If the FCC heard this version there would not have been an investigation for obscenity! Love the stereo and clean vocals after hearing MUD for the past 60 years...
This remix that I was waiting for a long time, but I hear something unexpected at 0'19, like a jump. Am I the only one to hear this ? It was a good tune in 63...
Sounds like the singer is stuttering the word baby a bit. I read that the original by Richard Berry was written in a kind of jamaican-pidgin dialect, which made it difficult to understand the lyrics correctly.
That is a drum fill on the backing track. I thought I had got it low enough in level not to be noticable. You must have exceptional hearing Monsieur Lecam !
Like many aspiring musicians of the late 1960s, I played keyboards in garage band while I was in high school in the Washington DC area. From 1967 to 1970, in my neck of the woods, EVERY band had to cover this number and cover it well. This was a teen dance standard from about 1965 until at least 1970 when I graduated. Great job on this mix, as always -- it sounds way better than the original. I have one silly question, after listening to the original 45rpm single of this for hours and hours while I learned it, is whether I really DID hear a squeaky kick drum pedal in the original. I don't hear it in this, and I'd have to go on an archeological expedition to find and play my original -- it's in deep storage somewhere in my family, and I'd have to rely on one of my children for the playback gear (I haven't had a turntable since the mid 1980s). I ask because my bandmates and I all thought we heard it (in 1967).
Is this really just the original mono recording isolated into separate instrument and vocal tracks and then remixed by you?? The rhythm guitar in the left channel I can hear clear as day but on the original, not at all. It's just buried too deep in the mix. Were you really able to bring it out that clearly? Or did you add your own rhythm guitar track to enhance the song? 🤔
Solid stereo sound on this iconic rock ‘n’ roll song. Todd Snider does a song ‘Ballad of the Kingsmen’ on am album called ‘East Nashville Skyline’ which is a storyline on the Kingsmen and their cover of this song - interesting listen. Ace Records have a comp out with many versions of Louie Louie on record including the composer Richard Berry original. Not a hit for Berry and he sold the song off with others for a few hundred dollars (to get married it seems). Great stereo remix Pat which is going to get a lot of plays. Cheers and thanks for this one!
The grandfather of Punk Rock.Great three cord riff.
Thank you Mr Wollaton
The boys from Delta house sent me here. "Have a beer -- don't cost nothin."
Toga !, Toga !, TOGA !,TOGA !.

That doubled guitar solo is something else!
👍👍
the drummer's shout out left in...like it

@@radiowollaton8521 I think that my HD 555 of Sennheiser is perfect, maybe too much 😊👍
It is one of the most recorded songs of all time. I remember that in Germany every amateur band played that song. Great remix, Pat.
Thanks Gerhard 👍
Did they know the lyrics? Pre Google it's hard to decipher!!
I have an LP consisting of just this song by different artists.
...there was a volume two as well.

Thanks Thomas. I couldn't hear any squeaky drum pedal on this one. Listen to Needles & Pins by the Searchers. That is squeaky !
Animal House brought it back 😊
Good morning , Any Billy Stewart , Sitting in the park , Cross my heart , I do love you ?
I'll add them to my list !
Great remix, Pat! Thx!
Thanks Benoit 👍
