@@MatthewCharles oh it takes a while to get used to it!! I've been drumming for close to 40 years and I saw Bill Ward doing it in the 70's and tried to play like that. Took me forever to get used to it. As far as Vinnie Paul, he knurled the tip ends of his sticks to get better grip.

Killer playthrough! I've always loved that particular snare sound. I first heard it when Lars from Metallica used it in St Anger (a severely underrated album imo), and wish it was used more. This was the perfect use of it, and the best is just mind melting 👊. Dude's a true ANIMAL on the set
