- Here is how I repair rips on a lined jacket or coat. The repair I show works for rips on the seams. This is how you can fix rips on the pockets, collars, zippers, or any other seam that was made from the inside.
You can follow the same steps to repair other lined garments as I show in this video.

Thankyou🙏🏻
My jacket seam frayed because they cut the fabric wrong and they sewed right on the edge of the fabric. I don’t have enough fabric on one side to sew it together. How do I reinforce the frayed area and add fabric? It’s about an inch in size?

How did u finish fixing the hole that u made in the sleeve to pull the jacket inside out?
With a seam on the face side of the lining.
@@SewingForALivingcan you explain further? An exposed seam?
resewing the same old seam does not fix the problem. a gusset needs to be added to allow for more movement so this does not happen again
True in some cases. Like when the garment is too thight in that area. But sometimes the treads are just worn off and old as in this trifted jacket. She's been wearing it for the whole season now and no new rips have appeared.
