I'm glad you're using the Rustoleum Turbo primer. I used this on my car and loved them. Even kept a few to make refillable cans. Can't wait to see the yellow on this car. I remember the last videos with this yellow. Bless you for enduring so much with neighbors to helps others. Don't be discouraged by it. We serve a good God and may he bless you many times over. Great Video! I've been a Painter, Finisher, Sheetrocker, Carpenter, Home Restoration Contractor and home Mechanic. I fixed/repaired & rebuilt Me own vehicles and Me Families vehicles as well. I started at age 9 helping Me Honourable Grandfather Jerry a 98 year old WWII Veteran who lives alone and is still going strong. I lived with Him and Me Grandma in White Sound on Elbow Cay Abaco Bahamas from 1972 - 1980. I'm well familiar with Zinsser 123. I started using it first came out. It said it would stick to anything including Ceramic tile & glass. I thought this was a lot of hype and bs a sales gimmick. That is until I primed my first house with it. You're supposed to lap the paint on the glass about 1/16"-1/8" This seals the glazing to the windowpanes. The window cleaners scrape off the paint off from around the windowpanes when they clean the windows. I'm speaking of the exterior of a brand new house. The cleaners could not get it off. Traditional Paint & primer was easy to clean you just cut around the windowpanes with a razor blade knife. The primer and paint scraped right off with your razor blade scraper, it comes off very easily, but 123 will not. Nearly broke the windowpanes cleaning the 123 off. In those days windows were mostly 6 panes on the top window and 6 panes on the bottom window, called 6 over 6. A few were 6 over 9 so you can well imagine how much trouble it was to clean this many windowpanes off on a brand new house. Needless to say I never used 123 to prime windows ever again. It is an extremely strong adhesion product. I can't think of any other primer that sticks better than this. I don't know how they do it it's water-based but it's indestructible when dry. I never thought of using it for priming a car but this is a great idea. Being a water-based product it would be probably 6 to 8 coats thick in one coat when compared to an oil-based automotive primer. 123 is much thicker than even high build scratch & nick fill oil based automotive primer. They didn't have turbo spray cans with the wide fan like they do now back in the day. If I prime anymore automobiles I would definitely use this primer unless I had a rust problem. Then I would treat any rusty metal with Ospho before priming. Ospho chemically converts rust which is iron oxide to iron phosphate a hard black inert substance which will no longer rust. If you stand on the car and remove any light rust powder then treat it with Ospho on the rusty spots before you prime you won't have to worry about the rust coming back. This makes it much easier because you don't have to physically grind every little rust spot out. All you need to do is go over them lightly with the sander get all the loose powdery rust off and then treat these spots with Ospho before priming. I've been painting 50 plus years and I learned something new from this video. Thank You! The old saying we've all heard, you're never too old to learn is true and correct as I can attest to by this video. Makes me feel stupid I didn't think of doing this myself. It's just so obvious, I guess. I never thought of it because it is so obvious. Zinsser 123 is one of the best primers on the market hands down. It will literally stick to anything and any kind of paint and or finish will stick to it including regular wood stain. If you have it tinted a pine color or some other type of light coloured wood (you can only do light colors with it unless you buy the Deep tone version of this primer) you can stain a door shutters or anyting else that you prime with wood colored 123 primer and using a China bristle brush you can stain it regular Minwax penetrating stain and it will look like wood if you place your brush marks with the direction of the wood. You need to spray over this with Minwax exterior Marine Spar varnish or some other high-quality clear coat finish on the first coat then you can brush it after that. I would just keep on spraying it 3 coats total. You can use it to prime anything. Plus it blocks color bleed and other types of stains from coming through your finish coats. My only caution is you better put it where you want it and be sure about this before you use it because once it's dry it ain't coming off unless you sandblast it or burn it off. I couldn't even get it off with heavy duty extra strength MEK (menthyl ethyl ketone) chemical based paiste strippers, believe Me I've tried. Zinsser 123 is literally indestructible. If they made a high-gloss version of it in colours and a clear coat you wouldn't even anything else to paint cars with. And it wouldn't chip like traditional car paint when somebody bumped it with their car door. You wouldn't think so but oil based primer is ten times easier to get off this stuff. I don't know what the hell is in it but if they make glue out of it you couldn't get whatever you glued apart. Is sticks better than any primer I've ever used except maybe two-part epoxy primer and it sticks just as good as that. God Bless Y'all Jimmy in NC....

All the best brother. It’s difficult to not be negative in the face of situations like you’re having with the neighbors, but I’m certain you’ll find a way to keep going with your work and videos. It’s times like these that show the world what sort of man you are.

Hey buddy, I believe the reason your neighbors are complaining is not because of the fumes, but because of your gospel message at the end of each one of your videos. You’re reaching millions of people with these videos, I am sure. Satan does not like that, so you can expect resistance!

You should always start with the middle of the roof & work to the outside, do the other half of the roof, then do the hood the same way, then paint the body... that way you don't have to worry about getting up against the freshly painted sides of the car...it makes things much easier if you do it like that...
Dude, I’ve been following you for a few years now, if anything, your neighbors should be asking for your help for paint correction lol. You aren’t causing any problems, just doing what you love. Things will work themselves out, keep the faith.

I painted my dads truck with spray cans out front off our house and a cop drove by. we asked him if someone called them and he said no, I was driving by and it looked like fun . he jumped out the car and said I did my Nova in my driveway and started helping us. he said it not illegal to paint your car on your property. I use this Zinsser primer alot, I use mostly Tractor/Implement paint and it works amazing. Alot of people look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them it's tractor paint but it's cheap and you have to learn mix it correctly, I thin it out and use less hardner, in stead of a 1:8:1 ratio I use a 1.5:6.5/7:.75 ratio. you have to thin it so it doesn't crinkle but with more hardner it takes less hardner or it will become brittle plus it only takes 30 minutes to flash instead of the hour it normally takes and 8 hours to dry instead of the 24 hours that it usually takes.so I can spray it at night before bed and cut and buff the next morning.

After about 5pm they ain't coming lol. Throw them a curve ball with a covert op lol You should have two small vents in your garage. If you can find a couple of those turbo looking fans they will flow the air out nicely. If they see the box fan they assume your painting. Lord rebuke them for interfering with your ministry. I'm about to do a 62 Comet with that product. Primer, paint and clearcoat. It's always good to see peeps doing what I want to do and getting good results.🎉
Can this primer be used on metal?
Offer your neighbors a big block of cheese to go with that wine. If no body showed up your good.
The city always shows up and police don’t ever come by but the city offers $2,500 citation if i get in trouble for this. I can’t afford that. It’s insane
I'll keep you in prayer.
@@camlobesvtecThanks but they live on this street they don’t even need to see it they just need a report
❤️🙏😊 great video love that you guys are in the faith and sharing the gospel!!! Shalom in Jesus name!😊
Where did you get primer can from
They have it at Walmart but I got mine at a place called home base. It’s like Home Depot
Copperas Cove, the only place I have ever been pulled over on a bicycle and threatened with a DWI. I told the cop “next time I’ll just drive the car if I’m gonna have a few”. He let me go with a warning. Lol
That’s insane but also understand why they would pull some one over while being intoxicated even on a bicycle it could be dangerous. Stay safe 🙏🏻
"Love your neighbor as yourself." I guess your neighbors don't love themselves.
They even claim to love God. Its honestly sad.
