I’ve had the same outlook on this company which caused me to stop collecting this line however these Arkham figures brought me back in because of my love of the games. The best part of this figure is the cape every other company never put enough bendy wires in it for me.
@cookedit Thanks! I knew that I saw him with another face, but when mine came from Amiami it had only one. Ridiculous to have only one face for the price IMO
@@craxyman9025I know. Not even a fully modeled head. A face (actually only a mouth) plate only being part of a limited edition and to charge more for it, is not cool.
What I don't like about the recent Amazing Yamaguchi releases are that they have a bonus part that's exclusive to their own Japan only store. As a completist in terms of having the most complete version of an action figure, this really grinds my gears and I usually have to spend extra.
@@dHuntersReviews Yeah, for this Batman it's an angry face plate. And for their upcoming Batman Beyond, the exclusive is red "Arm Blades" attached to karate-chop hands.
@dHuntersReviews the arm placement, face sculpt and height made it disappointing for me. I did appreciate the cape and the handheld accessory but that was about it. Also for the price having a known issue with breakage is a problem.
I'm still debating of getting him, as a toy painter and someone who owns several brands, I can tell you that there are NO accurate Arkham Knight figures out there with the exception of the 1/4 NECA which comes close. This one also has the totally wrong details such as the wrong cape, lack of pattern on the shoulder abs, emblem and chest, wrong belt pouch colors, wrong pants stripe, etc but the articulation seems terrific!
I think, we cannot simply say 6inch or 7inch, instead 1/12 scale or 1/10 scale, because characters have different height. Batman comic's height is 6 feet 2 inch which is 1.88m, so Mcfarlane should always make Batman comic around 18.8cm. That way, we will get accurate representation of the character's height or scale, which Mcfarlane lacks. That being said, I love how customizable Mcf figures are.
@dHuntersReviews yes the faceplate is removable, the special edition came with an angry faceplate but all of them pop right off regardless of which version you have.
Oof not a good start to the review. Those early promo shots looked good but once I saw the figure in people's hand, I'm glad I didn't preorder it. He's a bit small for my liking and I'd like to avoid common QC issues when it comes to expensive figures. I saw that another company is making a 1/12 Batman Arkham Origins and that thing looks way more promising.

Cape is amazing
I can't wait to get the Arkham Knight Red Hood 1.5 because I missed it when it came out.
I feel there is yet to be a definitive Arkham Knight Figure.
Dc direct and McFarlane are closest
There is a new one from a company called LPZZ and he looks great
A half an inch taller would have done a lot for him. I wish he came with an extra face plate too.
The sad thing is, it does come with an extra face plate, if you pay extra for the bonus edition. Silly idea by Kaiyodo.

Hobby genki sold the special edition faceplate version which is where I got mine for the same price as the regular edition.

This one was not trying to be accurate. It’s trying to do its own thing loosely based off of the Arkham knight

6 inch scale is 1/12

There’s a lot of wiggle room
It's a lot easier to adjust the eyes by removing just the face plate.
Why would the face plate remove
