- Sunday funday everyone!! I mean, this is obviously coming to you on a Friday, but this was how my week started, even if you're only seeing it at the end! My favourite this time were the lovely black Arabian Cowrie, as well as the Rosy Frog Whelk, Captain Cone, and the broken Soldier Cone. Wonderful finds!

Sweetheart, you so DESERVE those lovely finds! You worked hard and risked your life in a typhoon, with 40 foot waves, killer whales and man-eating sharks, jellyfish, poisonous octopus, killer cones and snapping turtles! Or, at least some rather high surf and scary 🌊 waves. . . Your enthusiasm never lets me down. No matter how bad my day has been you lift my spirits and have me smiling in a few short minutes! G’day Cathy 👋🏻💖 Haha, and you didn’t even include getting to the beach in the first place! I needed to trek through miles of dense bush land, dodge the dangerous drop bears 🐨, kick box with a kangaroo 🦘, and beat back swarms of spiders and snakes 🐍! It was chaos, I tell you 😭!! Haha, and yeah, then gosh-darn it all, I ran into this snapping turtles 🐢 just kidding! Ahhh Cathy, you did bring a smile to my face 🤣 The waves were crazy, that’s true though… the waves also brought a lot of lovely seashells along with them 🐚 I’m so glad that I could life your spirits; I think I recall you had a really tough situation on your hands a little while ago… hope you’re doing better now ❤️🩹 All the best to you as well. I really like that soldier cone, even though it is broken. The pattern on it is really cool.

Lovely shells Maddie, I loved all the cowries you found. There is something very pleasing to the eye about them, smooth and roundish and beautiful colours and patterns. The soldier cone was good too even if it was missing a bit. The rock/tide pools are so clear where you make some of your finds. It obviously pays to get to the beach early, I would also enjoy having the beach to myself 😂. Xxxxx
G'day Alison 👋🏻💖 It was a day full of surprises for me; it's not often that I find so many glossy and unusual shells in one day ✨☺️ Oh gosh, you've pretty much nailed why I love Cowries so much ❤️🐌 shiny and colourful and round, the perfect combo! The Solider Cone, gosh, the colours and patterns were so clean and vibrant on it, so even though it's broken, it still looks really lovely. Oh yes, the water is usually very clear, for which I am extremely thankful! I can imagine how much more difficult it would be to find these shells if the waters were murky. After lots of rain, the waters will go brown from the creek and river run-off, and sometimes the wind and rough waves will make seafoam, but I'm glad those times are only a minority. I live the crystal clear waters here 🏖️❤️ Thank you so, so much for watching 🥰

What an exciting day! 🎉🎉🎉 The Arabian cowrie was beautiful. So many pretty shells. 🥰 My favorite today is the frog shell!!! 🐸🐸🐸 I just loved the “lumpy bumpy” texture. Oh, and the gyre triton shell too. Okay, so I had two favorites. 😂 Wonderful shelling today, thank you! 🥰🥰🥰

Ok, maybe it was like the main mean, and the little Nerite was the cherry 🍒😂 Oh my goodness, the frog shell!!! The frog shell would have been my favourite before finding the glossy black boi 😎 hehe, I thought you'd like the Lumpy Bumpy reference 😄 I got that from you!! Oh wow, the Gyre Triton as well? Oooh. Love the Captain Cone. It's beautiful. The Arabian Cowrie is enough to make a heart skip a beat as well. I also liked the banded moon snail? I think I would have woo-hooed out loud if I found any of those. Well done she'll seeker Maddie.😊

It did feel like I was in heaven, and better yet, I got to meet up with a sheller friend and had time to socialize too, so it was a double win 😲 I, umm, don't get out much other than to the beach 😅🏖️ Oh wow, the Gyre Triton and Frog Shell get the mentions today 🐚 The little Gyre Triton was such a surprise, but the Frog Shell, wow, I was just SHOCKED that the rock/coral I had looked at three times in the rock pool was actually a shell when I went for a closer look. Like, yes, I nearly didn't pick it up because it wasn't a shell in my eyes for a good 5 minutes!! Anyway!! It was an "Oh my gosh! What is she going to find next?!" video today, haha. My favs are the juvenile deer cowrie, the eroded cowrie, and the cones. 🙂
G'day Oceanluvn Gal 👋🏻🏖️💖 Haha, it was certainly a day full of surprises for me, I don't often have a day like this so full of shiny and unusually shells 🐚 Oh wow, you know, I nearly LOST that little juvenile Deer Cowrie in the mystery cave of doom. I put the Captain Cone in my backpack pocket, and the deer must have fallen out, because I found it again about 15 minutes later in the cave of doom. Ahhh, I wasn't even surprised 🥲😅 well, not for very long anyway, how typical of me 😆 the Eroded Cowries were a nice find too, so many of them today,and the cones were just spectacular with their clear colours and patterns. The triton, trumpet, frog whelk shell, cowries, captain cone was awesome, the little angle wing was very cute. Wow, there are just so many to pick from. You definitely had great picks today. The water was a little rough at times, but I would have gone after the shells as well. How cold does it get there for your winters? We are into spring, and the weather goes from cold and rainy to very warm. Our winter was very strange this year. Thank you for sharing your time and a wonderful shelling video. G'day Toni 👋🏻💖 Today was definitely one of my best days when it comes to variety, rarity, and shine🤩 Ahhh, the water is usually always like that, but I went in while the tide was still up so I could grab these first!! I feel a bit greedy, but happier that I got them 🤣 The weather does not get too cold here because it's Queensland; generally more tropical temperatures. We usually stay 10 degrees above freezing even at the worst of times 😉 I'll be shelling in the winter: thats the best time to find the best condition cowries. The sun and beach usually feel nice and warm in winter too (as long as it's day time!), so it's the best way to enjoy the season here. I'm so pleased that spring has finally arrived for you 🏖️ Thanks, as always, for watching 🥰

That arabian cowrie looks top tier and super dark too, it must have been eaten very very recently. Also exciting to find the soldier cone! I found my first whole one at Alexandra last week. Thanks for the video!

I must admit, I'm only familiar with Florida seashells and Australia seashells 🥲 Do you get any nice gastropod shells? Or just clams? @@SandCoffeeRocks We have a good mix of both. We have moon snails and quite a few whelks and tritons. Our scallops are much larger.
