wow! how I remember it. Nice and quiet. Able to go to characters without a line. Now its so damn packed even on a work day off season. R.I.P. 80's-90's Disneyland.
Also the prices were reasonable back in the 80's 40 bucks for a family of 4. Today it 100 + dollars for 1 person per day. I may need to get 2 bank loans, 2 full time jobs, do 3 months worth of Plasma donating, and a gofundme page just so I can go back to Disney World....😭
As a kid of the 80s i dreamed of going to Disneyland back in those days.. finally made it to Disneyland in 2014 i nearly cried when i saw the Disneyland sign Haha
excellent video, wish it was an hour longer! you captured some great old attraction, especially the skyway and peoplemover (with solid colors). on main street we saw the tobacconist shop. yes they used to sell tobacco products in disneyland. also a glimpse at the entrance to "pirates" before they built the bridge. i loved going to the park back then. it seemed less hectic, and more family friendly than it is today.
This shows the stage that comes up next to the hamburger restaurant. the rock ship next to that was the very first (ride) erected . now its all gone. Cable cars and people mover as well
Disneyland at its absolute best!

This is priceless. Thank you.
Great to see the PeopleMover and Rocket Jets and the Skyway and the original Submarine Voyage - thank you!
When Tomorrowland was truly "A World on the Move."

I grew up between Disneyland and knots. I wish I would have went way more then i did. The ticket books were in use then
I loved many of the attractions they lost, but I also love many of the traditions they've gained. Disneyland, you rocked in 1984 and you rock now.
excellent, thank you for posting. I went August 1984 at 4 years old. It was good to reconnect my mind with what I saw at 4.

The best part was the end where you guys took footage inside Submarine Voyage Journey thru Liquid Space!
My god. This is like stepping into a holodeck. Very very cool!
P.S. I completely want to buy the Peoplemover car that is up for sale right now.
I would rather have the haunted mansion and pirate s of the carribean animatronic heads also in the sale.
I went to Walt Disney World a year later in 1985.
FYI...disneyland is in "ORANGE COUNTY". ..NOT in los Angeles !!
Good days when you didn't have to.wait in line for almost an hour yo see Mickey
