They already can't be separated. One is necessary to the other's success, and - injuries notwithstanding - they will go neck and neck for the next ten years in a wonderful rivalry. Didn't expect Sinner to be so close to Alcaraz today, considering how they got to this match, just a confirmation that they bring the best out of each other, and a prologue for great things to come!

Has absolute madness numbers, and check his H2H against any relevant player, even generations younger than him. Do you realize he has positive H2H against ALL TOP 15 ATP players currently, including Zverev, Alcaraz, Rune, Sinner, Tsitsipas, Ruud, Medvedev... Do you realize how absurd that is? Who the fuck cares if he lost couple of important matches this season? He is full 37 years old and still demolishing 12-15 years younger top 30 players with one leg on freaking clay. Nobody cares if he stumbled one bad season.

What mental toughness-Sinner leading set and a break and playing brilliantly, slowly finding a way to fin. Amazing lobs-I don't remember any player doing them as well as Carlos-or drop shots. Congratulations to Carlos on his third GS Final and Jannik on his No.1. Applauding your opponent when he is leaving the court-great sign of respect. Sinner just seemed to struggle physically today at one point. Should be a great final whoever he plays. Men's semi final longer than both women's semi finals combined (equal prize money).

Finally, the true successors to the Fedal rivalry (nothing against Djoko, I am a big 3 fan); the variety of shotmaking from both Carlos and Jannik is incredible and oh boy, what a drama this was! Lovely! Jannik’s appearance and forehand remind me of Berdych, however a better version, upgraded with Murray/Djoko impeccable counterattacks/defense; Carlos’s backhand reminds me of Agassi, however he has the grit and agility similar to Rafa, his forehand is almost as powerful as Fernando Gonzalez’s one and he can occasionally produce some Federer-like magic such as drop shots, half volleys etc.

On clay and maybe grass, but I don't see him be as effective on faster hard courts (second half of the season), especially due to his height, I feel on faster surfaces he can't compensate for shorter wingspan with speed. Sascha, Jannick, Medvedev have such long arms! Don't get me wrong, he can still beat those guys, but its a much more dicy affair. Djokovic is actually a better match for him on hard courts because he doesn't hit has hard as Jannik does.

Alcaraz is clearly the artist of the two, and Sinner is the more mechanical player. It feels more extraordinary watching Alcaraz somehow. His technique is incredible. But Sinner also feels predictably more stable over time. Alcaraz still does not have the same consistency.
