When you scan the QR Code it comes up with directions on how to set up the card which includes scanning the QR Code. It just loops back-and-forth and doesn't actually let you connect the card to your profile.
There wasn't a resolution. After exchanging over 15 emails with the company all they kept telling me to do was scan the card even when I sent them screenshots on what was coming up they literally just told me the same thing to scan the card again. There's absolutely no customer service number because the company is so small and janky
It’s a good idea but it doesn’t allow your “profile” to be directly imported into someone’s “contacts”. They can only save your dot profile to their phone as a “file”. Then they have to know where to go find that file and manually transfer all of your info into their contacts themselves. Good luck with anyone over the age of 40 taking the time to figure all of that out.
I agree that the current contact import process can be challenging, especially for those unfamiliar with it. I often guide people through the steps and suggest typing my name and a business nickname for easier search. Compatibility with different Android devices can also be an issue. If anyone has come across a simpler and more efficient way to store contact information on another person's phone, I would greatly appreciate your insights and suggestions.

I bought my first two dot cards a few months ago and set everything up. Wow what a breeze it was to setup! I love how simple it is to setup and share all my info to my customers. I cant wait to get my order in for my dot thin tags!

In Android, you can usually pull down the notification bar and NFC is usually there. If not, after you pull down the notification bar, expand it by pulling down one nore time, and the NFC should be in one of the pages of toggle icons (usually the furst by default).
Just got my bundle. The card works great. Can tap and scan QR. The Thin DOT does not. It gives an Empty Tag message on any phone it taps. Once it simply copied the link to the clipboard and you can't copy paste. Another phone got a series of spam messages. Not cool. Luckily, T-Mobile alert shut that whole thing down. From the video, it says the first DOT device activated cannot be removed. Does this mean I am stuck with the Thin that does not work? Love the concept. Wish all the kinks were worked out first. Will absolutely use the card. If all goes well at my convention (a lot of networking) I will try the classic DOT.

It does work with Android. I have the dot card and the dot classic. You press the middle of the card to the camera on the person's phone but make sure they have their screen on so it works. For the classic, tell the person to turn on their NFC setting first, then tap the dot classic to their camera while their screen is on. Works like a charm!
So I got the card and it works for me because I started an account but when tapping into other phones they can’t see my info unless they start an account themselves. I thought the idea was to connect to a link with my info much like linkTree. If this is the case this is a fail to me. If they can’t make it so people can see your info without starting an account this is a definite fail.
Bought both the thin and the card and neither will activate on my iphone XR. Just keeps looping back to the initial activate now screen after scanning the QR code, selecting activate now, selecting either the thin or the card, selecting iPhone XR, then continue, I get back to the How to activate screen. Which shows Tap/connect/stick/network instructions. The first 3 do nothing, the 4th gives a youtube link, no way to get to a login page. Help brings you to a youtube video that shows you getting to a login page, that doesn't happen... Closing the browser and starting over sometimes gets me a blank page, sometimes gets me the whole run around again...
I had the same problem this week setting up my XR. Then I realized it was operator error after watching videos here. I forget which video it was, but it wasn’t this one. But, that video didn’t show me how to connect my Dots, but this one did. Funny that this company doesn’t have a website, nor online help. Thank goodness for UA-camrs who help us along with new technology.
What's the best way to share my QR code (i.e. place in email signature or send via text/email)... is there not a link in my profile on my phone to forward the code? the little icon in the upper right corner of the screen pulls up a blue QR code, which does nothing and there's no way to forward it if it did do something. There seem to be a number of loose ends in using the Dot card... I'm impressed as hell with the technology, but have to say the interface, and amount of information available leaves something to be desired!

Stay away from the do t business card or classic Dot. They don't work at least the NFC part doesn't work and customer service is non-existent they do not contact you back save your money

For everyone who's having trouble with activating your dot devices and loading screen remains loading. Try a different internet browser. Firefox and Chrome don't seem to work well. That Samsung internet. Galaxy fones have them. I'm nit sure about apple
It doesn't appear that you can add more than 1 of anything. 1 phone number, 1 email, 1 social. If you attempt to add 2 it just overwrites the other. That's a big miss for people that want to share for business purposes.
Yes, I'm disappointed in this as well. I run two businesses and a band so I was looking forward to using this instead of carrying three different business cards. :-/
If you trap the flame button on the view my profile screen, it'll open your first icon as the main link. If you deselect the flame button, you can view all your contacts when you tap your card/thin/classic.
Activated the card and set up by scanning the QR code but could not activate the dot classic and dot thin. I put it near the top back of my iphone 14 and nothing happened. One user suggested shutting down the phone and putting the dot near the top back of phone after turning it back on. Sure enough, it immediately recognized the dot classic and said ‘NFC’ and took me to Safari and let me add to my profile. I did the same with the dot thin.
Okay guys I think I figured it out, ( well at least it worked for me so worth a try) After I ran into the same issue of my card not working when I tap on the phone, I deleted my account. (Which unlinked my card from the account) I then created the same account again ( DO NOT SCAN THE QR CODE ON THE CARD UNTIL AFTER YOU CREATE THE ACCOUNT AGAIN) the website to create the account is dot.cards…. After you create the account again you then scan the QR code on the card and once you click activate card now it should work. (Im using an Iphone 12 pro)

Hi I just got those as a gift for Christmas and I have a very important question aa being someone was hacked in the past!!!!! So my question is 1. How do I know someone hasn't activated card first than I try to activate they get into my phone? Also the card comes not wrapped???? Why does it just come in cardboard with no plastic, so if I connect dot to by phone someone who has dot can tap my phone and connect to my contacts?????
All the instructions are worded as if you are are holding both phones eg make sure you turn on nfc etc. if I have to give instructions on going into settings etc to the person I’m trying to share my info with, isn’t that a bit laborious?
Hello, on my Android Samsug S8, works both the QR and the NFC automatic, on my Iphone X just work the QR, the NFC is not automatic, I need to open the Control Center, click on the NFC icon, and then it works, very disapointed since most of the people here in US uses Iphone and not Android... i buy this stuff to use it here, and it seems that I need to ask the people to activate their devices... in order to work...
So......your camera has to be on (or at least your phone screen activated) for this dot process to work. That way your QRC Code can be auto scanned and activated - if your phone does not have a "sweet spot" trigger *(like my Android and my friend's iPhone)

This has been horribly frustrating! My dot did not register to my email, so I cannot edit my profile. The information on my profile will not save when a person attempts to download my contact. This has been hours of wasted valuable time. Your support is horrible. This service is supposed to simplify sharing your contact and content, but has cost me hours of wasted time. Then it is extremely difficult to contact your support team. I am truly frustrated right now. This is not how I want to represent our agency and I do not think this is a good representation of your company. I cannot log into my account to edit anything or fix the download issue, and I cannot reset the dot thin now because it is linked to an account I have no control of or access to.

For Galaxy and Note, place DOT near top/camera. This keeps it from scanning every time you open your phone.

It doesn’t seem like you can setup the Dot devices by using the QR code. You must use the NFC feature and tap the DOT on the back of your phone.
Has Apple settings changed how these work? I bought a few and none of them seem to work.

I have more than two on mine no problem. It seems everyone is having hit or miss issues.

SOLUTION.
1. Log out of the site.
2. Restart your phone.
3. Tap card to phone and click link.
4. Log in.
5. Prompts will ask to activate card.

I just got my card and as a new business owner my info is going to change quite a bit. How do I get to my profile to edit my info

This has been horribly frustrating! My dot did not register to my email, so I cannot edit my profile. The information on my profile will not save when a person attempts to download my contact. This has been hours of wasted valuable time. Your support is horrible. This service is supposed to simplify sharing your contact and content, but has cost me hours of wasted time. Then it is extremely difficult to contact your support team. I am truly frustrated right now. This is not how I want to represent our agency and I do not think this is a good representation of your company. I cannot log into my account to edit anything or fix the download issue, and I cannot reset the dot thin now because it is linked to an account I have no control of or access to.
Am I able to link all my referral codes to this??? If anyone knows thanks for the help.
