Finally, the true successors to the Fedal rivalry (nothing against Djoko, I am a big 3 fan); the variety of shotmaking from both Carlos and Jannik is incredible and oh boy, what a drama this was! Lovely! Jannik’s appearance and forehand remind me of Berdych, however a better version, upgraded with Murray/Djoko impeccable counterattacks/defense; Carlos’s backhand reminds me of Agassi, however he has the grit and agility similar to Rafa, his forehand is almost as powerful as Fernando Gonzalez’s one and he can occasionally produce some Federer-like magic such as drop shots, half volleys etc.
for the first 30 matches of the "Fedal rivalry", despite the rose-tinted glasses it wasn't much of a rivalry as Nadal won matches at a 2 to 1 ratio and Federer never even once in his career won more than 1 set off Nadal at Roland Garros and got hammered 14-2 on clay by him overall. It took "so-called prime Federer" 7 whole years to get just 8 wins off Nadal 2004-2010.
On clay and maybe grass, but I don't see him be as effective on faster hard courts (second half of the season), especially due to his height, I feel on faster surfaces he can't compensate for shorter wingspan with speed. Sascha, Jannick, Medvedev have such long arms! Don't get me wrong, he can still beat those guys, but its a much more dicy affair. Djokovic is actually a better match for him on hard courts because he doesn't hit has hard as Jannik does.
@@nikoseufert3187 this is what I said, he can beat these guys but it is a more dicy affair. Also he best them on slower hard courts, not the faster ones from the second half of the season I was talking about.
If alacaraz was playing when the big 3 (4) were at their prime we would even more epic games than we already had at that golden era... There are some great new players but I think that only alacaraz could rival them.
The new Rafah and Nole rivalry? Watching this match gave me deja vu, all though I can't remember from which matches.. Nadal, Alcaraz, Moya, Ferrer, Ferrero, Almagro, Bernabé Zapata, Davidovich... Fortunately, we have a bunch of good players from this country 🇪🇸🙌
Amazing match. We always love you Jannik Sinner.
Absolutely amazing tennis 🎾 Carlos congratulations 💙🌟🤩
What a match, what a pleasure to enjoy
What a wonderful match both champions sad one has to lose but it’s the name of the game both deserve cheers cheers well done Alvarado

Grande Sinner. Non ti preoccupare. Sarà per la prossima volta. Ancora complimenti. 👏🫅🇮🇹
Seguro.
Rivincita a Wimbledon ????
@@vicbs8589I think he has Roger's talent and Nadal's aggression, and I don't know what Novak is like
What a match. Congratulations to both!
Ladies and gentlemen that was the real final of Roland Garros 2024!
A game for the ages!
come on guys - that Alcaraz's shot at 5:58 gotta be contender for shot of the tournament for sure 😮 I can't believe it.
Tennis is in good hands👏👏👏👏👏
Yep Carlos is being molded into a champion, after today he will be the king
On clay and maybe grass, but I don't see him be as effective on faster hard courts (second half of the season), especially due to his height, I feel on faster surfaces he can't compensate for shorter wingspan with speed. Sascha, Jannick, Medvedev have such long arms! Don't get me wrong, he can still beat those guys, but its a much more dicy affair. Djokovic is actually a better match for him on hard courts because he doesn't hit has hard as Jannik does.
Alcaraz beat sinner on hard court already and zverev too🤣@@pureffm
@@nikoseufert3187 this is what I said, he can beat these guys but it is a more dicy affair. Also he best them on slower hard courts, not the faster ones from the second half of the season I was talking about.
@@pureffmIn my opinion, his serve is already better than Nadal's and it was at least as good as Sinner's yesterday.
Greetings
Well, he has a US Open already....@@pureffm
Can safely say with these 2, the future of tennis is very bright indeed.
If alacaraz was playing when the big 3 (4) were at their prime we would even more epic games than we already had at that golden era... There are some great new players but I think that only alacaraz could rival them.
The matches between these two!!! 😲
Partido increible y vaya golpes, maravilloso CARLITOS 💕💕💕💕💕
Congrats Both🙏
The new tenis star, Alcaraz is writing his own history and we are witnessing it.
THE match of the year!!! One big celebration for tennis!!!
Forza Jan💪
sinner is a grear guy. alcaraz will be a legend of this sport .
Total
both are genial playing, what a spectacle
You can hear from the commentary how good this match was
The new Rafah and Nole rivalry? Watching this match gave me deja vu, all though I can't remember from which matches..
Alcaraz is clearly the artist of the two, and Sinner is the more mechanical player. It feels more extraordinary watching Alcaraz somehow. His technique is incredible. But Sinner also feels predictably more stable over time. Alcaraz still does not have the same consistency.
In this match though there can be no excuses. Both seemed to struggle a little bit with nagging injuries but Alcaraz was just that little bit better today.
More like Fedal based on these two players.
@@Glatroz Not really considering that for the first 30 matches of the "Fedal rivalry", despite the rose-tinted glasses it wasn't much of a rivalry as Nadal won matches at a 2 to 1 ratio and Federer never even once in his career won more than 1 set off Nadal at Roland Garros and got hammered 14-2 on clay by him overall. @@huzcer Nadal is the best clay court player in history and the courts were different back then. If it weren't for Nadal, Federer would most likely be considered the best clay court player. No rose-tinted glasses here.
@@Glatroz the h2h Alcaraz - Sinner is 5-4, not 10-4 and they went to a deciding 5th set at Roland Garros. What courts were different and what effect did it have on Federer vs Nadal on clay. Federer publicly called Nadal "one-dimensional" then later said "on clay you don't need a serve or a volley, it's too easy"... Mmmm there are a fair few players with better records vs Nadal on clay than Federer.
