UPDATE: my flat dot isn’t working anymore. It scratched off pretty easily due to the material used to make it. My card still works, but people have been having issues with creating their profile on the site apparently. Read the comments below⬇️. Not tryna have y’all waste your money so be wise.

Well there are going to be hiccups along the way. I doubt they made the conscious decision to sabotage their own company by using planned obsolescence, but if they did they'll go under regardless. I have had my dot. card for two days and their website/app sucks, but they need money to make improvements so let's support them because this shit is so dope!

These cards use NFC to transmit data, and cannot be made of metal. Metal blocks the radio signal from the chip in the card.
The only metal cards with tap are hybrid metal and plastic.

It's not LinkedIn, moreso for if you meet people in person then you can quickly give them your socials. You could contact their support or order a new one.

So do I need the card or the little dot
To be honest, the dot I got was paper, so the color scratched off easy, it still works but it’s convenient cause you take your phone everywhere. For the card it’s less convenient cause you’d have to pull it out and tap, however, it doesn’t scratch up like the dot. I’d recommend the dot with the bubble.

There’s already two companies that make metal smart business cards. One is called social master and it’s like 50 bucks and the other is called mobilo and theirs is like 200 something a year lol

Stay away from the do t business card or classic Dot. They don't work at least the NFC part doesn't work and customer service is non-existent they do not contact you back save your money
