Chase ended their banking relationship with me permanently because of a charge off that happened 7 years ago and closed my checking account. BUT, they have no problem letting me apply for the Chase Sapphire Preferred which is one of the harder card to get.

Feel like getting dumped, from a Girlfriend. One of the worst feelings, in the world.
I’m having the same issue. Restricted with no notice while I was out of the country on vacation in Puerto Vallarta and was lucky enough to have enough cash on me to pay the hotel bill, etc. but this could have been so much worse. Then they kept my money and wouldn’t give it to me when I went into the bank. I finally got my money via regular mail after calling repeatedly and going into the branch, but they kept all my funds for 17 days. While I couldn’t buy groceries or get my prescription medication filled and my autopay bills for utilities and other bills bounced. Chase restricted my account with no notice, no reason they will give me and caused me the most stressful event of my life. When you keep someone’s money and don’t give it to them, that’s called stealing, theft. Now chase may think they borrowed my money for these 17 days while I had no money for groceries and they bounced my autopay bills, but I did not consent to them borrowing and not releasing my money, so it’s theft. They keep quoting their disclosure that says on page 21 they can close my account for any reason (and apparently for no reason in my case). But their disclosure and no law says they have the right to hold my money for 17 days. I have never had anything this traumatic ever happen to me in my whole life. Chase bank, they are scum of the earth. This ain’t over, not by a long shot

I deposited a check thru quick deposit online mobile banking and it said money won't be available until 12/28/21 so I contacted bank and said please cancel process of deposit they said they can't, I told them if u don't have the money available release my check THIS TRANSACTION IS REAL SHADY AND SOUNDS ILLEGAL

One of Chase Bank's "red flags" in terms of "suspicious activities" is cash-equivalent credit cards. These are pre-paid gift cards offered by credit card companies, such as Visa gift cards. See, the thing with these cash-equivalent credit cards is that they can be used literally ANYWHERE, instead of being usable in specific stores or specific digital storefronts only (i.e., Best Buy gift cards, Target gift cards, and Steam gift cards). Chase probably sees these cash-equivalent credit cards as a clever way to commit Money Laundering.
I'm unemploynment but i still pay Chase credit on time. I do not know why they closed my account.

I went through the same thing I open an account on 4/2/21 on 4/5/21 they closed my account out thousands of other went through same thing.. I just went to UA-cam to see if anyone else did and to my surprise hundreds people went through the same.
For real, I made a part two speaking more into depth about what really happened and everything made more sense. Really unfortunate for all of us man.

Yup! Instead of saving my money, I keep it invested so I don’t have to worry about my money’s security and inflation/depreciation.
Invest a good portion of your money into Bitcoin/cryptocurrency. You become your own bank and have complete control over your money

Tips on how to deal with your US financial institution that has "blocked":
a. Your access to your deposit accounts.
b. The funds in those deposit accounts.
Most important of all these tips (more details on these in the discussion below):
A. Submit an application to The US Treasury Department OFAC office (via their website) requesting "release of blocked funds".
B. Submit a tip to the US FBI (via their website) letting them know that you believe that the bank is simply just defrauding you out of your money by wrongfully and unjustifiably blocking / withholding your account funds.
The sooner you do the above 2 steps, the better it is. This is because each of these places take a lot of time to process. E.g. The OFAC office took about 7 weeks to respond to me in the form of an official letter/notice.
Best of luck good stuff not sulking in the losses and coming up with a good gameplan

The 2nd Time I call them, CS needs me to follow their instructions:1. Scanning the devices that I used to login
2. Rename my login user name.
Next day, I called them for unlocking my Account, Cs just did what I requested without any questions.
That is so weird, sound like they don’t have unity protocol to sort out issues like that.
All U have to do is keeping call to different staffs, someone might raises you another problem or someone might do the right things to you.
Just keep calling different times until you get the right one

There you go bud, its most likely zelle yourself. Ive had chase for many years, never had a problem. Ive always had unemployment through boa card, again never had a problem.
Give more detail like are they ending your relationship to just checking/ saving and credit? There are different products in Chase like if they end relationship with just Checking/Saving then you should be able to still use there Credit product.
This happened in june 2021 they closed my account chase bank can not tell me why

Yeah, I found out why after going to the bank and speaking with a teller. Kind of confusing on why they couldn’t just tell me on the phone when they ended up telling me anyways at the bank.

Chase is discouraged by the FBI from telling you the exact reason why they banned your account. The FBI's reasoning is that, if Chase were to reveal to you why your banking activities were "suspicious", that this would make you a flight risk. You see, if you were to catch wind that you are suspected of committing some sort of illegal activity, then you might flee to a foreign country that has no extradition treaty with the USA. For your information, fleeing to another country in order to avoid being arrested is in and of itself a crime! That crime's title is "Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution". The FBI doesn't want Chase and other banks to make you a flight risk, in case the FBI actually needs to charge you with a crime such as Money Laundering.
I ended up buying too many Razer gold gift cards at once from g2a and chase accused me of fraud and now when I try to buy again from any other website it says transaction failed and refunds my money back I even got all my emails banned from g2a can anyone know what’s wrong or fix plz help

Yeah I had the same issue because I Zelle’d myself and then they said they couldn’t verify me or my address so I had to go into the branch and get everything fixed…. Try to go into the branch and see if they can do something

I HATE chase. this recently just happened to me too all I did was deposit checks and it wasnt fraud at all and they wont tell me why they locked and closed my account im switching banks. Chase is so overly sensitive even if you buy something or deposit they think its some fraud shit and theres nothing they can help they suck.

For me they said they’d send a check with the money in my accounts. But if they didn’t at all maybe they things you’re suspected of potential fraud, so they’re holding onto the money.
@@mohavi they where supposed to send two checks I got one which was about 430 but the other one was not sent it was 1900 so we called them they said they sent it back to unyployment so I'm going to possibly get a layer and set this out in court.
Same thing happened to me, they reimbursed it to PUA, then a week later I got an email saying I got a ReliaCard shipped to my house. Then another week later my funds were loaded up on that card. Transferred it to my bank👍🏼.

The bank has to tell you why you are locked out. They have to give you details.
They don't have to tell you anything.
