As a student living abroad with a hole in his new t-shirt and no sewing skills, I really appreciate your video! Clear instructions and great video quality! Thank you! 💚
Perfect, thank you! I bought a shirt from Amazon and discovered a hole in the armpit the first time I wore it. I love the shirt, and now I don’t have to ask my mom to repair it for me before I can wear it again. Thank you!!!
This is incredible! I have a stack of t shirts that I want to mend for this exact same hole. I realized I was pulling the sleeve every time I removed the shirt, so that's how I kept getting that type of hole. Now, I don't do that anymore, but this will save the shirts that I did damage! Thank you
Thank you for this informative video...I wasn't ready for my favorite T to depart so...needle, thread and 45 minutes to repair two armpit holes on the seams, ready for another couple of years 🙌
Thank you for this video. Only difficulty I had was at the end, I don't know how you are incorporating the other end of the string (the one the needle is not holding. So I ended up making 3 knots, cutting the string off of the needle, threading the other end of the string through the needle and making 3 knots, then cutting it off the needle along with any excess on either side. Seems to be holding up on my first 3 attempts at this!
If your solution is working for you then that's great! Here is a link on starting and finishing a seam-sewing knot: ua-cam.com/video/dFecR4z5F3g/v-deo.html Usually, It's recommended to start the new stitch over old stitch. Same it goes for finishing stitch. Sew a stitch over existing one to incorporate the two. So, if old one keeps on undoing itself the new stitch should hold the fabrics together. Summarizing: start stitch couple of cm before the hole opening sewing over old stitch and finish couple of cm into the old seam as the hole comes to a close. Hope this make sense!
Thank you for the video. I need to sew a tear in a sweater. Just for future reference, when you say fry, you mean to say fray. So the sweater doesn't fray.
LOL...Right?! Yes, that's exactly what I was trying to say! Thanks for pointing it out! I did notice the mistake when I was editing the video, but thought since English is my second language my viewers would be understanding 😎 Definitely will keep this in mind for my future videos 😊
Hi, tried to do the same as you. A hole in the middle of the shoulder seam. The result is a closed hole but the sides have creases. It can be noticed that a hole has been sealed. Any suggestions?
Sorry, hard for me to suggest anything without seeing the problem... Probably I would try redoing it with smaller and tighter stitches and I would follow the original holes seam line to stay within the original seam allowance. Let me know how it went 🙂
lol...it sounds like a huge hole! Anyway, you can try to apply same sewing technique - if the hole is located along the seam. But if it's not, I have another video on fixing holes in t-shirt. You might want to check it out.
After two hundred of videos about armpit stains finally Iv found a video about worn out armpits. Thanks! 😀
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks to you I fixed my favorite shirt within 30 minutes! I wore it once, then I discovered a giant hole in the armpit. So thank you so much!
Fantastic! Glad I could help!

My too tiny budget and my t-shirts thank you and I do too! Now if only my stack of mending wasn't so tall!
The hardest part of any important task is getting started on it in the first place, so WELL DONE!! You can repair all that stuff. 😊

Thanks so much! ☺️
If only my hole was so small and so cleanly torn along the seams. My whole hand fits through it lmao :(
