Este cd forma parte de una coleccion titulada "" Joan chamorro presenta "" que se inicio hace 3 años con Andrea Motis y que tiene como finalidad la de ir dando a conocer a los diferentes solistas que van pasando por la Sant Andreu Jazz Band, y que por su dedicacion e ilusión , para mi, es un orgullo y un placer darles un apoyo en sus incipientes carreras....
en este disco contamos con la presencia de los saxofonistas Dick Oatts, Scott Robinson, del pianista Ignasi Terraza, del guitarrista Josep Traver, del bateria Esteve Pi, el trombonista Victor Correa , el bajista Curro Galvez, y de algunos compañeros de Eva, como son Andrea Motis, Jaume Ferrer , Arnau Julia, Carles Vazquez, Alba Esteban, y los miembros de la sant andreu jazz band en un tema.. que es el georgia on my mind...

I played this rendition of Eva Fernandez so many times. It's simply so beautiful! It's like a masterpiece by the Joan Chamorro band. Eva F. with that flower on her hair looks stunning!
At 82 I thought that the music I love and that of my parents was gone forever. Thanks to Joan Chammoro and these great stars from Spain I again enjoy music . I have to thank UA-cam also. Ava your great in these love songs.
Beautiful!! Love it! I find it incredible that all of the young ladies in Joan's big band are 1) Great musicians who play multiple instruments 2) They all sing and sing beautifully and 3) They are all very, very pretty! Wow!!
Eva and the band should know how much joy they have brought to so many around the world with this lovely performance.
I forgot to mention that they have in Barcelona nothing less, in my opinion, the worlds best Jazz pianist, Ignasi Terraza

They sure could write beautiful music in the older days. With this group with Joan leading them beautiful music is here to stay. I learned to cry again after 79 years, with these wonderful renditions of wonderful music. Thank you all. 🎷🎺🎼
Thats happens to me too. I'm 86, making Musik since I'm 60, but never was as good like those children. Joan ist a wonderfull teacher and these Children also.

I can surely relate. At the age of 79, my first club date at the age of 12, and having accompanied vocalists more times than I care to remember, my eyes get misty every time I hear one of these young ladies sing. In all of my years' involvement in jazz I never witnessed the depth and breadth of talent we see here.

My first exposure to this group of indescribably amazing young people was hearing Alba Armangou's voice. It was stunning the way every note she sang seemed to have a bit of her soul attached to it. That is so rare. Something that can't be taught, nor bought, nor faked. Then I heard the other vocalists in the group. They all have it! How is that even possible? Eva's performance here is a perfect example.
The sax n the girl's voice..the entire band...my ears are like getting gentle massages, think i ll close my eyes n savour this

I think it is marvelous that Chamorro gives all his young (and old!) musicians a chance to shine! It is interesting to hear the accent on these great old songs that I used to perform also, and still do, at home now, for myself. Music has been part of my life since age 4 when I began to learn piano. I've played classical with bands and orchestras, piano and instruments, and it's been music that has seen me through some emotional times, it is a wonderful thing to have in your life, to turn when you need it! Chamorro's direction gives all these young musicians a chance to perform with some seasoned musicians as well, a priceless opportunity!

For me, the beautiful Eva was the best singer out of Joan Chamorro's talents. She even manages to make Scott Robinson sound inspired. She was also playing some good sax. A pity she has left the "scuderia", she deserved success much more than others more exposed.

Eva's vocal is smooth. Scott sax solo is silky rich. Ignasi piano solo adds to the smooth rendition. The big band backup makes for a terrific arrangement. Way to go Joan.
