- These things sound like shit with no exhaust. Sometimes a vehicle with no cats and stock muffler sound like trash. This one has no drone. You can barely hear it from inside but just enough outside
Atleats he put some cheesy music over the video that way we couldnt here how the expedition sounded...
So check engine light or what? Any more power what’s the details?
Ain't got a whole lot of back pressure on that unit, I'd say get some high flow cats on it, it'll pick up some low end torque.
I'm trying to hear the exhaust why does the video need a movie soundtrack 😂

@@alexander2398 I have a 98 ford expedition that I use for a work truck but I need some extra cash so I'm thinking about selling them. I know this guy who have been wanting to buy them from me for $500. Eventually I will get this new job and replace the whole exhaust system. But how did it run on a highway when you cut the catalytic converters out?
@@memnoninfinit1214 absolutely, just have pipe welded in place of where the cats use to be. It will have a check engine light for the 02 sensors but at least you know why. Truck will actually run the same maybe a little better because now it’s able to breathe
@@alexander2398 @@alexander2398 Oh ok great news. I'll have these things off by tomorrow. But I will have to get flexible piping because I don't have a welding machine and I gotta do it after I sell the cats because I'm broke until then.
@@memnoninfinit1214 unbolt from the collectors and after you hook one side of the flex pipe up, bolt the collectors back on. Then hook up the back side. Too bad you’re not in my area. My exhaust guy does it for about $60
thinking about taking the cats off my 5.4 navigator.. love the sound but i don’t think i want it quite that loud, think i should just take two out?

@@AW-of2nb can’t say. I sold it the next day. I mostly buy good enough cars. Take the cats. Re do exhaust and then sell both separately

I have a 99 f250 5.4 and I’m taking the catalytic converter off today. Excited to see how it sounds irl

@@motox4124 It should sound really good if it's a Super Duty, they've got 3" exhaust so it's louder than the F150/light duty F250 2.5" exhaust.
I don't know how it sounds with the 5.4, but I know a guy with a F250 SD with the V10 and the stock muffler but no cat, and it sounds real good, deep but not loud or drone. The V10 obviously makes more power but the 5.4 sounds better.
sound like shit put some flowmaster 50 series on da catalitic converter place sounds so good
