2005
@@goliathgar4985he would rule the empire, lost limbs are no big issue since he has mad midichlorians, but without the need for life support? He could take on sidious.
So, in theory this is nice, and I usually really like happy endings, but I would like to point out that the Jedi Order in its entirety was slowly drifting towards the dark side without realizing it during the republic era. I say this primarily due to their rejection of attachments, not only because it denies the concept of love, which is the most important aspect of the light, but also because of their reason for rejecting attachments, that being fear. I think if they had been given an abundance of time without being destroyed, the Jedi would have turned to the dark side in their own unique way, not becoming Sith, at least not by name, but I think their need to intertwine themselves with politics would gradually draw them into wanting more power "for the sake of peace." Ultimately the perceived need for power would drive them towards the dark side, and the fear which they were unwittingly allowing to control the order's policies regarding attachment, and the apathy that would develop towards others as a result of not allowing attachments would ultimately lead to the Jedi Order becoming just as bad if not worse than the empire. A new order of force users would have to develop in opposition to it, and it would have a far more difficult task fighting an order that controlled a unified republic with a clone army than the rebel alliance had fighting the empire. The turn would be gradual, but there would be a turning point when the Jedi would decide that it would be to dangerous for force sensitive children to be left to develop on their own, and either take them from their parents regardless of consent, or kill them if they were deemed too old and by extension, too dangerous to train. Granted, I think a new order would eventually form, something closer to what the Jedi were originally supposed to be, and light would eventually triumph over darkness, but the Jedi from the age of the galactic civil war were on the road to ruin with or without Sith interference.
What if windu survived the fall and forgave and understood anakin and why he did it, then goes on to redeem Vader and lead him back to the light and try to make things right between them
Wow, ill have to say this is a very well thought out and put together video. Very interesting to be sure. Even though this would erase Lukes entire arch and the OT, id be down with watching a "What if" offically put together anamated or filmed version, even though thats basically what we just got. Good job, truly. Only someone that really loves Star Wars could have put this much attention to detail together. Thank you.😊
In some point, you can see CT-5555 Fives as the FIRST rebell, he tried to warn everyone and gave his life so Rex could start investigating deeper. Saddest part is apart of Rex no one believed Fives, not even Anakin.
Tbh, I think that story is kinda finished. I don’t see myself adding to it any time soon. I am uploading the combination of the 3 parts soon - and I’ve redone parts 1 and 2 with better images and audio quality.
one flaw i noticed, by the end of the clone wars all of the separatist battle droids were individually controlled. it was only in the beginning of the war that if a separatists control ship was destroyed all the droids would shutdown. since they changed it, when the control ship is destroyed it wouldn't affect the droids on the ground, meaning the battle would continue. possibly a better outcome would have been to use some sort of EMP to shutdown the droid army. although many other civilian and republic droids would be shut down too, they could be reset so that they return to working order.
I'm so sad this isn't what happened :( I would've cried for the happy ending. The Jedi Council made it known to viewers that they were on the slow side and chose to be blind. Also you do a amazing job at telling a story.
1st: Great storyline, would have been an epically climactic Battle of Coruscant. 2nd: They stopped using droid command ships after the events of Episode I, so that plot point is flawed.
Coruscant has a planetary shield that prevents enemy ingress from orbit, and the droids was made self-propelled (as in not requiring a specialized control station or ship to function) after the events in Episode I, lastly, "parts of the planet was destroyed" except the city-planet is hundreds of kilometers tall (counted from original surface to tip of the tallest buildings, as Coruscant has multiple sections beneath the "surface" including an entire city-structure beneath), so, destroying a part of even "just" a section of the surface would likely not be even plausible if as much as an entire super-stardestroyer crashed down on top.
It’s absolutely and perfectly beautiful! If Fives didn’t die and exposed the truth to the Jedi, the Clone Wars would’ve ended even more heroically especially with the deaths of Darth Sidious, Count Dooku and General Grievous.

A lot of this was fairly plausible and I liked it. Nicely done video.
Day 30: What if General Grievous was secretly a Republic spy?
36 more days my friend. The video is coming

What if Anakin lost to Obi Wan on mustafar and lost his limbs.
What if Palpatine won the clone wars.
What if Yoda exiled himself to dagobah after Revenge of the Sith?
What if LUke and Leía were separated at birth.
Cmon man I’ve been asking for these since 2005
You had me in the first half icl
More like What if Anikan lost to Obi-Wan on Mustafar, limbs lost but not burned by the lava
@@goliathgar4985he would rule the empire, lost limbs are no big issue since he has mad midichlorians, but without the need for life support? He could take on sidious.
This is probably one of my favourite fan scenarios for star wars

"What if" The Jedi discovered that the Sith Temple under their own on Coruscant was corrupting them?
So, in theory this is nice, and I usually really like happy endings, but I would like to point out that the Jedi Order in its entirety was slowly drifting towards the dark side without realizing it during the republic era. I say this primarily due to their rejection of attachments, not only because it denies the concept of love, which is the most important aspect of the light, but also because of their reason for rejecting attachments, that being fear. I think if they had been given an abundance of time without being destroyed, the Jedi would have turned to the dark side in their own unique way, not becoming Sith, at least not by name, but I think their need to intertwine themselves with politics would gradually draw them into wanting more power "for the sake of peace."
Ultimately the perceived need for power would drive them towards the dark side, and the fear which they were unwittingly allowing to control the order's policies regarding attachment, and the apathy that would develop towards others as a result of not allowing attachments would ultimately lead to the Jedi Order becoming just as bad if not worse than the empire.
What if Kit fisto, Obi-wan, Anakin, Windu, And Ashoka went to arrest palpating before order 66
kit and ahsoka would have died leading anakin down the same path. could honestly be an interesting comic
13:00 by that time the droids wouldn't need a control ship to operate.
Well they would still panic without orders considering their commanders are dead

What if Ahsoka got the powers of the daughter
Good idea!
What if windu survived the fall and forgave and understood anakin and why he did it, then goes on to redeem Vader and lead him back to the light and try to make things right between them
Hmm I think if Windu survived he wouldn’t follow this course of action, but it’s interesting to think
This would be very interesting. But Mace Windu wasn't normally the forgiving type.
@@brokenbridge6316should have become darth vindos
And then enters Maul, Venturess, Savage, and Talon The new sith and throws the rule of 2 away for a stronger order at least thats what they think
videos like these make me wish there was a what if series for star wars with the clone wars style animation, really loved the deep dive dude!
They offered the one thing we couldn't refuse, *money*
Dude this was great. Imagine if Disney was willing to do a what if show for the clone wars. This would be one episode I would kill to see.
Ironic how Dooku's old age getting the best of him results in his death by YODA
Wow, ill have to say this is a very well thought out and put together video. Very interesting to be sure. Even though this would erase Lukes entire arch and the OT, id be down with watching a "What if" offically put together anamated or filmed version, even though thats basically what we just got. Good job, truly. Only someone that really loves Star Wars could have put this much attention to detail together. Thank you.😊
True, I would love it if there was a Star Wars What If series.
This is very well done. Part of me wishes this was canon
Great video! I would like to see what if Jango Fett killed Mace Windu in AOTC
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed. Definitely need to do some Jango Fett videos soon
What if general grievous and his 2 Magna guards helped count Dooku fight Anakin and obi wan on the invisible hand.
If hevy didn’t die he probably would have taken fives character arc
Ah yes, another "what if Anakin grows brains to think with" scenario
Free my boy Fives!
Yes!👍
Sir yes sir
I didnt think the newer models of droids needed a command center, but were instead independent thinkers?
6:00 SEDUCE ANI TO THE DARK SIDE?!? WHAT WAS PALPATINE PLANNING AT FIRST
Bro imagine an entire clone army thousands of them like hundreds of thousands of them being led by one man Rex himself, what a giga chad.
"What if" Metra Surik didn't go to find Revan after defeating the Sith Triumvirate?

what if Darth Revan trained Luke Skywalker
What if Luke contacts all Jedi high council members force ghosts for training and confront Vader and palpatine
What if Luke time travels back to the time of order 66 at Jedi Temple attack
This was hands down the best what if with the best visuals good job man
In some point, you can see CT-5555 Fives as the FIRST rebell, he tried to warn everyone and gave his life so Rex could start investigating deeper. Saddest part is apart of Rex no one believed Fives, not even Anakin.
Please make What if Padme Amidala was a Sith Lord? Part 4
Tbh, I think that story is kinda finished. I don’t see myself adding to it any time soon. I am uploading the combination of the 3 parts soon - and I’ve redone parts 1 and 2 with better images and audio quality.
That's probably not going to happen. Sorry, friend.
Anakin would have a meltdown
Should've seen this sooner. It actually makes me quite sad knowing how easily the tides could have shifted.
Very great story! I’d love a sequel to this where you go over the one lingering thread, Maul.
Man I really miss the original story. No secret cop out chip, no hidden order, no conspiracy. Just soldiers following orders.
one flaw i noticed, by the end of the clone wars all of the separatist battle droids were individually controlled. it was only in the beginning of the war that if a separatists control ship was destroyed all the droids would shutdown. since they changed it, when the control ship is destroyed it wouldn't affect the droids on the ground, meaning the battle would continue. possibly a better outcome would have been to use some sort of EMP to shutdown the droid army. although many other civilian and republic droids would be shut down too, they could be reset so that they return to working order.
Oh man, this is epic. One of my favorite fan fics and probably the best ending of the clone wars. I would pay to see this animated.
What if full potential Anakin and full potential Luke fight
Anakin diff
bro i could brush past the fact one of the pictures show a clone was shooting his blasters sideways lol
This is the greatest What if that no one in Disney and Marvel could've ever thought of. Masterful plot here.
What if the Red Astromech didn’t have a bad motivator?
Fives almost accomplished this 😭
Wouldn’t Palpatine also be charged with conspiracy to commit genocide?
Man, Star Wars really need an "What If" series, with the close inspection of Filloni of course, so Disney can't mess it up more.
I'm so sad this isn't what happened :( I would've cried for the happy ending. The Jedi Council made it known to viewers that they were on the slow side and chose to be blind. Also you do a amazing job at telling a story.
Droids didn’t rely on control ships after the Battle of Naboo.
Honestly I hope they do a what if movie like this. It would be absolutely superb content.
They probably wouldn’t believe him with their track record of bad decisions.
this is exactly why we need a what if for star wars. imagine a battle of corusant that would go crazy
And then, like a month later, Darth Maul invades Mandalore and they all have to deal with that
Damn! I want this ending so bad! A final battle in Coruscant while Palpatine, Dooku and Grievous fight all the other jedis is just amazing!!
What if Tup's inhibitor chip never malfunctioned?
I think this would have an effect on Ashoka during order 66, Rex would never tell her to look for Fives and thus, never remove his inhibitor chip
@@FantasyFolkloreoh yeah Rex would have killed ahsoka tano.

Rahm Kota: you're all idiots...
"What if" Sabine Wren discovered that she was Force-Sensitive at the same time Ezra did in the SW: Rebels series.
What if maul snitched on Palpatine after his brother's death
I think he was really close to tell Ahsoka but thing escalated too quick and they started fighting.
I would still kill him afterwards
They need to make a Star Wars "What if" with these storylines
Dude this would be amazing to watch in live action or even as a part of the clone wars. This is so crazy bruh I would love to see this
What if the Clone Wars reached earth during WW2?
This makes WAY MORE SENSE
wait, didn't the Kaminoans think Darth Tyranus was a Jedi?
Nah they were working directly with the separatists at least at the high levels
