The bare wires that you refer to are most likely enamel insulated copper wire which can be used on intricate detail work like this, and in order to strip the enamel insulation you have to carefully scrape the end of the wire with a sharp knife to expose the copper.
Thank you for watching my video and comment Andy. I've watched other videos & I can't see others having wires like this. I've sent loco back anyway as had running issues of sound cutting out. Thanks for info, much appreciated. ATB Kevin 👨🔧🤝👍
Thanks for watching my video and comment. Hope when you get your loco it works OK. Now if I order any Accurascale loco it will be the dcc ready versions, not sound fitted. Can't keep putting up with problems from sound versions. ATB cheers Kevin 👨🔧🤝🚞👍
To be honest, i am not bothered with dcc sound. The only other sound fitted loco i have is the Hattons class 66. I find it to much hassle. I will probably sell the sound decoder.
It is a lot of hassle with sounds. & to be truthful theres too many different sounds really. Who uses buffer clank, door slam, spandix valve, compressor sounds. Not many I would think. Main ones are engine noise, flange squeal, brakes & the horns. So its a lot of money for not a lot of return really. I do like Hornbys TTS decoders, cheap & cheerful sounds. Just wish Hornby would bring these back on the market again. As every diesel one would sell well. ATB & happy modeling 👨🔧🔊👂
Thanks Ian for watching my video & comment. Yes it is a nice looking loco.... but watch my next 2 videos SOUNDS CUT OUT which really does annoy me. I'm lucky I tested this on my loop as I don't usually do that. So I was lucky for checking it. Cheers Ian, ATB Kevin 🙋♂️🤝👍
Hi, great video boxing and review, I got my model last week, I’ve been away so I will check mine when I get back, overall it looks amazing and sounds lovely, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching my video and comment. You need to watch my next 2 videos. The sounds keep cutting out. You will see what I mean. Not good mate. Cheers ATB Kevin 🙋♂️🤝👍
@@bluebellcentralmodelrailwa4064 Hi, I’m sorry to see you have had problems, I had a few issues with the nuclear flask wagons a few months back, I contacted Accurascale straight away, they sorted the issues out for me, I’m sure they will do the same for you mate, it is a pain when you have waited so long for this model and when it arrives it’s not what it should be, I will inspect mine fully and test it, any issues will be taken up with Accurascale straight away, I hope you get your model sorted as soon as possible mate.
@@StormmyStormmy Thanks for your words of encouragement. Hopefully It will get sorted one way or another. If you look at the pictures I put in the video about the bare wires coming from underside of board & up into cab area. These wires on my model are bare, no insulation as If you zoom in you can actually see the individual copper strands of the cable. That can't be right, Hopefully you will see what I mean. @@bluebellcentralmodelrailwa4064Hi, i saw them once the roof was removed, your review was the most in-depth one i have seen on this model, remember your dealing with Accurascale and not Hornby, there are workers in everywhere company whom don't do there jobs with care and commitment with the customer in mind, they don't care, i guess all the models weren't checked properly and the quality control structure has failed, i believe Accurascale will sort it out 100% as they did with me, things like these can knock your confidence with the issues you have, hang in there mate they will put it right.
Thanks for watching my video and comment Richard. I've no idea as I don't know anything to do with CV's. I've only been advised to change cv 63 down to a setting of 150 to lower the sound level. Thus hopefully to then allow my loco to not cut out sound after a few minutes running. I do know if you go to Accurascale's site you can download the decoder manual, so that might have some info. Failing that I would put out a YT video asking for help with your lights. Or you could ask Accurascale direct to support. I'm so sorry I'm not more help Richard. Hope you can get this sorted. I have seen some YT videos of people complaining about dim lights especially the red tail lights. Let me know if you get this sorted mate. ATB Kevin 🙋♂️🤝👍🚅💡👀
Hi Kevin I did ask accurascale concerning the light levels. They say the headlight is at maximum, but maybe the marker lights could be increased. I think the conclusion is its prototypical? Atb
@@richardpreston5540 I don't know sorry Richard. I've sent the loco back & asked for full refund. I'm so tired of getting locos off Accurascale that cost me £260 a go & them always having some kind of issues with them. That's it now, no more Accurascale Loco purchases from ME. I can't keep taking the risk of receiving a duffer. I will only purchase accessories & wagons. So hopefully they will all be OK. There are certain problems with some of their wagons, but most things can be easily sorted & fix by ourselves. But not really Locos, & why should you have to anyway. Cheers mate hope you can sort something out. ATB Kevin 👨🔧
Was hoping rails of Sheffield had it but failed me ohhh well I’m kinda relieved in a way as accurascale have a bad reputation with their models parts falling off………hopefully I’ll end up with one at some point lol
Thank you for watching my video and comment. They should have a spare 1 now as I've sent mine back, that's if they can repair the fault. I've just asked for full refund as I'm so tired of faulty locos off them everytime. Cheers ATB mate, Kevin 🙋♂️🤝👍

I did the same thing, I got 3 packs from Modellbahnshop-Lippe, great value for the money, the figures you can buy from Accurascale look very good, they are made in Bristol by ModelU, I guess you buy want you want.
Thanks for watching my video and comment. They are really hard to see. They don't seem to hang down like on the class 55's. My eyes aren't the best focusing in on tiny wee objects. Will have to get my magnifying 🔎 glass out. Cheers & thanks for the help. ATB mate, Kevin 🙋♂️🤝👍
