I like the fact that you don’t see one on every corner you turn. Buick is a sweet spot of premium feel, unique design, and comfort. It’s a really good looking suv.
@@parkerhowell7560 not even close. Drive them both. It shares the same chassis and engine with the Caddy XT4 and most of the same materials. Chevy is made by the same manufacturer but they aren’t on the same level.
@@parkerhowell7560 yeah no shot. Rented a loaded blazer with leather and wife has a loaded envision. Blazer is not in the same league. No where near as refined.
I have a 21 Envision, I like it a lot. You don't see them everywhere, but it's very comfortable especially for long 2+ hour trips, and I like the look and features like wireless carplay that GM is gonna be killing off slowly.
I just bought a 2023 Envision. Went on a 3 hour trip about a week ago. Smooth responsive powerful comfortable are just a few descriptors I would use. In my opinion, this car doesn't look like I should be the owner. I'm retired but the look and styling seems like a very young person should be the driver. It's not a traditional type Buick, not a squishy riding LaSabre it's sporty. Mine has the sun roof. I like to think of as being a convertible. Time will tell how it holds up but it seems a lot better vehicle than my old Sonata. So yea, I guess old guys buy these because they look young and sporty. Mine has an off road mode... incredible!
Ben, they also may not sell too well because the Envision is triple China: Engine, Transmission and Final Assembly are all 100% China. Since Buick's Encore is from Korea, that only leaves the Enclave as Buick's only "American" model.
Buick is one of those brands that I am curious how they are still in business. It seems around every 500-1000 cars I see on The road, 1 of them is a Buick. I see more old Buicks than new. I also just realized, I haven't seen an advertisement from Buick in a hot minute 💀
@@christhornycroft3686 great reply. Agree! I feel like Buick is the sweet spot of comfort, luxury, and design. It was what the US used to be all about. Unfortunately, like todays music, cars companies are getting lost on targeting young demographics.
Thank you, good review. I've been looking at the 2023 Buick Envision Avenir for the pass week and finally decided to purchase one. The only regret I have is the missing Blind Spot Indicator due to the chip shortage. The Buick Envision kinda looks like my current vehicle on steroids which is a 2020 MB CLA250 with the AMG appearance package. I love my CLA but we have recently purchased some e-Bikes. and need a hitch bike carrier. Actually, we were out biking 2 weeks ago on a bike path that passed in front of a Buick car dealership were the Envision made me do a double-take look, literally. I was so impressed by its appearance that I took a few pictures to remember which model it was and to check it out online. Buick was never on my radar screen, I was thinking of purchasing a new MB GLA but the Buick Envision Avenir styling at it price point is an irresistible SUV.
The very first car I ever dreamed of owning was the Buick Rendezvous. So spacious, comfy smooth like butter to drive and I loved the interior and exterior design. I haven't been impressed by Buick since then but 16 years ago..
Now if they just sort of squished the proportions down, lowered the ride height, sloped the rear glass to meet a trunk instead of the hatch..... Sedan, it needs to be a sedan. Why Buick isn't making sedans but the Chevy Malibu still exists, I can't figure out.
Hey Ben I grew up on Buicks never told you before but huge car and truck lover this was first car learned now a huge Nissan and Buick fan. Miss the Buick sedans like the SUVS from Buick just give me a sedan again like Roadmaster or Lacrosse.
I’d wish they bring back the sedans. Buick is only selling the SUVs in the US. The updated Verano and Regal look really nice, its a shame they only sell it in Europe and Asia now.
it doesn't have all tacky outside front and rear end fake plastic flare and space age circus lighting that Kia's, Nissan's and Hyundai's have. Resembles the new Mazdas and is one step behind a Rover in looks.
Good review Ben.. The Envision is the sibling to the Chevrolet Blazer @ Cadillac XT4. Lot of consumers purchase those units. Buick has a marketing @ demographic priblem, definitely not a styling or quality problem. As to where it's produced ?? It's a Global market that all manufacturers take part in. Something we all have to live with in today's world.
Buick has made terrific cars the past 15-20 years. Exterior & interior quality is excellent. Problem is GM was never good at marketing their vehicles and the Envision is $3-$5,000 costlier then their competitors (you can thank the UAW and their fat contract for that).
I just don’t get why they have fake exhaust tips. I saw one the other day and they actually have dual exhaust behind the bumper and should’ve had them come out the back with tips.
I own a 2022, and it is a terrible experience. Envision is made in China, and I think they cut corners as much as possible. I have been at the dealer with issues several times. Technology on this vehicle is a big issue already, and it concerns me because my car is loaded with basically every option. Many more issues possible with all the different tech. Also, this fit an finish is inferior when you start driving daily, and this is not apparent during purchase. I had a 2011 Lacrosse I drove for years and just loved. This vehicle is the total opposite, and will be my final GM purchase. I will not consider them again.
Most people don’t buy a Buick anymore, they are a brand that most people lease the vehicle for 3-5 years and get rid of it as soon as the lease expires. If I was in charge of GM, I would kill of Buick and Keep Pontiac and fix the brand’s reputation.
Buick was a premium brand in the middle between chevy n caddy but the way they do the new ones idk number 1 they got a 4 banger in a vehicle sane size as a blazer n xt5 wich should have the option for the 3.6 2nd they took all the good cars away I still have a Buick regal turbo and my 2.0 has 268 hp wich the new 2.0 they detunted it Buick is only still alive because of the Chinese Market wich all are designed for not American people so people look past them
The 3.6 has comparable power and less torque than the 2.0T. There is in fact a replacement for displacement. Your Buick Regal (Opel Insignia) was also designed by the Germans for the European market. Car not designed for Americans was good enough for you apparently.
My only beefs with Buick are their lack of sedans (but that’s all car brands now - idiots) and their stupid 3 cylinder engines. A luxury car should be a 4 banger hybrid or a V6. But they’re basically the last car brand that prioritizes luxury and comfort over 16 year old NASCAR fantasies. As a guy with a bad back and chronic pain, I appreciate that they didn’t completely sell out to the teenagers.
Ben the car is made in China Buick should just sell th e name to China since the only car left made in the UaaS is th e zEnclave. South Korea for the Encore and Envista.
This is not a family or younger person’s SUV. It’s a good choice for the older single (like me) or empty nester who doesn’t need all the hauling space and wants a touch of fancy with the Avenir version.
I thought Buick was taken out back and shot in the head years ago. I remember when I was a kid everyone I knew grandparents had one of them. They were generally bigger than school buses and even uglier.
I like the fact that you don’t see one on every corner you turn. Buick is a sweet spot of premium feel, unique design, and comfort. It’s a really good looking suv.
I wouldn’t say premium, the blazer is the same price….. just a chevy with leather.

Nothing really is American made, just some are American assembled…

Apparently they sell really well over in China, for some reason.
Because they’re the last car brand that actually prioritizes comfort and convenience over 16 year old fantasies of being a nascar driver.

They do most of their business in China.
Love the title. Who buys this?!
Your grandma
Me 😂

They do. Buick regal tourx. Wagon
I’d wish they bring back the sedans. Buick is only selling the SUVs in the US. The updated Verano and Regal look really nice, its a shame they only sell it in Europe and Asia now.
My everyday Buick SUV! Good review Ben.
These are really beautiful cars, definitely underestimated 😍
GM should have dumped Buick and emphasized Pontiac brand. Never would I contemplate buying a Buick.
My Super-bright, PhD, stubborn, mom… That’s who… 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Needs to at least have a sunroof as standard if there gonna be considered “premium”
it doesn't have all tacky outside front and rear end fake plastic flare and space age circus lighting that Kia's, Nissan's and Hyundai's have. Resembles the new Mazdas and is one step behind a Rover in looks.
Great camera. Better than other car brands.
Left and right grill parking sensors look like a good spot to install some fog lights

The Envision is made in China.
I saw Black on Black Envision. Very nice.
I never knew this things exist...thanks ben for showing me..why no other youtuber do this car review..weird
How many times do you say "anyways"?
I just don’t get why they have fake exhaust tips. I saw one the other day and they actually have dual exhaust behind the bumper and should’ve had them come out the back with tips.
I'm not entirely sure what the identity of this car is.

Best SUV from China
looks like a 4 door sedan ? crossover ? compact I guess
Avenir is nicer but I do actually like these --- i was surprised
You speak so fast, some words a just unintelligible.

Reminds me VW engines
Lol
Have fun spending g 48k without lumbar support.
Average age of a Buick driver is 59: source, motormouth. Also vehicle is heavily Chinese.
The world is heavily Chinese bro.

good car
Do vented seats for $45,000🤫🤔Hyundai and Kia just have a better value

Made in China? No way would I touch it
I thought Buick was taken out back and shot in the head years ago. I remember when I was a kid everyone I knew grandparents had one of them. They were generally bigger than school buses and even uglier.
Nice looking but it’s a GM so it’s a piece of garbage
I have the 2021. Fire car. The turbo sounds nice too. PSSSTTTT
