An expensive but worthy lession for the youngster. You don’t spend 100% of your ability in every single ball of the match, you gotta learn when to quit the ball to save stamina for the whole match.
On the other hand, Novak was like “you wanna run save every ball? Don’t worry, I gotchu!”. Brutal ball hittings all over the court afterwards…

True. No tennis player has had as much achievements and been spewed hate upon as much as Nole. The more this happens, the more he wins. Ultimately, when he hangs his racquet, people will still be against him. I say this as a Federer fan that while Fed was artistic, Nole is clinical. Carlos probably was trying too hard in an attempt to win and prove that his victory at the USO was no flash in the pan. Playing against Djoko, one should be prepared to expect the worst even while playing at one's best.

If Novak doesn't inspire you to work hard on yourself, then nobody else will. He's not a machine. He's very careful about his diet, his sleep, his training, his flexibility, his schedule. Early in his career, he would occasionally gas-out in some big matches. He put in the work, and learned how to optimize every component of being a champion. Many people dislike him for whatever reason. They really should be looking to him to learn how to be a champion in life! Alcaraz is a great player. Explains why he didn't want to take a novel vaccine then, that has now been proved to have side effects that can be very damaging. For an athlete in his prime with huge amounts of vitamin D protection, I'm quite sure he made the right choice - especially as we now know those vaccines don't significantly stop people spreading the virus (which of course is now endemic anyway as it was clear it would become a long time before they banned him from entire countries).

Djokovic is such an intelligent player.. that’s what makes him so difficult to beat - he really knows how to play the odds. Look at 0:22, he moves up to the middle when he sees Carlos is going to get the drop shot, then anticipates that he’ll return it short, he then gets there and knows to control it deep and low so it gives him more time, whilst he’s already moving back to the middle to cover the final ball. After having 23 Grand Slams, Djokovic is the number 1 player of all time. Looking at him against Alcaraz, no one would think that Alcaraz is 16 years younger than Djonkovic. Before the game, many people were wrong to rate Alcaraz higher than Djonkovic. In this match, Djonkovic played at a higher level than Alcaraz and deserved to win.

Novak has been treating his body and soul better than any other tennis player, better than most people. First two sets were intense for both. Carlos was pushing his body more than he could handle. Novak was also on the edge, but right there we can see what treatment each one of these champions are giving to their bodies. Novak has learnt that over the years, and Carlos needs to recognize when to slow. It is incredible what kind shots he manages to return into opponents field, but to be honest I dont think all of them matters that much. He is like that fastest dog in the park who will always catch the ball first even though he might break his own neck catching it :D
Maybe that was part of Novak's tactic, to try exhaust him as much as he can.
Huge respect for Carlos for not surrendering, and walking over. He didnt want to diminish Novak's apparent victory, even though it feels like it is diminished with this outcome.
As every other tennis fan, I was hoping to see 5 hours battle, and Carlos is not quite there yet. He is demolishing pretty much every other player on tour within 3 hours TOP. But not Novak. And that is the reason why this victory Novak should celebrate like it lasted 5 hours.
    Cheers everyone!

Hey, listen up, French Open UA-cam channel! I am beyond infuriated with the way you've handled the Djokovic vs. Alcaraz match highlights! Are you kidding me? Three measly minutes of footage for a match that was an absolute tennis masterpiece? This is an outrage!
I watched that match with bated breath, witnessing one of the most awe-inspiring displays of tennis in recent history. The intensity, the skill, the pure genius on that court deserved to be showcased in all its glory. But what do you do? You give us a pathetic 3-minute highlight reel that barely scratches the surface of the greatness we witnessed.
Do you have any idea how disappointing that is? We fans were hungry for a thorough and immersive recap of the match, craving the breathtaking rallies, the mind-boggling shot-making, and the exhilarating back-and-forth battle. Instead, we get a haphazard compilation of random points that fails to capture the essence of the match.
What were you thinking, French Open? How could you deprive us of the chance to relive those spine-tingling moments? This match deserved better, and we deserved better as devoted fans. We waited anxiously to immerse ourselves in the brilliance of Djokovic and Alcaraz, only to be handed a paltry, inadequate highlight reel.
I demand that you rethink your approach and rectify this injustice. Give us the full highlights, the complete picture of the epic clash that unfolded on that court. Anything less is an insult to the players, their monumental efforts, and the fans who passionately support them.
So, French Open UA-cam channel, get your act together, pull yourself up by the bootstraps, and do justice to this historic match. Give us the comprehensive highlight reel we deserve, one that captures every heart-stopping moment, every stroke of genius, and every ounce of the indomitable spirit that was on display.
This is not a request; it's a demand. The tennis world is watching, and we won't settle for anything less than what this match truly deserves. Time to step up and deliver!

Thirdly, those that qualify to be judged as amongst the best must have entered enough tournaments and won enough times to qualify. Both have entered an incredibly high amount of Grand slams, easily enough grandslam tournaments for their % to be." representative.", so that box is also checked.

@@Danyluk111 what is other way around? He has a point, every point was Djokovic attacks and Carlos trying to stay in game and trying to find a moment when Noles attack is a short or weak ball to counter attack. His body couldn't manage all those attacks
