I am considering purchasing one. I have seen mixed reviews though. Even so, it seems to receive high marks. It's a very beautiful model. The price seems very reasonable to me. I live in Ohio, USA. I'm awaiting the arrival of Dapol Foxcote Manor, from the second batch of Dapol Manor models, due to be released this year. However, nothing beats the sharp bark and shrill whistle you get with the sound-fitted models, I will admit. Erlestoke Manor, preserved Severn Valley Railway resident in real life, is music to my ears. Because you made her whistle so much, the sound is still ringing in my ears. What is it about the Manor engines that makes me love them so much? Sharp bark and shrill Swindon whistle is the answer.
If I remember correctly back in the 60s close to the end of steam all locos carried those warnings about overhead live wires, even those that would never travel under them.
I always like the odd mechanical noise on models. Some people complain about squeaking wheels on carriages, wagons and some locomotives as well, but in reality you do occasionally have a piece of rolling stock running with squeaks from the bogies.
What an absolute stunner of a model. That is high end work overall in build. I have seen dozens and dozens of steamers in OO scale on UK channels, many beautiful- this may be the first which I would say, in terms of both looks and functions, is right up there with the top continental models (I am biased and think the Franco-Austro-German companies are ahead of the UK in quality/value for money). I know these are pricier than Hornby and Bachmann, but very much worth it, in my humble opinion. Brilliant review and loved this showcase. Accurascale are really starting to impress me.
They are very nice models I have Torquay Manor, only DC at the moment as I’m not bothered about sound I will chip it at some point though. I have noticed a couple of quality issues on mine with some glue marks and one of the tender steps fell off shortly after getting out of the box. All in all I’m pleased with the model, Accurascale certainly are showing the two big boys up with what you get for the money.

Stunning loco, I have 7802 Bradley Manor DC version and am delighted with it. I thought the Dapol Manor was a belter but this is even better! I highly recommend the Accurascale Manor loco crew figures which are a perfect fit and are probably the most realistic oo scale figures I've seen yet. Just FYI the shed code on 7812 is 89A which was Oswestry shed up until 1960 then Shrewsbury until 1963 😎
I have the sound version of cookham manor, its a stunner I haven't been able to run it yet as its been to hot in my loft. But hopefully I can try it out tomorrow. Nice video as always. 😊
Great review here Matt, it’s defiantly a nice model from accurascale and great to see them looking into steam locomotives now, some of the features on it are excellent even one of my favourite ones being the opening water filler cap on the tender which just begs for scenes with the dapol motorised water tower models if they are still being made and sold today, as I have said to some others people who have reviewed this model it’s definitely one I would consider if they are still available in the future or if a new batch is announced, even though I’m not dcc yet if I was getting a sound locomotive I would probably prefer it to be on a low volume, no matter how good a sound system it is if the sound is really loud I could see myself most likely reducing the volume or simply switching it off, good review overall here Matt.

I also like the little picture you had about the fire glow from locomotive 7812 tho I didn't hear much about the vibrate once the locomotive gets to use of the tracks at Jubilee Road it will be one of the best performers since you had other locomotive models from suppliers like Hornby etc.The sound functions were truly fantastic even all those different whistles which i give a 11 over 10 for its running quality.
Great review. I have the Anthony Manor. Good value for money considering what other manufacturers are charging. I too think the sound could be a little louder
I've got 7802 Bradley Manor with sound from Key Publishing but has to go back due to the stay-alive capacitor not charging and dodgy pickups causing running issues on track and especially on a DCC Concepts rolling road which is disappointing, also my one has dodgy cab handrails on both sides sitting about 1mm below the cab roof thus not positioned & glued in properly. I also got that grinding or vibrating noise on my one and wondered what that was and yes I also think the sound volume is low compared to all my diesel loco's even when CV63 is set to 192 and a bit on the quiet side unfortunately. Apart from that, I'm in love with the loco and this is actually my first ever steam loco and no I'm not into steam overall but took my first plunge. Obviously Accurascale will fix the issues but having already sent back a few Class 92's & 1 Class 37 back to them for repair thus I'm getting a bit tired of doing this and they really need to sort out their QC out at the factory or review it at least. Strangely in the last few years many locomotives associated with the SVR have been announced and I am sort of building up the fleet in miniature. 1501 is next and Dapol have Bradley Manor being brought out. Also i wonder if you can play the two tone whilst tune that many drivers like to do with GWR locomotives?

Did you get the measuring equipment out and check that front number plate is within tollerance of 0.1mm Very important. Big part of why you waited so long ;) Paint chip on the rear driver paint chips on the rear of the running plate bellown cab, hand rail doesnt join up to cab roof... All things we would absolutely pillory other manufacturers for. Especially given the excuses and delays
I have a Key Model World exclusive model of Bradley Manor 7802. I use a Hornby Elite running v1.44 software and I have a problem in that I cannot change the loco address from 3 to 7802. Has anyone else got this problem?

There is a Bradley Manor also coming out in the next Dapol Manor batch.

Mine makes the same creaking noise but I don't mind it. The real ones do it. And I agree on the quality, it's definitely top tier.

'Erlestoke Manor' currently runs on the SVR. Hence the warning signs.
It looks like a fantastic model for a Great Western or modern heritage layout.
