I’m so happy that I came across this recipe. I made them today and they came out excellent- soft and not too sweet- perfect with coffee! Thank you Mariola!
Hi I have been making them for 8 years now, they are so good,,
I love the idea of the pastry brush application for the frosting very neat and efficient, I make these cookies with the addition of Anise extract
Thank you for sharing! An old friend that my parents had use to make these for me as a child. I remember baking with her but I had forgot the recipe. She passed away a couple years ago. I will definitely try it out
I 'love these S cookies. Thanks for sharing. PS Love the grandkids' names. It's funny how in Italy they're choosing English names whereas in Canada/US they love the Italian names. Merry Christmas Mariola!
I just dropped by to see you,,I have been making them since you posted,,8 years ago,,❤❤

Episode 14--- "S" Cookies.... so good you just can't eat one!
Just used anise extract in the dough with anise seed ground up in a mortar and pestle. Almond and vanilla extract combined n in the icing. And just painted on the icing which was colored slightly to a pink shade. Completed 1/15/2020 at 8:30 p.m.
Wonderful cookie, can you show us more italian cookies, thank you.
Thank you! We are working on new episodes and will definitely add more Italian cookies to the mix!
Thanks. Try some vanilla with the lemon flavoring. It's like fiori di Sicilia. I put a half tsp lemon in the icing which is real hood too.
Good not hood. Silly me.
I was wondering what type of cookies you made for Christmas time? D'Angelo from The Bay

Hi Jenny! Thanks for watching. The total recipe calls for 4 cups of flour. I just add it in in two batches, so probably 2 cups at a time! Enjoy!
