The transformation of the older wood chairs and table is totally amazing. It looks to be the work only for professionals, yet with the paint techniques on small items it is achievable. It is fascinating to see the before and after. The scroll patterns work wonderfully and achieves a better effect. Decoupage is so smart.

Dear Christina, your channel has the simplest and most professional presentation of very valuable information about the technique of staining with chalk paint and waxes !!!!. I want to admit that among the many similar videos on UA-cam, your work is of the highest quality! Thank you very much for generously sharing your knowledge !!! Christina, I love all of those pieces, and am so envious of the low prices you paid for them. In italy, It's nearly impossible to find furniture worth the trouble of transforming. Also, the majority of antique and vintage Italian furniture is either very dark veneer, or high quality wood like walnut Most are elaborately hand carved. The decoupage paper you used, A Study in Green is one of my very favourites. The table is stunning.🙏🙏

great video. You are both so talented. Im gkad you will ve doing more with colour wax - I love it. Can you also provide more detail on decoupsging using an iron. it seemed as though Danial lets the mod podge dry before adding the decoupage and then sets it with an iron. im interested to learn more about that technique. thank you so much for your videos Christina. I am learning a lot from you.
... thank you so much Donna 🙏 for your kind comment and thoughtful feedback 💙💙 I think I would like to make a tutorial just about different ways to do decorative decoupage and show up close step by step with the iron on method too! Both ways Daniel and demonstrated are great but to get more specific details with tips and tricks is a fantastic idea! Thank you again for your kind words and support 💙🤗
Amazing video as always! I have actually a question regarding the decoupage using the iron. Could you please go more in depth with this method? Thank you! 😊
Awesome! I am planning on adding some gold to a finished grey and blue washed accent cabinet.. i am a total newbie so wasnt sure how to achieve this, espially being I want to keep the finish already on the piece, just add some gold to tie into rest of room. My thoughts were maybe to take a almost dry brush with some sort of shiny gold and spread the bristles to add gold distressing, again I have never done anything like this before. Could I just water down some gold chalk paint maybe or acrylic and blot it back off? I think I have seen people use wax to achive this look before! I am already buying some acrylic in shiny gold to touch up a canvas picture so thats why I asked if I can use acrylic. I notice you dont use primer either, do I need to seal. I definitely dont want to prime since I want to leave color that is already there.
Amazing work!! Because you have different styles, it's so fun to watch you both working on the same objects. I have a question to you, guys, what is the best way to protect chalk paint on a faux leather seat of a chair?
Hi Tati! Thank you so much for your kind words!!! I actually did a tutorial on your question on chalk painting a leather chair. You can see it under my playlist. I used a clear wax. 🙏🎨❤️
Christina both of you did a fabulous job upscaling thrifts finds to look so high-end. Do have a question Christina the table that you decoupage instead of using mod podge to top coat it, could you have use the clear glaze instead? Thanks for sharing your creative skills.
... thank you so much Maria 🙏 for your kind comment and support 💙 So for the decoupage to seal it , it’s always a bit confusing with the word glaze lol 😂 So clear decorative glaze doesn’t seal but I know that there are glazes that do seal as a protection. The clear glaze I use both Benjamin Moore and General Finishes are not a sealer. You can use clear wax to seal as well or a lacquer ! Just remember to view the instructions on any glazes you may in the future purchase. Hope this helps 🤗💙
Beautiful transformation! ❤ I finally have a question 🙂... if you have a smooth surface (like a box top) that's painted off white (like Pure) and you want to decoupage a picture (printed on regular paper) with a variety of darker colors, how would you transition? There is no framing on the surface and the picture is in the middle with burnt edges (I learned from your videos 🙂).... I like as is, but it's for a friend's 70+ dad and i think he would like a more finished look... he's starting to forget things and I think having a picture of all his adult children and grandchildren on something that he could use daily to put items would be nice... thanks Christina!
... that sounds beautiful Cheryl ❤️ The transition of the paper decoupage I would recommend adding a bit of the pure white colour and add a little texture after you place the decoupage. I would add more of the colours on top of the decoupage that are similar to the image for the illusion that the image was painted 😉 If you seal it with the mod Podge you can even lightly sand it for a worn look too! Just use a very fine grit but make sure you seal it and it is dry completely. It’s all about the art of illusion with both the paint colours and burnt edges 😉🎨 I absolutely love your idea 💡 and it sounds perfect 👌 If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me anytime or send me a photo that helps me see what other tips I can help you with 🤗💙
I’m at a lack of words. I adore both projects and I WANT them but transport fees would be way too much. I would like to know where Daniel bought his decoupage paper. I love his lamp and coloured used. Congrats to both 👍😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👩🏼🎨❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

Christina both of you did a fabulous job upscaling thrifts finds to look so high-end. Do have a question Christina the table that you decoupage instead of using mod podge to top coat it, could you have use the clear glaze instead? Thanks for sharing your creative skills.
... thank you so much Maria 🙏 for your kind comment and support 💙
So for the decoupage to seal it , it’s always a bit confusing with the word glaze lol 😂
So clear decorative glaze doesn’t seal but I know that there are glazes that do seal as a protection. The clear glaze I use both Benjamin Moore and General Finishes are not a sealer.
You can use clear wax to seal as well or a lacquer ! Just remember to view the instructions on any glazes you may in the future purchase. Hope this helps 🤗💙
Well done 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you 👍 Thanks for supporting my channel!🎨🙏❤️
Gracias por poner subtítulos! Me encantan tus trabajos

I like as is, but it's for a friend's 70+ dad and i think he would like a more finished look... he's starting to forget things and I think having a picture of all his adult children and grandchildren on something that he could use daily to put items would be nice... thanks Christina!
... that sounds beautiful Cheryl ❤️
The transition of the paper decoupage I would recommend adding a bit of the pure white colour and add a little texture after you place the decoupage. I would add more of the colours on top of the decoupage that are similar to the image for the illusion that the image was painted 😉
If you seal it with the mod Podge you can even lightly sand it for a worn look too!
Just use a very fine grit but make sure you seal it and it is dry completely.
It’s all about the art of illusion with both the paint colours and burnt edges 😉🎨
I absolutely love your idea 💡 and it sounds perfect 👌
If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me anytime or send me a photo
that helps me see what other tips I can help you with 🤗💙
Thanks so much!!!! I'll give it a try... You're super kind ... 🙂
I just used the Bridget decoupage on a side table !
Awesome!!! 🙏🎨❤️
Could you please do a tutorial on how to decoupage a lampshade??!!
I love the custom wax. Did you clear wax first and then use the custom wax?
... I did clear wax first and I applied the custom colour I made with clear and Olive tone.
💚💚
Wow!
Thank you!!! 🙏🎨❤️
Hi Dianne!! Thank you so much!! I will have to ask Daniel. 🙏🎨❤️
