the weather system is absolutely nuts, and the overall technology that goes into this is just insane at this point, culmination of all the previous games tech and even more, just endlessly impressive
The question is? How did they managed to implement all that in PS4 version?! PS4 Jaguar CPU is not that great and I can only imagine what can be achieved with a PS5 exclusive GT game 🤯

@@claudiovic88 The weather system was already present in GT Sport on PS4. This looks to be the same system, just with more particles and being capable of affecting only parts or all of a circuit.
This game looks mind-blowingly impressive and I can't wait to play this masterpiece! Been a Gran Tourismo fan since Playstation 1!..
but the weather effects still look like PS3 era. Driveclub is still the king in that department all these years later
@@deedeemerry1295 I gotta admit In the years since Forza Motorsport and Horizon have become my favorite racing games. Besides Mario Kart of course. And can't wait for Chocobo GT. But I still have mad respect for the OG Turismo series from '97 on the always classy Playstation from 1-5. Especially coming from the genius Kazunori Yamauchi!..

It's not just the features that have me excited for this game, it's also the passion for cars that is evident throughout the series and emphasized here in GT7
And just all the ways to show it off from replays, to photos, etc. The museums with the history to learn. Just absolute love.

That would be nice. Too bad it's not, and also too bad about the scummy microtransactions.
I haven’t seen many mention this, but the menus scream with soul that makes playstation so distinct. The sounds and layout feel like it’s an extension of the PS5’s clean menus directly in the game. That’s one thing I’ve always liked about the Gran Turismo games. Literally everything about this game is oozing with quality. This game will last me for ages.

@@Rocksteady72a they’ll probably have some sort of micro transaction system, but hopefully it’s like in GTS where you could buy any car for like 2 pounds if you really wanted it.

I dont think this feature is important for gameplay. If it will be realistic- dont expect it changing during normal race becasue they dont last that long. In oder for it to have impact on game it have to be much quicker than in real life - something like DriveClub had. It doesnt feel real to have weather changing dramatic so quickly but it affect the gameplay.
I agree with the project cars bit..
it even had fog rain and snow. I think the developers are going for smooth 4k/60 that compromised the weather detail

The last GT I really put a lot of time into was 4, and that came out when I was a teen (I can still remember the frustrations of failing the license tests and getting hit with the “Oh yeaaaah. OH YEAAAAH!” every time I would fail). Seriously can’t wait for this one when it comes out next month!

Not to mention you can also hear Yello's Oh Yeah while racing. So much so, I ended up buying the song on iTunes and listened it all the way to GT Sport.
Hearing "Oh Yeah" by Yello was enough to almost always cheer me up after failing the same test for the 5th time in a row. Almost.

The fact that he goes into detail about how clouds are formed and how it depends on the region on top of simulating it tells me how much heart and soul was put into this game. Say what you want about racing games but this game looks more complete than most AAA games right now.

yet they can't for the life of them get the cockpit right and make it feel as brutal as it is in real life. pushing a car to its limit is violent and gritty, and GT has always been a snooze fest. maybe they should concentrate less on clouds and more on delivering the actual feeling of driving a car quickly.

THIS is what I expected out of a next gen racing game. It’s LITERALLY an entire experience, from the menu screen to purchasing a vehicle. It’s all STUNNING and classy!!!
Very classy…kinda like the brand new fresh car smell…that’s the feeling of what the ui of the game gives me 😂
There is a particular vibe that GT games give out, you can’t quite put your finger on it. No other game can replicate it. No other game will replicate it. It’s just Gran Turismo.
PS: Absolutely the complete experience! The mix of an extensive single player like from GT4, mixed with a perfectly cultivated non-competitive and competitive online structure, with the bonuses of incredible new physics and weather, car customisation and lots of extra stuff (like the music rally).

Gran Turismo graphics always amaze me since 1998
Every other game (of any genre and kind): "Just take a picture of the sky both day and night and slap it into the game and call it a day."
Polyphony Digital: "We are not making an Universe related game but we are going to put an absurdly amount of effort into creating the most realistic skies you've never seen."
I must say, when I get a job again I will save enough money to buy a PS5 mainly for this game. As people have said in the comments, the amount of effort and dedication put into this car racing game is simply nuts. If I can't get over of how much this game can offer by just watching this video, I can't imagine how the experience will be once I get to play it.
This was put together so well it felt like an E3 showcase. Well done 👏

I’ve been on Forza since the original Xbox, but I gotta tip my hat off to the legend. I don’t have a PS5 and my Fanatec wheel base doesn’t support PlayStation, but I hope to one day to get there and play this game, or for GT to come to PC.

My question is with rain on the track and natural drying on the race line, are there pitstops where you can gamble with switching to a dry tire for better laptimes, but you gamble with hitting a wet spot and crashing? Like a risk reward system for a brave racer.

I love how they implement history around each car. That dedications within this game. It reminds so much relatistic of buy games. I cant wait play this game and learn more. the game looks beautiful as well. The UI looks so easy to understand as well. AWESOME JOB 😊 👍
I am so dang excited for this. I have played every main entry in the series. This game has gotten me through some tough times over the years man. Helps me relax, forget about the bad stuff, chill out and focus on something difficult.
I love the attention to detail. Even as a non-fan like myself, I can truly appreciate and feel the love for car culture here. It's amazing.

Yes I will be ready to buy the game early march. These grapics just look so wonderful and beutiful, that it would just feel great driving in this realistic game. In empty bank whitness you got not much any feeling driving there, when your driving in nowhere like, but when you drive close to nature with realistic grapics it just feels so wondeeful driving there.

I got my PS5 two months ago and it’s crazy how crisp and more realistic some ps5 game graphics are now. If the company takes time and really puts love into a game it can be amazing.

@BigBoss also higher graphics settings, which includes the weather effects, dualsense controller, 3D Audio support, etc
@BigBoss nope its ps3 graphics just higher res on each console, this shows how bad it looks on ps5 and it will look the same on ps4 pretty much since the graphics are from 2015

As an automotive enthusiast I can really appreciate the museum feature. I will probably spend hours looking through it learning new stuff!
The GT series always had those short history bits on each of the cars, but in GT7 it really seems like they went all in with the whole museum feature. I suppose it's a thing that few of us realized we wanted, but I'm expecting many will love it! I know for sure I'll be spending way too much time just in the museum!

Man, Kaz is an absolute automotive genius and Polyphony has given us a game that is a perfect balance of everything. The original Gran Turismo widened my eyes as a kid when you would go through SS route 5 sliding through the tunnel and you hear the tire squeal. I love GT 🤗🥺

They already did in GTSport.

@@MsSirAndy- Tyres yes I think you can bank on that they said they were working with Michelin tyre specifically but didn’t get into any specific details.
The FFB stuff they talked about were with the new dual sense controller- the changes seemed pretty substantial, but they didn’t specifically say how this would translate to people with racing wheels. I imagine some of the FFB stuff would translate though. The example they gave was you could now “feel” when your tires were locking under braking.

I personally like forza horizon open ended progression.. Every racing game to date has had progression it's not a new concept.
The focus with horizon is on the cars itself and if you're idea is "i have a super car" nothing else to do.. The idea is to test and tune different cars till you find those perfect cars.
Man this is crazy... I don't play racing games but I'm super impressed, the passion is felt throughout.
If you don’t play racing games, I must advise you make this the only racing game you play. There will be no regret I guarantee

@@frankvandermerwe1487 In terms of actually having a game that shows the potential of this gen. Most games we've gotten or are coming out soon like Forbidden West have been or are cross-gen so it's nice to see something that's really starting to use the power under the hood.

Dude every State of Play should be like this, in and out from one game 30 minutes long min. This was wayyy better than previous State of Play streams.

I'm not usually a racing sim fan but this looks pretty cool honestly. The attention to detail on and off the track is delightful.
i mean really to do the game justice you should buy a cockpit setup - steering wheels, seat and pedals as a minimum

I've been with the GT series for almost twenty years now. I genuinely can't remember a previous time where I was this excited for a new instalment. The abundance of passion for car culture and racing in the development of this is nothing short of impressive ;-;
Gran Turismo 6 was completely forgettable as it was a Ps3 title for the already widely-adopted Ps4. And Gran Turismo 5, while excellent, was not quite as impactful as Gran Turismo 4. I agree with you that this has the opportunity to be a memorable entry! If it runs rock-solid 60fps on my Ps4 Pro, this should be an instant buy for me :)
@@FreshTillDeath56 I do hope it will have a performance mode for the PS4 pro and for the PS5 (maybe the ps5 dont need it and can keep the frame rate at 60) so we can be competitive online and with gamer friends (couch play).
I'm pretty new in the GT community, playing the game on occasion for two years, so calling myself a fan is a bold claim for me to make. Even if I'm just a simple GT player, I'm still hyped up like crazy for this game! This game is high on my PS5 wish list for sure!

It's basically an arcade mode like in Outrun, Virtual Racing etc. Not anything new but definitely new to Gran Turismo!
If you upgrade from the PS4 to the PS5 version of the game, will the data from the PS4 version be transferred to the PS5? Or you’ll gonna have to start from scratch?
