I appreciate the video it helped me repair the nintendo switch lite I had purchased with broken controllers and the person said they messed up the screen after attempting to fix the analogs I put the main board in a known good housing had same issue sound and no video I ordered the little controllers from digikey they were for nintendo switch but worked fine in the switch lite I need the reball stencil now. I seen a switch for 30 dollars but has a blue screen will look at your videos to see if I can purchase and fix thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge
Awesome!👍 I had this exact problem. I had a bit of a time using my hot air station...a cap moved, and had a hard time soldering it back on. Other than that, it turned out perfect. Thank you!!👍
Working on same thing now. Replaced the backlight ic and the max ic and have had a new connector sitting next to it for a few days going on next which should hopefully restore power to the daughter board and back light again.
Espero respuesta saludos gracias
Mine is having a issue, the screen will light up and i can hear the stuff on the screen but the picture itself isn't coming in, i dont know whats causing it
You are an absolute GENIUS!!!! I took off the yellow strip and unplugged the battery. I waited 30 seconds plugged everything back and i can see my screen now! 🫶🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The whole connector has to be replaced. That flap is very important and it gives a pressure on the pins inside of the connector and thank of that it creates connection.
Same thing happened to me. Can I reach the white piece or replace it? Or do I have to solder a whole new piece? Some one said they used double sided foam tape?
Can anyone help me with OLED version? Same symptoms. No picture, but working touch screen, sound etc. Also when connected to external display using type c cable everything works. Inspected display connector and whole board. no signs of damaged ics.
@digipimp75 No i tried a new screen and still no picture but has sound. I'm going to replace the max77620h chip on board. I watched a video on northridge fix UA-cam channel and he had the same issue replaced the chip and image came back on.
@@rm4213 Thanks for the reply. I just tested my board in another known working system and the backlight works, so it looks like the mainboard is fine. I tried switching out the daughter boards and long flex cables too but no change. Going to try a replacement screen
Do you have a business repairing? If so can people mail you repairs? I have a switch lite with the same problem you can head sounds but no display. Just had the charger port replaced and now this. Screen did work before the port was replaced.
Hello, I want to ask so I dont play my switch for 6 month then today when I want to play it, the screen show black red and white line, then turn off after that there's sound but blank screen, so its my lcd or the cable?
If it's the Switch Lite you need to check the ribbon tape which goes from the motherboard to the second board. On the second board there are buttons and few connectors. One of them is the backlight connector so you should check it first.
Hey I'm back again. So I did my third switch lite back light repair. I do have a display now but I'm only getting it to go up to roughly 35% brightness (15v on circuit.) I also have no input when pushing left on d pad. I saw you have to replace a connector again because the one you used had a missing pin which caused your d pad to do the damet. I'm using brand new connectors. I've swapped daughter boards, ribbon cables etc. Any ideas on what you think may be the issue? Also replaced the back light controller ic just to cancel that from the equation on the brightness issue. Thanks!
@@tvpartsworld806 lol yea I hooked up a spare screen I had and laid it on the back of the board. Same result. Never seen this issue before once getting the back light going. May just have to take some shots in the dark now with certain things. My buddy there lives over in the UK and does repairs told me to try a M92 next. Never seen the M92 correspond with the backlight circuit ever but wouldn't hurt to try. Said he actually fixed a lite once by changing it.

Thanks to you I got the idea to just reflux the area before purchasing those chips and it began working again. Just 25 seconds at 350 and boom!

reseat your flex cables, the backlight working usually means that one of the flex cables isnt connected well

Hey, my touchscreen stopped working after a reshell but everything else is fine. Any idea what it could be? Switch lite
I just replaced my joysticks for my lite and one of the safety strip locks broke should I take it to the shop

How much would you say this costs to be fixed?
Hate doing fpc connectors. Been doing a few back light connectors on lites lately.

Hi. I would try this motherboard with different screen first. 15volts is a bit too low. It should be 18v-21v when the backlight is on
