I been spray painting my cars and trucks for quite a while. I went and got the rust-oleum deluxe spray can handle because my finger tip has gone numb. Do not get the cheaper handle they don't work. I did my 91 nissan d21 4x4 recently. I used krylon silver hammered first then light over sprayed with hammered black. then 4 coats of clear. turned out awesome. Just came across your videos today 9/10/23. Was looking to see how to smooth out some cloudy paint. Great work. I live in the country but have no garage so I have to fight with bugs, dust, wind, leaves, varmits and storms. And I learn a lot from my mistakes. One thing is with spray paint you can just let it dry sand her down and redo it. My neighbors don't give a hoot what i do and we all go to the same church. Don't pay any attention to what the naysayers say just keep doing GODS work because the LORD will work things out for you. GOD bless. DAN C.

me personally since I didn't have a location (used my backyard) and the time (working 50-hrs per week), I think it would be best to paint panel by panel. And if you use the Spraymaxx 2k,...i would wait like 4 days before you wet sand it (if you have to wet sand). During covid I came across Morre Motorsports and this channel it's been a godsent. And watch more videos from this channel...this guy knows his stuff. I painted my car with rattle can...took short cuts on the body work (working 50-hrs per week), and people are amazed that it was done with spray paint.
I am doing my Chevy truck in Dark Grey Gloss right now little by little. Just did the tailgate and primered the bed this last week. Take your time, and it will look nice.

No. Our house rent plus shop rent is too much. Plus it’s in the city of copperas cove so it’s a no from me. I’d rather move to the country and do what I want there

Just a thought because you're really great with the prep work would you ever consider doing a video doing a Rust-Oleum paint job using a roller? Since you have such knowledge of prep work and wet sanding and all of that, I myself would be interested in seeing how that would be done with a roller. Too many nosey people now a days that have no life. So many people now a days that are sitting at home who don’t work or even try to contribute anything to society worried about a guy painting cars in his garage. I personally wouldn’t care as long as it’s being done discreetly and not affecting the neighborhood in a bad way.

You used the turbo primer on the Integra that you painted metallic blue. How did you then prep the primer before painting? Cause now I think I'll rather use the method you used before on previous cars. Sand it --> Edge primer --> Sand it --> Clean with window spray --> Three coats of Rust-Oleum 2x paint & primer --> Two coats of 2k clear coat --> Wet sand it --> Maguire's compound --> Polish --> Done. I know where 60 acres with an old barn, new well and electric is in MO for $170000. You'd have to build a house or live in an RV for a while like a lot of other people. No restrictions. I have 4 acres nearby. Love it here!!! Anyway...I am a new subscriber. My daughter was just given an 09 Toyota Corolla and I'm trying to learn how to make it nice for her. She is an ai tech (artificial insemination) for cattle and travels all of MO. She needed this car badly!

Would you recommend that the best way to avoid this would be just to ensure it is properly sanded throughout and nice and smooth beforehand?
Tractor paint with a hardener and a cheap harbor freight gun would be cheaper and probably give ya better results. The hardener would definitely give you way more longevity than rattle cans. Just food for thought guys.
Im not a pro. I have done the same thing. And learned front my mistakes. The bumpers will not hold. They need a flexible paint & U a Special cleaner coat for the car & bumpers. I spent so much money on sand paper . 😖

Block sand it smooth using 320 or 400 grit paper. Then apply your topcoat.

Yes get the primer smooth smooth and make sure cans are warmed up and orange peel isn’t that bad.

Deff need to add flex agent to plastic bumpers\pieces or its just going to crack and flake off

They over step a lot, look up copperas cove Texas ordinances you will be blown away
