When I say Mage Amor helps you unarmored defense, I didn't mean they stack. I mean you get 13 plus your dexterity. Thats better than using your wisdom. That's what I meant.

I've been trying to make a make a gun wielding dude and I remembered a character from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5, Mista.
Mista is a gun-wielding human who has the stand Sex Pistols. Sex Pistols is a stand that's 7 mini bullet shaped characters just under the size of a salt shaker. Sex Pistols can ride on bullets and ricochet them to hit enemies by using punches and kicks. All I can think is that he should be an artificer.

If I remember from that video though spider ham was a bard warlock with hex blade for warlock taking a hammer and I forget the bard type

Honestly you could get the same thing by focusing on con and cha for the build. One doesn't need resistances to take a hit

@@MaJunior00 agree to disagree. Charisma is social skill (deceiving,intimidating,persuading) and your ability to bend the world to your will (cha based casters). Not a fast quip.
Standard spiderman isn't ever shown being very good socially, nor do they tend to bend the world to their will.
@@studynot757 Yeah, gonna have to disgree. Being funny would be a type of performance, which is Charisma. Rattling your opponents through verbal patter is Charisma. And honestly, since Spider-Man's constant quips and one liners originated as a way for him to put on a brave face against all the insanity he was dealing with as a child, I'd say he nailed deception too.
@@MaJunior00 that certainly sounds like the Andrew Garfield Spiderman and not the comics ones to me. He never seems like he's performing to me in comics and most other spiderman iterations. Coping sure, but not performing. But you enjoy your builds and I'll enjoy mine :D

Harley Quinn has been established for almost 30 years though.
I think it's also related to how familiar we are with regular Gwen. But instead of a plain tragedy/cautinary tale, she now has some further characterization.

Reflavoring Drunken Master as Ballerina is genius. Never really thought of that.
Why personal favorite reflavor is Astral Self Monk being a Cyborg/Mecha Monk. Instead of spiritual summoning, the features are instead interpreted as robotic enhancements, which is already supported by Body of the Astral Self stating "[it] covers your physical form like a suit of armor." Now you can play Monk who can summon 2 robot arms in combat!
@@jansolo4628 I actually have made a character concept being basically a Doc Oc GlaD0s inspired thing using AS Monk, Armorer Artificer as the main class and I was toying with having 2 levels in wizard for a subclass feature like Chronomancer's Int + Inititive (Because Robot)
Also; Drunken Master works with most kinds of dance. but also should work with things that may see time slower than it is (Rather than being unpredictible they just see attacks coming from further away) Or it works with The Matrix.

Not counting a high level monk using Tasha's rules. Which I'm not 100% sure would work with a whip, but I'm too lazy to check.
Warlock works pretty well ever since Spider-Gwen bonded with her universe's Venom

Jill Valentine, and Claire Redfield from the Resident Evil series. Jill is a dual Thief Rouge/Oath of the Watchers Paladin, and Claire is a either a dual Rouge/Alchemist Artificer, or dual Cleric/Alchemist Artificer.
Why not use Lightning Lure as a Cantrip? Could be like a taser web

I hate to be contradictory (maybe hate is a strong word), but his powers come directly from his heritage, so wouldn't he be more like a Sorcerer? Maybe Divine Soul for his, well, Divine parentage, or perhaps Sea Sorcerer? Although it is a bit old, it works pretty well for him.

River Tam deserves some love, Buffy Summers as well, or even Echo (Dollhouse). I know Whedon is under serious fire, as he rightly deserves, but some great characters came from his shows.
Buffy would be cool. I'd guess ranger[ hunter (undead/demons)], multi with monk [kenesi] for the fighting and awesome blade stuff. Also, starting feat (cause human) could be tavern brawler so she can use stakes as a weapon.
@@christopherfloody5555 there's also a monster hunting sub of fighter, which gives more score increases and would get her closer to slayer powers.
@@feralart I personally see Buffy as that, the Fighter variant. It would give her the pseudo magical senses of the Slayer, and she could take Unarmed Fighting. Buffy uses her brute strength, not her skill, to punch. She also doesn't rely on her wits to dodge, just her Slayer durability to take more hits. She's also shown to use her anger as a weapon. Therefore, I consider Buffy a Fighter X/Barbarian 1 at the least.
River could probably be full monk (open hand, kensei, or drunken master since she was a dancer) with maybe a few feats (or level dips as opposed to full monk) to get the mindreader abilities
@@emilyaw3831 If she went Monk, she’d have to be a Stronk. It’s called Slayer Strength, not Slayer Dexterity.

Ok I have an idea of how you could web swing. If you use presidigitation to summon a grappling hook curled up in your hand, you can throw it, throw another one, disperse the first one, repeat

Wow, way to drop the ball. I feel like this really lowered the bar. It's cool and all but I feel like you didn't get the gravity of what you were doing. Honestly, this feels like it fell flat. Though I guess you did a good job with your snap decisions, I understand this is back breaking work.

Would love to see a Zebediah Killgrave (aka Purple Man) from Marvel build, I'd be interesting in seeing a character build that is all about mental control and dominating people.
Considering he also used his powers to commit sexual assault on Jessica Jones, I doubt Tulok would consider building him for the channel. But there are plenty of spells that are all about control and command, probably a sorcerer to keep it charisma-based... maybe abberant soul for the mental power.

I’d love to see someone from Black Clover. There are so many good options like Asta, Yuno, Yami, Noelle, and personal favorite Luck.
Noelle might be somewhat tricky as her magic specialty is water, though we might need something for Mage-Armor if we want to give her the Water Valkyrie Armor she gains early on post-Timeskip.

Okay, few days late to this video but let's do this.
Race: Variant Human
Background: Dunno. The spiderverse movie has her as having Ballet shoes so that means she might have been a ballerina so maybe entertainer? Or Athlete could work too.
Stats:
#1: Dex: She's a Spiders person and (as stated above) (potentially) a ballerina.
#2: Int: I'm not an inexhaustible well of knowledge about Spider Gwen but she seems to have a pretty good handle on life in most incarnations.
#3: Wis: as a Spider's person you need high perception, this will help her get there.
#4: Cha
#5: Con: Little lower than I'd like but in a lot of builds this is around 4-5. Tulok may switch this one with Cha (If any of these stats are even remotely close to the correct spots.)
#6: Str: In at least one Incarnation of her she actually doesn't have any powers herself (Marvel's Ultimate Spider-man TV series) and all of her spideryness comes from a suit she built. I'll be using that version if Gwen mostly so she doesn't feel too much like an alt skin of Peter or Miles as much. Not sure if Tulok will go this route but I'm going to use this as my guess anyway. This means no Spider Strength just regular teenager Strength.
Class(es)
- Armorer Artificer using the Infiltrator armor. It isn't a perfect stand in for her actual suit but Artificer stuff can do a Spider person pretty well. For example you can infuse "Helm of Awareness" into the armor to imitate Spider sense. True Gwen doesn't shoot Lightning at people but it can be rationalized that she saw Miles use Lightning and decided to integrate it into her suit.
- Some form of melee class. Probably fighter with unarmed fighting. That or Monk.
- Maybe a Rogue dip for the skills.

Could always go Dhampir race too. A little out-there, but flavour that you're the offspring on a human and drider instead of vampire, and you get Spider Climb naturally

Spider-Woman, Spider-Girl, May Day, Arachne, Madam Web, Spider-Lady, Silk, Spiderling, Mayhem, Arana, (each mantle has multiple wearers.) and that's just the female marvel spiders.
Hah - this use of Drunken Master is similar to a character I've had planned for the next time I get to play, it really is a great 'dancer' reflavor. (I feel validated when Tulok does something I was thinking about doing.)

I wonder if we can get White from "So Im A Spider, So What?" An arachne spider woman with legendary thread control, poison, hyper magic skills and is basically a beast in combat. In fact, you could pull from a variety of stages of the book series to determine what abilities she should have.

She has the same general weapon abilities as her other Spider-brethren, with strengths in brawling and bows and a weakness in heavy armor.
She's the all-rounder of the Spider-Verse characters, with well-balanced stats all around.

For my spider character I just ended up creating a cursed ring of Lolth, giving a cantrip of web generating and little more. Plus with official item slippers of Spiderclimbing.

The new dhampir lineage provides an interesting way to get a concentration-free “Spider Climb”...as soon as 3rd Level.
The whole “vampiric bite” & the hunger isn’t particularly a “Spider-thing”...but if you re-flavor it as you being the result of a science experiment gone wrong...presto!

@@arroz-autista7766 In one of the comics and the movies Gwen falls and when Spider-man tries to save her she dies due to what would be classified as falling damage in 5e game terms. I think in the original comic where it happened, it was from a clock tower.
