Rolled Land Cruiser On Hells Revenge Trail

- Got a call from a group of Toyotas that one of their rigs had rolled near the Mickeys Hot Tub obstacle on Hells Revenge. The call came in Saturday night, so Sunday morning me and Mike ran in to get it. Once we got to the vehicle I realized that I had once again forgot the keys to the vehicle. (it really doesn't happen as often as it looks like it does... Really.) so we picked up the roof rack and carried it out as we ran back to the shop to get the keys. Then we went back out and pulled it in to the trailhead and onto a trailer. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

Just to be clear... The honking was due to Mike trying to drive a dead vehicle with no power steering while filming(so you guys can watch)... And he kept bumping it accidentally. Had we had the headsets on, I still would have been stopping every time cuz I'm used to it meaning something bad is happening. We don't need the headsets in tows like this because we have done it so many times we each know what we need to do... But yes, I'm very aware of the humor of the headsets hanging in view as we yell at each other. Lol.
Also remember, the keys are safest locked up at the shop!
We have headsets in our trucks and rarely use them. Forgeting the keys made me laugh. I have been there before.... nothing like a three hour turn around for a simple mistake. Lol
I thought it was funny. If I said I'd never done anything like that, I'd be lying.
I knew you would have used the headsets if it was worth putting them on
@@IamTheCajun66 I've gone a camera club field trip and realised the camera battery was at home on the charger. Something I have done more than once is arrive at the supermarket checkout with a trolley full of groceries, and realised that my wallet was still outside in my truck, (I don't like the wallet in my pocket while working).
AH looks like the super heavy "overlander" roof rack raised the center of mass and flipped the poor LandCruiser :( Mike was honking to the Diamond-Billed Rock Peckers haha
Rory is a superb operator. Just his skills alone will get him first place in the tow truck Olympics.
Agreed. As long as it doesn’t involve keys. Lol. Rory does this everyday and knows his truck inside and out. I like all the other guys, but trailmater is the one to beat. 15:36
I agree 100%. ... The Olympics are just going to determine who is almost as good as Rory
Agreed.
Depending on who is judging.
I'm trying to get Ginger Billy on UA-cam to join the tow truck Olympics. Ginger Billy would easily win with the little Ford fiesta.
Radio headsets dangling right in their face while they yell from truck to truck 😂😂😂
Thanks for another adventure with no crappy music !
That's one of the things I love about Rory's videos - no crappy music! Trailmater's engine and tyres are the best music.🙂
These guys are doing obstacles with one hand on the wheel and filming with the other on obstacles that I would be white knuckled with both hands on the wheel. The team there is fantastic. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Mike is doing hands and legs every day so it's piece of cake for him:)
Rory forgets keys, Matt forgets gas, Paul forgets where his tools are, Robbie has a boss to keep him together.
You forgot Rudy...
MATT lost Rudy ?😳?
@@rythemzlatin Rudy has his own channel "Rudy adventure..." or some.
Yeah came to see if anybody made a comment about Rory's weak-point, "keys" .....
But not once do they forget to advertise mtn dew, dr pepr, or corn chips
Pretty sure Paul's sons and his brother are the ones misplacing tools.
Love how Rory just stops to pick up random trash on the trail. I wish everyone who off-roads would have that same attitude towards keeping this beautiful Earth as clean as we individually can!
If you watch other 4wd channels, you'll notice the mature wheelers (30+) have mesh trash bags on the back, just for that purpose.... oh, Roy has one, it's green.
@@jilbertb Yeah, I've seen that too. But Rory also took the time to film and mention it so as to hopefully help raise awareness among others who wheel too, and that's really cool.
While the GOV. puts chemical clouds in our sky's
BleepinJeep sells Trail Trash Sacks in their store. Great way to promote cleaning up our trails. 🙂
Maybe a reminder sticker on the dash "bring keys!!" ?? Good stuff guys, cheers from West Jordan
Been watching Rory and his group for a long time. And there is no way Fab Rats or Matt’s off-road recovery can compete with Rory. Give Rory the trophy now. 11:00
I think Merlin's Tow Mater will be Rory's toughest competitor. 🙂
The Olympics are just to decide who gets 2nd. ... #1 Rory
Rory's rig is way more rock crawler capable than the others it seems, like hopping up those 8' step ups.
Nothing but truth in this comment ^^^
Matt and Paul always power through tough situations and end up breaking something. Rory and trailmater are all finesse.
I like how when Mike has the camera he has a great appreciation for the surrounding amazing landscape of the Moab area. I really appreciate seeing those amazing views again. I've been there many times and it never ever gets old. It's kind of like the mountains here in Colorado.
Yes, same. Love his scenery shots.
Yes, Mike is an artist with his camerawork. Other channels will be copying him soon.
Poor Mike (beep). Couldn't catch (beep) a break this (beep) time 😃!
oh man the view in the final "thanks for watching" sequence was something to behold. Desert Segway into mountains.
Ok, that's twice in a week. "Customer keys" definitely has to go on the pre-flight checklist.
The calmness of wisdom, the patience of the wise man and the tranquility of the experience are fully evident in Rory's work, who as always enjoys a lot.
Thank you for sharing it.
I insist that you are the best, the number one of all.
Greetings
Well said my friend
love the convo about inability to communicate while the headsets are dangling around in the shot 😂
"The Horn could mean stop," says Corey as we look over his shoulder at the Bluetooth Headsets.
🤔🤔 If only there were another method of communication... 😉😉🤣🤣
Ah, SO MANY people totally F-up their nice new off road rigs doing these kinds of trails, it's kinda sad and unfortunate... But a good learning experience for the people who do it, so they know their limits and (hopefully) not do it again... Not only that, but anyone watching these videos can learn from other's mistakes too!
New horn code :
One honk = sorry my bad
Repeated honking = uh oh we better stop !
🙋🏼♂️ Mike getting those views nobody on you tube gets ‼️ Great job well done 🏴☠️
Crazy Toyota horns. HILLARIOUS!!!! I do that all the time with mine. Glad I'm not the only one.
The twist throttle is still one of my favorite upgrades. Its fundamental to a fully functioning Trail Mater.
I still want a steering wheel like that🙂
The humor was not lost on me. Watching the headsets swing as the horn honked and Mike said "sorry"
Rory the key man
Matts the gas man
💯🇺🇸✊🤣
Yalls laughs are always whole hearted and contagious. Hard not to smile when yall are around. Kudos to your whole team for just being real.
That looks like quite a tumble. I hope those folks are okay.
I bet they are fine, i didnt notice any blood or shit in the cab!! ... When Either of those 2 fluids are present, you know something real bad went down!! HAHA
I don't know if I would film a recovery where someone had been seriously injured. Bumps and bruises are always expected with a wreck, but luckily this guy was fine.
I love that you have communication devices hanging off your mirror but you still rely on the horn to communicate even though the horn wasn't working properly
LOVE MIKE AND SEAN !
Good morning!
Poor Mike, trying to triple-tasking :D
Another good recovery. 👏👏👏 for picking other folks trash.
New merch oppty I think for Rory - the slogan "What .. no keys?" 🙂 Smashing video - thanks for sharing.
The ending to this. The view! Magnificent
Not only were the key forgotten, but the answer to the com problem was swinging from the rear view mirror. Lol. Great job as always!
Everyone else is getting ready for the Tow Truck Olympics. Rory’s out on another recovery.
I think my current favorite thing on UA-cam is watching Trail Mater's suspension work over rocks. Just such a capable rig. Great videos, guys!
that morning wake and bake caused a lil key failure----lol
"oooh, firewood" Mike cracks me up! Ditto "Sean", send a smoke-signal...
Lovely slo-mo wheelie at 2:14
I reckon that Toyota is off to Write-off City!
Those camera shots feel like if I trip I'll get run over lol
Hahaha, I'm always accidentally bumping the horn on my old 87 Land Cruiser too!
Rory I noticed you're not using your radios lol. Love the channel great content 🇨🇦🇨🇦
1st gear, low, big block putting out 899 foot tons of torque. Yeah, That'll do it !
Have to let you know, Mike accidentally honking the horn made me laugh till I had tears. Thanks so much, you guys made my day!!!
Rory talking about the honking being the way to communicate and there are 2 radio headsets hanging in the middle of the shot, lol.
Thanks guys for filming while working to show us a good time, it's awesome!
I like the snorkel. Never know when a flash flood will happen!
As I've gotten into off roading here in the west half of the US, I was surprised to learn that it's mainly to get your air intake higher than the dirt/sand be kicked up by the guys in front of you.
TrailMater is so capable. I love watching that truck work.
Keys ... that's twice now! Lmao!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
You should put a little sign on the side of trail mater's door that says did you remember to get customer's keys
That closing scene Awesome. Keep up the goodwork
Excellent. Maybe a headset to communicate, like those hanging from the roof. Unless the batteries are run down. But I'm just teasing.
I think would be a great gesture on your behalf to get some copies of the Car and Driver magazine with Trailmater in it and give them to the runners up in the wrecker Olympics. I'm sure Matt and Paul and the others will cherish them forever.....lol
Genius!🙂
That beast is a amazing build!! Your gears, your drives, your knowledge and skills, all leave me awestruck!!!!
Keys? What keys? LOL
The key is Rory in the drivers seat...
A really clear (and cold) day giving a good view of the La Sals beyond the red rock.
Nice roof rack recovery also. 👍
That poor thing took a whooping. I like the side mirror upgrade. Thanks
Today we got Rory and Mike helping TrailMater get one out. The toughest wrecker in the west doing what comes naturally. I love seeing a hard working truck make it look easy. Give TrailMater the credit for doing all the heavy lifting.
who built trailmater?
@@HAHA.GoodMeme - Disney?
Rory built trail Mater, and continues to repair and upgrade her. Amazing machine.
@@HAHA.GoodMeme Rory found TrailMater as a young pup amongst the many Dinosaur bones in Moab. He has nurtured it into the beast it is today.
Best office views in the land. And true professionals.
Seriously skilled driving. Rory's probably going to win the tow truck Olympics
You need something that reminds you to bring keys every time you head out on a tow!
Nice to see that people with stop to pick up a can on the trail.
Wish everyone was so contentious outdoors.
I quite enjoy the grip of that Moab "slick rock".
The new treds seem to be working very well.
Eric mentioned in one of his videos the rodeo was going to be after KOH and before EJS, not a lot of time for Matt and Paul to get their rigs running and the bugs worked out. I'm rooting for team Trail Mater!
That is where the radios come in handy
Nice job guys, great drive for Mike, lol. Appreciate the humor and always impressed with m8ter and Rory skills.
Love the camera angles! Made me real nervous ...which I like 👍🤓
The look when you said the keys in the mailbox! I can relate to stuff like that! Not funny at the time but a good laugh later on
Bout as bad is being in the checkout line at the grocery store with over $200 in food & THEN, you forgot to bring your wallet 😁
Love the last shot. 😨😵😱👍
This channel deserves, At-Least A-HALF-A-MILLION-TO-A-MILLION-SUBSCRIBERS!!!!
Nice job getting her out of there. I'll bet the driver is cussing over his decision to make that judgement call on the last obstacle!! LOL!! Good job on the camera too Mike AND Rory!!!
👍👍 Every time your skills blow me away!
That Yota has seen better days!! A lot of weight was on that roof as well, making it even more likely to go over!!🙃
you all are so nice, you go out twice
Way to go Guys. Maybe a sticker on the dash saying "Have you got the keys" 😂❤️. Love the scenery of the last shot.
Great recovery that trail mater is a work horse
So... forgot the keys again eh... such is life for all of us. Nice office you have there.
That exit shot is an amazing view!
Looks like Mater got some new shoes LOL. I envy your summers but could not handle your winters!
Great video Rory and Mike!! you forgot the keys again! Dude! Oh well. stuff happens!
TRLM8ER sounds awesome.
Take out what you bring in, no trash
Exactly.
Loved the new level unlock. Super overlanders.
The view from the hill top, amazing. Thank you. 🙂👍👍
Take a sharpy marker and write the word "keys" on your windshield high in your field of vision. 😁
Wheelin for fun, wheelin for work you got it good!
Great job. As always a great video. Had to laugh at the forgotten keys. Be careful you will develop a reputation to rival Matt's running out of gas habit.
Matt always forgets gas ⛽️ Rory forgets keys 🔑 😆 🤣
After the SXS recovery and this the “KEY” to easier future recoveries is to go prepared 😂. Another great job Moab Crew.
I can forgive the Key caused chaos, assuming it gets cured.
But the Inadvertent Horn Honks seemed really odd to me. Rory explaining the issue while the cam in the cab is literally pointed through the two comm headsets to catch Rory's image in the rear view mirror. It seemed like bait.
@@barbeonline351 your over thinking things. I’d bet you never steered a non running vehicle off-road, especially one handed. He bumped the horn. No conspiracy here.
@@norcoredneck I totally understand how the honks occurred. I cast no aspersions toward those accidents.
I just found it weird that the solution was on hand, in view, and has been used in previous videos, but was ignored.
I used to be a MORR regular, but gave that up when I found Rory. Matt's problems of zero fuel, inadequate equipment, failed attempts, etc. seemed absolutely amateur compared to how Rory and crew rolls.
In retrospect, I now see how this may simply be a function of the editor who used the sequences to stitch in a story line which in the totality of the actual recovery was a non-event.
@@barbeonline351 I watch them all Trail Mater, MORR, Fab Rats, Robby Layton and enjoy them all. The follies are part of the entertainment. Let us know when you start your business and UA-cam channel and I’ll give it a whirl. Hope your content is spot on perfect.
Mike, you did well. I'm glad that you put camera away. Boss should buy magnet holders. Most offroad trucks are made of steel.
Just another day of getting it done.
Great video!
Thanks from England + forgetting stuff (in my experience of me) means you are trying to do too much and not getting enough rest, overdue a holiday etc.
I come to see real men do work and stay to the end for the outtakes you guys are awesome.
Hey I really like the edit at 11:00 where Rory picks up the gopro and then it cuts to the gopro footage, nice :)
Excellent work as usual…but, is that not the definition of Broverlanding?😂
Headache! Not only a master cinematographer, filling the shoes of the master towed vehicle driver shaun. Thanks. Love dirt
Just a thought here. Maybe you should take a broken part from each recovery and weld it to Trailmator! Like game of thrones! Really put the fear into Matt and Paul!
thanks for taking us along guys, hugs from Belgium.
Sometimes cameras have a personality all their own. Drama in Mikes outtake! Nice edit!
I spy with my little eye, something dangling inte the roof of trailmater that could eliminate the issue with involuntary honking. 🤭 Thanks for sharing and keep up the shenanigans!
Great job guys, 2 videos on the trot now that Rory has forgotten the keys. Have to make a sign on the dash “have you got the keys” keep up the good work. 🇬🇧😎
