Aside from the nice melody, etc, it's amazing how tight this band was. Playing four times a day, circa 1959 - 1963, from Hamburg through Liverpool, and lots of places in between, must have helped.. Astounding.
The unique thing about the Wall Of Sound was that it is a combination of vocals, horns, strings, and rhythm instruments. And with the wizardry of a sound engineer, it was literally a living sound that breathed. It strengthened and enhanced the quality of the sound and the song. It can be done today. But I doubt that the artists will like that because they want a relatively clean and simple sound to enhance their lyrics and vocals. Great sound on a great song.😎👍🎷❤️
The other element of Wall of Sound was doubling or tripling instruments like drums, bass, piano. Just sheer sonic, harmonic power by virtue of reinforcement all at once in one room - - and that great Gold Star reverb!
Well done. This could also be considered a "Pet Sounds" style production which could be applied many songs on the Beatles' album "Rubber Soul" and maybe some songs on "Revolver".

Agree, the Mariah Carey treatment is too much and changes the character of the song. Not a fan of remixes of songs where other added instruments are inserted by the producer to a definitive version such as this.

Still, if PHIL SPECTOR had done it at that time, it would have been mono, so it would have felt very different from this version. This was a good idea and a good effort. The extra sounds definitely echoed a Ronettes type vibe. A tasty combination. The best things for me were the 12-string guitar solo and the stops before the verses came back. The biggest problem was... It goes on too long. The added jingly stuff becomes really cloying. Keep it the same structure as the original but add in the Rickenbacker solo + the added effects and see how it plays. Maybe double up the vocals and add more reverb, too. Double in a bass part. Needs a bit more girth. Still - - enjoyed it! Very fresh take!

The bridge works great but Phil Spector would never have used a stutter snare on a rhythm track like Ringo is playing during the rest of it. But kudos on the bridge!
What if Phil Spector got involved with the Beatles much earlier than he eventually did? Would we have a "Wall Of Sound" treatment instead of the George Martin treatment?
Phil Spector did not use the WALL OF SOUND technique on "LET IT BE". He knew what kind of sound really suited The Beatles. Many of The Beatles' early rock songs would not have been suitable for WALL OF SOUND, so he probably didn't do it. However, I imagine that some of the songs would have been even more brilliant with WALL OF SOUND.

Brian Wilson was deeply influenced by Phil Spector.
Brian Wilson IS the reason the Beatles and George Martin changed up their formula and thus came Sgt Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour.

The bridge works great but Phil Spector would never have used a stutter snare on a rhythm track like Ringo is playing during the rest of it. But kudos on the bridge!

What if Phil Spector got involved with the Beatles much earlier than he eventually did? Would we have a "Wall Of Sound" treatment instead of the George Martin treatment?
Phil Spector did not use the WALL OF SOUND technique on "LET IT BE". He knew what kind of sound really suited The Beatles. Many of The Beatles' early rock songs would not have been suitable for WALL OF SOUND, so he probably didn't do it. However, I imagine that some of the songs would have been even more brilliant with WALL OF SOUND.
