- I try to beat Elden Ring and all its bosses, but since there are too many bosses I decided that taking down all that have a Remembrance was enough, using only fist weapons, even though it probably isn't a good idea. This challenge run should be doable, since fist weapons are still weapons and for sure someone will beat the game with fist only
I didn't know if a tutorial video or a challenge video that assumes you know the game was better, so I did a bit of both.

I believe what counts as below the belt (using a definition of unfair) for the royal ancestor spirit would be for him to have boxing gloves on all of his horns. Though he has no hands and thus no way to wear gloves having one for each horn would provide him with an unfair advantage, a deers horns are sharp are would likely poke through the boxing gloves goring it’s opponent. I propose the deer have his gloves over his front hooves, as not only does this give it twos gloves as opposed to how many are used for one for each horn but it makes the fight more fair for both participants thus making it no longer under the belt for the gloves. However that is only one of many issues presented with the idea of the royal ancestor spirit boxing. What first comes to mind is the weight for the heavyweight class, surprisingly there is no upper limit though this may change when presented with a deer that weighs over 3 tons. An actual issue presented is with fouls, considering the royal ancestor spirits hooves are so large how can it guarantee no fouls with punching behind the ears or below the navel? Second is the most pressing issue, no kicking. It’s hooves are legs so each “punch” is actually a kick meaning repeated fouls to disqualification. Third is that boxers are supposed to listen to the referee’s decisions. Can a deer understand human language? No it can’t, meaning unless the referee doesn’t speak at all it is another list of fouls caused by it. I could go on and on but the main point is though moving the gloves would in theory remove it being below the belt many other issues cause a deer boxing to break the rules of boxing and thus keep it below the belt. As an elden ring enjoyer, I fully agree to your comment, it clears up the problem with deers in the sport of boxing. An argument you could have included is the size of the boxing ring. huge rings would need to be made for this specific deer, which would be have a huge impact on the fight itself, due to a normal boxer or boxer deer not having the same amount of stamina as this deer. you could have also included that this deer is special. what I mean by that is that the magical powers it has, it could have even stronger hits (kicks ( which isn't allowed in boxing)). It could technically be called cheating as their opponent, doesn't have that skill. it could however be possible that the referee would allow it, if the opponent deer or human also has magical strength that is similar to the royal ancestor spirit's magic. another factor is the healing ability it has, it would be very unfair if your opponent magically heals their wounds from your hits. That is why it should be banned from deer and normal boxing.
Your comment truly shows the flaws of deer boxing, which inspires boxing experts and gamers to think of solutions for this concerning topic, that deers cant participate in boxing,

You brought to light things I hadn’t thought of and I greatly appreciate your input on this topic. The deers healing factor is in fact very solid reasoning to ban him from boxing alongside the other problems you highlight such as his magic, the size of the boxing ring, and his kicks. I greatly appreciate your response as it has helped with the problems the deer faces in boxing.

Hey, if you want to improve the bleeding on a weapon that already has bleed then the occult infusion is better than the bleed one, bleed infusion overwrite the base bleed buildup of a weapon and it reduces more damages than the occult infusion, the occult infusion doesn't overwrite the base bleed and it adds the arcane scaling which gives you bleed scaling too and the damage reduction is not as harsh, I hope you can know this as it can be helpful
if you have low arcane its actually better to just go for a bleed infusion since Occult benefits greatly from your arcane scaling while bleed is just more bleed

Pro tip for any playthrough: Stock up on gold chicken feet. The rune payouts from the endgame bosses are insane, and if you pop one just after you land the final blow, that's an extra 30% runes.
And u get a bit more with golden scarab
Fun fact: Royal Knights Resolve counts a 2h first attack (or any weapon that duplicates when you two hand it) as one attack, so the buff will apply to both your right and left hand attacks
The moose would put the shorts on his lower body and the boxing gloves on the forefeet - in my opinion! :D
i think the double damage is intended, when i ran powerstance colossal greatswords i got that double tick whenever both of the swords' hitboxes actually connected. you didn't get it much in this run because fists have such dogshit range that only one hitbox connects on most attacks
It's not much the short range, it's that bosses have shit hitboxes
Did you really think that dual wielding weapons would only give one tick of dmg but combined? This has nothing to do with double hits of fist weapons.

nice! I used the star fists for most late-game bosses on my first run, the range sucks but the cool factor compensates for it, lol
I mean it’s really good if you get aggressive and get good at dodging and punishing
@@aben1466 sometimes with fist weapons, good play is punished by having your swings just straight up miss despite you being as close as you possibly can, though. when it works, they're fun, but the hit boxes are too unreliable.
21:30 Frost can happen again right away, if you hit them with a fire weapon once
People often look at fist weapons and think they are just worse claw weapons. However, Fists are bugged and you have a chance of having both weapons hitting twice. (I believe it is because both fists hitting two times on a jump attack due to hit box issues) So you get four hits, for one jump attack. I could be wrong) Also, they are generally faster than claws and usually deal better poise.

I just finished my first playthrough of eldenring and I did a fist only playthrough. I didn't realize just how terrible the hithoxes were until I started my new playthrough and I feel like I can hit enemies from miles away.

This is the first time i've ever seen regal spirit heal. I always kill it too fast

The double hit can happen with any Jumping attack, very powerful with larger weapons, normally, an attack is only supposed to hit a Hurt Box once per enemy. But if say, your enemy starts or ends an Animation, it becomes a new Hurt Box and you can hit multiple times, with Collosal Greatswords, you can hit 3-4 times if you are lucky or know the animations. Very easy way to kill any large enemies like Rhadahn and Elden Beast.
I did my f it at run off Elden ring with the star fists, which was a decent change since I’d always use big bit swords in other fromsoft games. But I’ve gotta say it was a very fun change of pace. Very annoying hit boxes, but good fun if you’re willing to put up with that

Also, IDK if it's still valid as I've had my fists playthrough last summer, BUT if you get the Caestus AND Star Fist (both wielded in either hand instead of dual-wielding one of them), infuse one with Cold, the other with Fire, they both retain their bleed build-up, possibly proccing both Frostbite and Blood Loss for 2 percentage-based damage types, and as soon as you hit the enemy withthe fire-infused weapon after Frosbite procced, you remove it and can start to reapply it again. Makes short work of those bosses who are not immune to either of these and helps with ones which are immune to one or the other.
13:55 Remember to use Occult infusion on weapons with inherent bleed or poison! All of the buildup and a ton more damage

why number 4, the moose on the top right, is my favourite moose.
-an examination of what is below the belt
to even the odds with a human, I imagine the moose standing up in a upright position. I will be using the rules of kickboxing, as this moose tends to kick using its hind legs, although it doesn’t differ - by my knowledge - from regular boxing in the sense that no blows below the belt are allowed. below the belt refers to all the area below the navel, including genitals and legs. luckily, most mammals have navels, and moose are no exceptions. the regal ancestor spirit can be compared to a regular moose. the genital area of a moose is close to its hind legs, so, imagining the regal ancestor spirit T-posing, below the belt should be roughly where its rib cage ends.
-boxing gloves on the antlers, how would it work?
ignoring the lopsided weight and height class in the moose’s favour, the antlers should definitely be equipped with boxing gloves. boxing gloves are protective, and cushion the blow. since moose cannot actually adhere to boxing rules for many reasons, the convention of gloves going on hands needs to be altered for this specific case to work. should the moose, accidentally or otherwise, go for a headbutt, this will soften the blow, as well as preventing puncturing, giving the moose essentially a knife in a fistfight.
-a closer look at the moose’s groin
going back to the T-pose, the moose has a clearly defined crotch region. and while the moose primarily moves around on all fours, should you compare it to humans, its hind legs share the most similarities with our legs, and its front legs share the most similarities with our arms. looking at usage in combat, if a moose uses it front legs, it will do so in a trampling motion, with an intent to crush. this is more akin to a punch than how it uses its hind legs, which it will fling backwards delivering a clearly defined kick. as we don’t equip our own feet with boxing gloves, I don’t think the moose should wear boxing gloves on its hind legs either.
with this reasoning in mind, the regal ancestor moose in the top right best matches what a boxing moose should be equipped with.

Wait, the spiked caestus is it's own special weapon and can be infused???
For whatever reason, it never twigged for me that spiked wasn't the name for a blood infusion (despite running dual blood infused dismounters for 20 hours)

Honestly, having made a fist build, They're not horrible. Sure the Caestus and Iron Ball don't have great range, but they do solid damage and have pretty great scaling. If you use the Pata, you're either a faith build who wants another option with no extra weight or you're an idiot. And the Katar are honestly just good in general. Pretty good damage, best range in the category, solid moveset(especially after 1.08 update), and solid choices for AoW. Though I will never know why you can't put its original AoW back on for different scaling. Ah well.
