In this week's tutorial, I will show you 3 different DIY Vase Ideas you can create using plaster of Paris, Chalk paint, furniture glaze and salt wash on clear glass vases. Also, see how I chalk painted a jewelry cabinet with adding saltwash texture to chalk paint. Let me know what next DIY/Furniture project you are interested in seeing me make a tutorial on! Hi!! :). How do you create the saltwash? Is it just salt in a cup that you blend with the chalk paint? Thank you in advance!! I just loovvveee your beautiful work :)
I would love to see some wall treatments, decorations, etc. I haven't been able to watch some of your videos, so, please, excuse me, if I haven't seen a video about this. I will get to watching all of your videos, someday.
I just can't thank you enough, for sharing your wonderful talent with us. You teach me something, in each video, that just amazes me. Your painting technique will come in handy with the projects that I want to do. That jewelry armoire is gorgeous. It looks like it is very old. The vases are gorgeous, too.
Christina, just discovered you a few days ago and have been marathon-watching since‼️ Finally, someone who has the voice that is so soothing as well as encouraging! Someone diversified and instructs so you absolutely believe you can finger crochet when you’re dialectic, thank you! Painting walls with hall paint, with a brush no less! Who knew!!! And your husband and cut aways to your four-legged family… oh I feel like I’ve won the lottery 🤸♂️🤸♂️🤸♂️ Thank you and keep up your awesome work! We need you💛 Jody Westfall🫠
Hi Jody! Welcome to the channel glad you are enjoying the channel!! No worries about spell check!! I has changed a few words for me as well!! See you on Saturday!! ❤️🎨🙏
You are my go-to girl. I love that you talk without hesitating after every word, that you don't exaggerate too much energy, that you talk softly, that you don't hurry, that you don't speed up the film so I can't see what the heck you are doing, in short, you are my go to girl. I love that second cup of coffee with you. Thank you for teaching and doing it in such a phenomenal way.
You have the most beautiful calming therapeutic voice providing us with such creative therapeutic techniques to achieve these lovely outcomes, ie, a glass flower vase to old distressed pottery, or one vase that actually looked like mango wood. I have a lineup of unused, stored away vases that I am so anxious to explore your plaster of Paris techniques. Thank you for this new option, for I have watched so many DIY on UA-cam, but they all mix baking soda with acrylic or latex paint (nice), but I really love your procedure. Especially your chosen colors of chalk paint base and then applying the different glazes. Absolutely my favorite. You are so creative and thank you for sharing.
I look at some people to beautify our nest, and almost every time it's very average as an answer but yours is always always OK yes go! Ibelieve in you! Thank you for saving our evenings🧡
11pm and I falling asleep with your soothing voice. Beautiful vases. I'll try your technique in two large lamps that I convert into vases cutting the top part with a very inexpensive dremel from harbor freights
if you will add glue with p. o. p that will make it much stronger as plaster breaks very easily and if you want your plaster not to dry fast add in vinegar or lemon this way you can slow down the drying process btw the old look on vases looked amazing
Wow you remind me of my grandmother she was very good with a cray pot to make with mud from the village in Zambia very close to my granny with her thank you for reminding me of her doing this like a calling I remember used to do it and we could go and fetch water with it and cook with it thank you so much my name is winfred
upps...😀wasn’t finished and hit send 🤦♀️😆 I meant the vase looks almost like wood! Fantastic! I learn so much from you Christina and I really appreciate how much time you must be spending to show how to do it! Again Thank you! And you live in a beautiful place!

Hello 👋iv accidentally stumbled upon your channel today and thought I would watch and see .... oh my goodness what beautiful painting and vases, I felt very relaxed with your soft voice and no loud music or unnecessary chit chat about nothing in particular that I find annoying with other channels, I end up either fast forwarding or turning sound off! But you nailed it all with this video, I watched it all facsinated with your blending skills! The project at the end is absolutely stunning your creativity is second to none! So I wanted you to know how amazed I was watching you paint, and very relaxing too! Iv subscribed today, looking forward to seeing all your other videos. Christina, greetings from hot sunny Australia! I have so yearned to visit beautiful Canada and I love seeing your views. Wow, I missed this post, and only saw it last night, The pottery is stunning and I can't wait to try these techniques, Don't know what I will do with all my restyled vases and pots, but they have kept my head above water during lockdown. LOVE LOVE LOVE these pots, they look so genuine. Also your calm voice is so soothing....keep it coming lady. Stay warm and healthy.
These are the nicest dupe vases I’ve seen online. Your technique of using plaster of Paris & then watering down the paints achieved a very rustic yet sophisticated look. Not sure I would have chosen gloss finish.
Preciosas tus obras, cargadas de buen gusto, personalidad y sensibilidad. Además de tener una técnica perfecta. Muchas gracias por compartir tus conocimientos. 🙏💖
I love listening to your voice too! So relaxing and soothing. Excellent for your DIY projects. I also love your instructions. Very easy to follow and I download those to refer back to.Thank you for all of your techniques! You are the best instructor on UA-cam by far.
Hi Christina!!!! I could see that the vase would’ve been a masterpiece as soon as you got the plaster of Paris on. Thanks for sharing as always. Hope y’all have a blessed weekend darlings ♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🏽
I’m totally speechless. The vases are gorgeous and I will try this method after the holidays FOR SURE. The armoire’s new look is awesome 👏👍🎄😘🎅🏻🤶💫✨⛄️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have an old ginger jar lamp, and I have sanded the glaze off, and I was just going to start painting it, but I think I want to try the plaster of paris over it, to make little imperfections. I have an old plastic urn, it is a beautiful shape. I sanded it, and spray painted it, but I want to make it look more authentic, too. It is going to be my practice piece.
Sorry I apologize I did not finish that, just wanted to say that this is my first video from you that I've watched and I'm very inspired by your work, I also do the same and look forward to watching many more to learn, beautiful work you do!
I have a vase like that which iI was going to throw it out. Your video enthused me to keep it and renew it. I liked your style being a tutor myself. Very inspiring thank you. You have given me confidence
My favorite was the 3rd vase! It looks like wood! Excellent application! Love your ideas and the rope was a great accent to add on.... You inspire me, thank you for sharing your talent I’ve learned so much from you...

"Off the charts cool" as usual Christine! So over all I love it all! The variety is awesome bc during these colder months I can work on these smaller "pieces/ideas". Most things I have on hand and can tackle new techniques then! I'm also pumped to follow your knitting tutorials for the blankets, hats, pumpkins etc... I really appreciate and love your ideas!! Hope you are enjoying your new house and look forward to seeing more of that! Patty

Plaster of Paris gives a very organic look. I love watching videos using materials like this, clay, dirt - it is intriguing.
if you will add glue with p. o. p that will make it much stronger as plaster breaks very easily and if you want your plaster not to dry fast add in vinegar or lemon this way you can slow down the drying process btw the old look on vases looked amazing
