- Want to know what my cabin looked like on the Disney magic? .... Well here's a video of my Cruise ship crew cabin. It's a very small space and takes some getting use to.
Wow! Watching this brings back memories haha that alarm!!! Worked on Disney Magic 2006/2007 looks like more bench and cupboard space than when I was last there lol I can't believe I survived that small space especially when my room mate had gastro😆 I remembered that light by the bed was fitted above the bed shelf... thanks for sharing
The shower curtain hug is the best part of the « bathroom » 😂
Ash!!!! From a former DCL Cast Member....tips....#1 get some MAGNETIC clips to add to the shower curtain to adhere outside the shower to the walls so it doesn't kill you during the shower. #2....become friends with an Officer with a great cabin who will let you hang with them. My cabin on the Wonder was below the stage and used to be a quad and I had a King bed, sofa, desk and FOUR hanging closets!!!! Damn good thing as my contract was 5 months and I would have killed myself one week in if I had that cabin you just showed
Wish i could work with mickey and minnie on a cruise that would be cool to spend months with someone who can do the characters
I am guess you know someone that works in youth on the Magic called Kenya and I was on the Magic a week ago and I loved her, and she was my best friend in Vibe. She told me she was also on the UK Sailings and on the way back to Miami the ocean was horrible and everyone was seasick. If you are still on the Magic let her know that Landon from the April 30, 2022 sailing had any amazing time in Vibe and she was my favorite!
I know her very well and I worked with her in vibe very closely on the dream. I’m glad you had a great time on your cruise !!!!
I will be working soon as an Ordinary Seaman in Disney Cruise line. I wonder if the cabins for OS are the same with yours? Good for two persons?
We just sailed on the dream I wondered how the crews cabins looked. Wow so tiny
I hope you enjoyed your Cruise on the Dream. The Dream cabins are slightly bigger than the Disney magic ones. I do have a video tour of the Dream crew cabins if you wanted to look and compare. Peope are often shocked at the size of where crew lives.
Can I ask how much do you pay Disney for accommodation? If you don't pay anything for that room, you have work + housing + food, many people would want to be in your place without a doubt 🤷♀️
You don’t pay anything. Disney pay for your flights to the ships and then they provide you all your food while you work on the ship.
It's funny,i worked on the Disney magic for 4 and half yrs i know that ship like my own house,crewmess food menu must still be the same after many yrs😄
I don't think crew mess food will every change. Im sure there is a piece of chicken still sitting under the hot light that was there when you were on board ;)
Hey, I’m going to work onboard the new Disney wish and I was wondering where you store your suitcase! Can you take a big suitcase and store it somewhere ?
The disney wish has plenty of storage in their rooms. They are bigger and lots of space more than the other ships cabins. Now I have not been on the wish this is just what I’ve been told from.

Yeah this is the cabin. The Magic is an old ship so has some problems somtimes. Shes an old woman and starting to feel and look her age haha

If you go into the Disney cruise careers website you can find the jobs on there. Depending on what country you are from you select from a list which gives you info about a procurement ally in your country.
Damn where do you store your suitcases
So either under the bed if they fit and the room allows or they go on a shelf at the end of the bed.
Hello ash I have a question when you work in disney cruise line ..are there on board training if you want to learn about other area not your area? Are there some program or area or plataform to train yourself ? And what about crosstraing ? Is there possibilities to growth ?
Hey Emilia, Yes there are loads of oppotunites to move departments and train in other areas. Lots of people often move around.
Disney have a leaders in trianing programe as well which if you are interested in moving up you can take as well.

I hope your meeting goes well for you and your girlfriend. I think it is profitable working for disney cruise line. You do work long hours for the money you get paid but working on the ship is a good way to earn money and save without spending loads.

brother..how is the wifi connection on DCL..is it free for all crew or must purchase ?
wifi isnt good to be honest. When I first started we had to pay for all interent and then they included whattsapp as free to use along with imessage and i think facebook messenger. Then we were given an allownace of interent to use. Things change all the time so i would say just assume you will have to pay for interent except for whattsapp and messenger.
What ship would have the best living conditions? Do you get to choose what ship you want to work on?

That's actually pretty sad for people for work months on the ship get this small little room? Are you kidding me???
There isn't much room on a ship for crew as there are a lot of us so we have to fit on. Its not too bad when you get use to it but you only really sleep in there as you work all day anyway.
You don't spend too much time in the cabin...
I did two contracts with Disney,shit life,really sad.
