Sylvie remembers because she wasn't reset - when the Loom blew up, she just used her TemPad to bail (just like she did toward the end of this ep)
I dont think she just "bailed", she just got thrown back in her timeline like everyone else and just accepted it. At least thats my theory
@@opromlie2272McDonald's in the 80's isn't her timeline, she wasn’t even on earth in her OG timeline. Just like Loki her timeline doesn't exist anymore, she should've ended be inside TVA with him before it got destroyed. If she wasn’t there that means that she saw them disseapered and Bailed

@@sgcastle8389 That was my thinking on it too. If it reset her, it would have reset her back to Asgard. She saw the loom's energy heading their way and at the last second, she did the "selfish Loki" thing of escaping.
Or because she's Asgardian. Or because she's a Loki. Or because they're not TVA agents. Lots of possible reasons.
I don't think Loki had visited the jet ski store earlier, I think Donbius was BSing to try and get a sale.
It was 100% salesman BS. I used to be a salesman, and I learned how to say my pitch in Spanish just to get more sales, and it worked.

Loki has just transitioned from the God of Mischief to the God of Stories. Basically he becomes a being like The Watcher from What If?, but he can manipulate it where The Watcher can’t.
remember they pruned loki and sylvie’s timelines after arresting them. they don’t have timelines to go back to anymore
Season 2 is my favorite Disney/MCU show. Think early in episode 5 when we saw Loki arriving timeslipping and apparently leaving rather quickly. We did not see everything. Think he was at the Jet ski store a few days earlier as "Don"said. Believe he timeslipped to O.B. without the book and we were not shown that sequence. Also think that is why he knew Renslayer wanted control of the TVA and was still in the TVA. Now that he hascontrol of his powers Ithink he will be able to savethesacred timeline and TVA.

Kevin Feige recently said this last episode was 5 years in the making and so was The Marvels. So I think it has to be a Multiverse related ending, possibly involving the Kang from Quantum Mania 🤷?!. POSSIBLE QM SPOILER: Maybe he comes back after he was sucked into his time travel power source with "Time Slipping" Abilities?!

Loki didn't go back to his timeline, because he was ripped from all of time and space in Episode 1 when he got pulled out of the timestream by Mobius. Even if his branch still existed, he wouldn't have been thrown back by the fail safe system.
And Sylvie returned to her branch because of HWR's TemPad. That thing must've some serious protections built in. That's why her memories weren't erased.
At least that's how I think it works.
💿 This season is crazy. They turned Loki into the God of stories. Was all of this planned? Taking Sylvie from her timeline, Obi writing the TVA Handbook, the loom exploding, Loki finding them on their different timelines?
This episode was terrific! Loki's time time-slipping in the opening scene for a fantastic visual effect. The scene where he runs into his old self is touching and funny. Seeing how much he's changed and grown throughout the series is impressive. I thought "Science / Fiction" was an excellent episode for Loki. It had great writing and acting, plus some fantastic visuals. I'm excited to see what's next! In a post-credit scene, Zaniac screams, "You died! Insert a coin, loser!". It references the arcade game where you must keep inserting coins to keep playing after your avatar dies. The arcade machine is the same one Loki and Sylvia saw in the episode, and the post-credit location has an incredible visual for Tony Stark. Tony's face is reflected on the screen as the camera pans in.
The primary visual link between the TVA and the MCU in this episode is the presence of A. D. Doug in his timeline. He could also explore possibilities and create alternate timelines with his time-traveling powers. How Loki uses his ability to travel back in time to the future fascinates me. It may be one of his most important and most versatile skills. How the MCU writers and directors use this new storytelling ability will be interesting.
The coming and going of the words “Loki” on the title card symbolizes how Loki’s timeline gets messed up throughout the entire episode. The title card shows the letters “Loki.” The addition of Alcatraz to Loki Season 2 was fun and unexpected. It added to the show’s depth.
In the episode, Casey’s version of Frank shows him as a prisoner at Alcatraz trying to escape. It’s a great way to connect all the MCU characters and stories.
In addition, it plays into the theme of second chances. Frank’s line, “If we get caught, we’ll be gassed like fish!” is a great callback to how Loki interacted with Casey in the first episode. It shows how much Loki’s character has grown.
"Spaghettification" is a visual effect that was used in both Loki Season 2 and Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to show how timelines and characters are wiped from existence. It's a powerful way to show how destructive and irrevocable these events are, how fragile the multiverse is, and the effects it can have on the balance of time. The scene where Loki tries to stop his time slip in Episode 5 is a smart callback to his first meeting with Ravonna in Episode 1. Both locations show how Loki's powers are getting weaker in the TVA jurisdiction, where his powers also don't work.

📀💿I actually agree with both of your thoughts on seasons 1 vs 2. I thought season one was good. I liked it just fine. However, I’m really enjoying this season much more. Also, I never thought about it, but I agree with Ishara, season one coulda/shoulda been a movie.

Marvel is actually following comic book canon with Loki - they're turning him into the god of Stories.
Also the time slipping is kind of like Doctor who, it is taking Loki where he needs to be. So it's not random
Loki is really OP now! I read somewhere that he could be the most powerful being in the marvel multiverse right now, right under "The One Above All" because he is "The God of Stories" now (presumably) he can rewrite the story 🤯

As soon as I saw the year 1962 and the prison cell, I knew Casey was going to be Frank Morris ...he was one of 3 guys who apparently escaped from Alcatraz and were never seen again....this kinda explains why he was / has never been found ...but also, I was born 3 years later and given that same name..! There is a film Escape From Alcatraz which had Clint Eastwood as the Frank Morris character..!
But my main question is...will Casey ever get his copy of the TVA Handbook signed before the end of the season...? He's been blocked twice already...!

I'm sure Mobius is not his "real" name because at the TVA, his name is Mobius M. Mobius. I'm pretty sure the M. stands for Mobius. In real life, spaghettification is predicted to occur near black holes because the closer you get to one, the faster you travel towards it, even at the speed of light. I was also thinking that if He-Who-Remains's citadel is at the end of time, the TVA might be at the beginning of time. On that note, if time has been turned into a circle so that it repeats, the actual "time" of the beginning of the TVA might have been pruned to exclude it from cycle of time. That's how He-Who-Remains knows what's going to happen after eons of repeats. He has probably practiced his absence to see how to set things up for when he actually dies. Now that's playing out since he's dead.
📀 This is the closest I could get to a record. I have an idea of where they're taking Loki's character and I'm hoping that it happens.

A sombre episode that is heading to be an intense consultation to season 2. If I had a theory on the ending, it would. Loki is in charge of the TVA, and that would help in whatever direction they MCU is going when they work it out.

Look, I love you ladies and watching your reactions, but I just have to take a stand here and say your reactions to Loki are just the absolute best.
I think maybe the timelines spaghettifying might be part of the TVA's failsafe mode rather than an intrinsic property of the multiverse. First it sends everyone back to their origin branches, then it dissolves the TVA, then it uses those branches to reconstitute the TVA. That said, we may not get a chance to have this explained since Loki is going back to stop that from happening. Maybe he'll turn Miss Minutes back on and tell her to shut everything down?
