My hometown, I used to live in those apartments at 7:22,my uncle used to own those, now they're renovated. I used to go to Danny's seafood across the street from there. Back in the 90s they had the best seafood boil, before it became so popular like now. I used to get the baked potato, crawfish, corn and smoke sausage. High school memories. R.I.P. to all the friends I lost from that area.
The reason area looks shabby is because most people think that cars still move on the streets, rim, shoes and nail are still visible but houses are immutable and only known to people in the area.
NOLA & Chicago are the only places that I legitimately had my guard up the whole time and kept my head on a swivel. They’ll try you just to pop you in the French quarter stay safe out there.
@@Entername-md1ev Some parts of the Southside & Westside are nice. Like Chinatown, UIC area, U of C area, Hyde Park, Beverly and the Irish area Mount Greenwood. Most of the Cook County suburbs are nice as well. If you lived in Chicago all your life, you know what areas to avoid.
OH, PLEASSSE! 🙄🙄 In 2022, New Orleans had a homicide rate that was almost THREE-TIMES WORSE than Chicago's! 🙄🙄 Last year, N.O. was over twice as bad. Have you ever been to Detroit, Baltimore, Memphis, St. Louis, East St. Louis, Cleveland, East Cleveland, Philadelphia, Little Rock, or Jackson? 🤔🤨 I've lived in Chicago for the last 34 years. What are your credentials? 🤔🤨
@@JdeC1994 I used to live in Auburn Gresham for 10 years, moved out summer 2017 after we had 102 shootings and 15 dead on 4th of July weekend. I’ve seen East St Louis too, Gary Indiana as well. Baltimore is also bad I hear
The only thing weird about these videos to me is when you start to see nice homes you turn the camera or switch scenes. Show the entirety of the neighborhood so we can all see the contrast because it is interesting to see people build brand new homes near abandoned and burned down ones. It shows the strength and the love people have for their neighborhoods despite it’s problems.
1 day somebody going to see these neighborhoods who called so bad. They're gonna come in like a hurricane. Stop sweeping up cleaning up and start relaxing and showing you how to enjoy life again. Didn't you be sitting down? That's what we've been missing. It yes, I miss you too.😮
I don't like the gentrification much it gives a different vibe to it I still love my city though I was there last month to make Mardi gras Footages along with driving videos aswell i drove though Uptown mid-city st claude lower 9 ward and Algiers and my Old Community New Orleans East .
Everywhere them people live move to or visits looks like a war zone! Had some of them people move to our neighborhood into a good looking home! By the time they were evicted the place look just like what you are showing here! Nasty they are just nasty 🤢!
Who put this video together the title of this video should be new orleans neighborhoods because those are not deadly neighborhoods as the title says you should be ashamed of yourself purely ashamed

@DonnellOkafor-pd7yn ok I was planning to visit rent a car
@DonnellOkafor-pd7yn ok I’m going to get some protection and then come
@DonnellOkafor-pd7yndamn ive never heard of people getting their gas delivered
New Orleans looks more like a city that would be based in the Caribbean.
Why
This is due to the influence of French architecture and history throughout Louisiana.
Same demographic
It really doesn’t only reason I say it don’t cuz of the brown water

You watch the video and you get the eerie feeling that a shootout could start at any moment.
The vehicles look pretty good, though, considering the area they're in...
I've noticed that too on all these videos, better cars than i drive
CBo bingo 🥱
It's a lot cheaper to have a nice looking vehicle than to live in a nice area

Always think of Lil Wayne and $uicideboys when I see New Orleans. Should be called Old Orleans. Nothin new about it😂
New Orleans rite next to Louisiana all of them areas are most drug related and violence 😮

I feel bad for the people that have no choice but to live among the hoodlums and thugs. It's 2024 and some people still chose to live this way.

Grew up in Oakland, Ca I’m convinced every city that is predominantly black look poor like this, small ruined streets, yet nice cars
You’re definitely not wrong. And usually every city has an East Side or Low End that’s most dangerous of any other areas.
