He and his coaches need to write a book about their training program. Even if I couldn’t do any of it, it would be interesting to know how someone achieves this kind of fitness. Also I love his time trial position. He looks like an animal in the zone. Like a swimming fish or something. He’s churning so hard and it’s still liquid smooth. That must also be the result of practice. I would love to know how they do it.
There's been quite some insight into UAE's training aprroach (80/20 distribution, 3 Zone model, working with torque etc...) but it most certainly comes down to genetics and performance enhancement measures that are undetected so far. But I agree, a run down of his training, nutrition and overall attitude towards the sport would be more than interesting to read.
I'm glad that so many people are realizing the farce, here. I love cycling & Pogacar is amazing to watch. But, they are beating records from the EPO era. The bikes are nice. Training methods ever improving. But, those records aren't believable. These performances aren't believable. But, we all still love to watch, & imagine what it must be like. Can't wait for the tour!
I'm 100% with you on this. If anyone thinks today's top riders aren't juiced they have their heads in the sand. Nothing EVER changed in terms of doping in cycling... Lance's outing just forced everyone to get smarter about how to conceal things...and the UCI has proven untrustworthy under the LA era to hide positives you know... 'for the good of the sport.' yeah okay. I love cycling and I love watching pro racing, but i do so from a view that everyone is dirty until proven clean and no, a clean testing record does NOTHING to prove innocence, since LA technically never tested positive and he was likely the most tested athlete ever. But when performances are quoted as being 'unbelievable' it's because they are just that... NOT believable without pharmacological enhancement. Clearly TJV and TUAE have their pharma dialed in on athletes who benefit from the dope the best.

😂😂😂. This is a display of who has acess to more financially and training wise, rather than who is the actual best 🤣. Pogacar has 5 top tier maxed out Bicycles, ready at his disposal, plus a team car. Taken into account that not all of whom he races, does have time for cycling all year around, due to having regular job and income. Pogacar has "unlimited funds" whereas many of his competitors doesent even have a spare bike to drive through the course on. When people are going crazy over how hard he beat everyone on that TT. yes I'm not certain on wind conditions etc but certainly impressive
Did he change bikes back then, too? Easy to lose that much in the first section with a heavy TT bike
It was raining in 2020 edition, so that also could be a factor.
Everyone was quicker today than 2020 due to weather. Btw hopefully he ll be ok for the tdf... I want him to win so bad!
so he's ready for the tour right? despite the fracture on his hand
And those guys he's passing aren't slow. Incredible! Great seeing a super talent like this in action :)
He overtook competitors like pros pass by amateurs on tri races.
Since all his competitors were KTs instead of World Tour Pros this is kinda exactly what happend
