Alabama village
@@dagreazy3815 it’s definitely NOT Alabama Village. i did a video in Alabama Village.
when it was up n running which was more dangerous happy hill or alabama village..
@@dagreazy3815 🤷🏾♀️
U do kno ppl in happy hill claim PA
......but them projects in happy hill had gorillaz!!! but hale dr (AV) had more poverty low prices on drugs
So cool to explore minus all the trash…
The downfall of Prichard began with the Mayoral election of A. J. Cooper, some years back now. Chickasaw at the time somehow remained safe.
Wonder what the condition in Chickasaw is today?
Just SEEING this makes me feel sad...
Looks old neglected and abandoned. Even the trees looked neglected and abandoned.
I graduated from vigor 1990 and was on the football team that won the national championship and this makes me sick to see how bad it has got.
What happened?
So sad that things have gotten so bad since my child hood. Mattie T. Class of 88
I was door dashing 2 nights ago and was led into this neighborhood. So much is grown up and blocked off by dirt hills and trees but it was super creepy.
lol i wouldn’t dare driving through this neighborhood at night 🤦🏾♀️💀
@@JAKERALASHAY if I had control over it and knew where I was going. I wouldn't have driven through there. Bjt if shjt pops off I always have my 380, my AK and my holy water 🤣✡
@@candacearrington9295 i would’ve been soo scared 😭😭😭
@@JAKERALASHAY it was trippy. I'm so curious though. I wonder is tge abandonment bankruptcy. I am kinda looking into real estate. I'd buy that hood, fix it up and rent them out.
@@candacearrington9295 i really don’t know. i lived over there at sum point when i was in Elementary school. my mama told me they were trying to sell some of the houses back then i guess. maybe they couldn’t sell em and didn’t want the property so now they’re abandoned. don’t take my word i’m not sure, but that’s my guess. 🤷🏾♀️
It’s sad to see these houses neglected, a lot of them still have potential.
@@johnlopez1496 tbh, they might as well just tear it all down 🤷🏾♀️
When they say the Dirty South they really mean it😁
🤣
@@JAKERALASHAY be safe on your journey I love what you doing🇺🇸😁
@@TheBluesmanBlue thank u 😊
I remember it use be popping over that way
Wow you know idk if anybody else feels this way, but to me, it doesn't matter who enters into anyone's territory, doesn't matter how bad or good a person is, but the city/town should, at least, clean the effen garbage lol
It actually be the city/town's responsibility to clean the garbage, it should be a daily routine, people may complain about little on the streets, or anywhere else for that matter n know they shouldn't do it, but it should be cleaned by people working for the city/town...
Reply to velv s'Orezly. The town probably doesn't have enough revenue to take care of things because the majority of it's residents don't pay taxes.
I was a cop in Prichard for 4 years in the mid 1990's. What fun it was Sadly there are good people living there but you would never know that watching the news.
My ex took me through there last year just to show the difference between there and the hoods in MossPoint, i couldnt believe the city let the neighborhood go down lie this
Just rode threw there a couple of days ago hitting back streets
Back in the day I think this was called the stockyard
Smurf village.i stayed here
@@jaenettles6474 No, I lived in what is called “Smurf Village” back in the 80’s and early 90’s. It’s located off Price Avenue. We lived on Ace St which runs into Omega St.
Ach du Lieber, sieht das dort aus !!!! Grüße aus Deutschland 😮

This that BRAZY SHIT
@lashay I will be moving into this area in June. My owns a property and we’re renovating. How do we find about this neighborhood to start restoring it?
i really have no idea 🤷🏾♀️
Don't waste your money
If you own a yard, it's YOUR responsibility to keep it maintained, but outside, clean up your act there Mr. Mayor...
Im from prichard i use to walk to school i went to Palmer Elementary School and at that time crips ran that neighborhood very fucking dangerous shit happen in there rs
Cripsss? really? 😳 i use to stay over there when i was younger an it wasn’t that great of neighborhood. our house was broken into soo many times. 💁🏾♀️
Crips didn't run that hood just a few of us stayed over there. We did most our work in Snug. I'm Cane from over there.
@@jaenettles6474back when the crips & FOLKS was at war late 80s early 90s
Reminds me of the abandon neighborhoods in Detroit I've viewed posted by Hoods N Hollers and CharlieBo313...!
Can’t see any part of my old neighborhood. I don’t think it is Snug Harbor. We lived there in the early 60’s ... best place for kids ever.
This isn't Snug Harbor . I lived in Snug Harbor and we lived in two story 4 plex's with Prichard Park as the anchor where City Hall sits now. When Andrew Cooper became Mayor and did away with the Park to build a new building and office for himself was the beginning of the end of Prichard.
My friend Hollis Davis lived there
This is just so sad...
Name one of those streets, I did not recognize this area.
Why people feel the need to throw trash outside vs in a dumpster in beyond me. Just foolish, tacky and ignorant.
A Homeless couples dream development
I’m from Prichard and I can believe that it’s going to continue to look bad..I’m from Josephine Allen. Happy Hill..612 B Franklin dr.
Yea you out thr trenches fr
PA!!!! happy hills but anit nobody smilin😕
Prichard is so dangerous that 3 Army mechanized infintry units and an armored brigade would be cut to pieces.
how much is rent at one of those bungalow's?
lol how am i suppose to know??
It's free😂
I remember when snug vuse to have lpl all in there
Damn
This is the Old Cotton Mill Village,we lived there from 1946 to 1953 on what was then 351 Smith Ave,Prichard, Al.I went to Barton Academy there and they built a New school right next to it on Neese Ave.It was a very nice community until after we moved the Blacks turned it into The Hood. Its a disgrace how the Mayor didn't Stop this. We have some nice friends there and I loved my teachers. We had big yards to play in and only walked about 2 blocks to school. We were poor but we kept our homes and neighborhood clean. When the blacks with their drugs moved in they turned it into a Hell hole, the hood.I dont know When they changed the name of our street from Smith Ave to 611 Vernon Ave. The school was named Snug Harbor still when we moved in 1953.I cried when I saw the destruction of this lively community,it was my faviorite place we lived when I was in elementery school. We use to walk all over the neighborhood and had so many friends
The streets were not paved and we had no inside plumbing, but we were happy and lived very clean lives.Everybody helped each other in need.
I am 83 yrs old now.
Do u remember Welch’s Drug Store on Wilson Av ?
At the beginning you are going south on Craft Highway and you turn on Barton Blvd by Old Snug Harbor school. You are driving through the old Cotton Mill Village. I grew up with former residents there from fifties and sixties. They were all working people. I lived in a concrete duplex across Craft Highway highway till 1959. We moved to Chin street. Went 1st and 2nd grade in old wooden building there(Snug Harbor School) then Glendale, PJHS and Vigor. Great memories, great friends. It is disgusting what hateful black leadership did to the old Prichard. What they have done with Prichard has nothing to do with equality. This is cultural third world uncivilized lazy dysfunction. What you get with the welfare state and irresponsible undisciplined self indulgence. Don’t blame others. Fix yourself.
No life there, whatsoever 😔
@@modestinemungo4661 unfortunately. 🤧
Don't anybody live there!! Scary
That is one empty neighborhood
lol yea it’s abandoned.

Covid hit in 2020. Before that these houses were in prime condition, grass was green, children playing on the streets. 🤣
