I try to beat Dark Souls 3 and all its bosses without rolling, meaning that I basically have no way to dodge attacks. Well about that last thing, I think you'll have to watch the video. This challenge run should be doable, since it is dark souls we are talking about and there is almost always a way to get out of a hard challenge, even without rolling, but we'll see if I am able to do it
I will also beat all the bosses and the dlc , obviously without rolling
I didn't know if a tutorial video or a challenge video that assumes you know the game was better, so I did a bit of both.

This challenge run was hard, but still fun to do and I hope funny and entertaining.

you can jump without rolling by letting go of the forward stick right after you start jumping. you'll just stop with a little stumble

It’s a decently tight input though, kinda tricky to do even if you know of the mechanic. May be too risky to try in a run like this with such tight rules

Answer: Quickstep.
blocking can also trivialise the challenge.
casting magic shield on an 82+ stability shield means you can block without losing any stamina. it also prevents 30% of shield chip damage.
same for great magic shield at 65+ but it has half the duration, and requires 18 int (instead of 10). it does prevent ALL shield chip damage though.

This mad lad is about to pull out a "Dark Souls 3, no walking" before Ymfah at this rate.
If all goes as planned it will come out in late january/early february, but it's exam season for me so I'm not 100% sure about dates

You can force the Nameless King’s lock on lighting strike attack by looking in the other direction with him off screen. Fun glitch in his AI

Hey man, great video as always. A questions here, did you try the damage output of sharp twindaggers? It seems to me that it combines best of the two worlds, quickstep WA with an L1 double weapon hit to cleave mobs. I doubt the damage multiplier from ripostes would be lower but it would've saved you from swapping weapons constantly. Then again, it cannot match the dps of sellswords.
honestly the dps of the twindaggers is pretty good, it’s basically the winblades but with less range. quickstepping around every boss would kinda defeat the purpose of the video though

I found interesting the way you approached this challenge. Fun fact for the others reading, against the Nameless King you can actually dodge his range shockwave attack by using Gael's sword WA, that makes you just over the wave and guarantees immortality frames.
I've never tried first-hand, but I guess it might also work with Artoria's.

Running while rotating the camera and holding the Controller like you showed was just a normal thing for me. I didnt know there are people out there that are not doing this. Now I feel like a weirdo, thanks I guess. :D

Haha my bad! I learned to use the controller like that playing console shooters because it gives you a nice edge against opponents, since there your right thumb is used to aim. I think that if you feel comfortable holding the controller like that there are only advantages, so enjoy being a more efficient gamer than all of us!
i have a broken controller that can no longer activate the right face button (wonder how that happened) so i did a run like this, and by far the most difficult part of not having that button at all is menu navigation
be VERY careful not to softlock yourself in the pause menu lol

No equip load is harder bc here you can just quick step and spam attack to win
@Adrian L'orologiaio bare fists are good and you can level vigor and dex and strength so it's easy

I think you should've looked into using the Great Magic Shield spell. It makes shields absorb all damage and most shields can get 100 stability. I think it would've made a lot of stuff easier, being able to block just about anything
i think the dagger crit damage is based on AR, so it will do more damage if you infused it with fire/deep. i love these dark souls runs man, it amazes me how much effort you put into them :)

Hey man love the videos!! I have a quick question out of all the pure caster classes that you played whick one had the most damage output? Im going to be doing a ng+ and wanted to try the caster that had the highest damage
Sorcerer, godly against everyone against deacons or sage, and if you don’t want to be pure caster you can kill them with any melee weapon pretty easily

@@acurioustoast161 Miracles are really good sometimes. In reality, Noone is really resistant to magic or weak to it other than bosses that use it. Those bosses can be countered with twisted wall of light.

I’ve started a character with this sort of challenge in mind, except it’s more focus on blocking. Specifically it’s a shield and spear character, no dodging

ds3 is all about rolling. Yes, you can parry, and block/guard and use hyper armor and it is kinda good in certain situations. But rolling is King (not talking about pvp), not even close. So this video sparks my interest. 🤔🤗

Do a fire damage only run (it's just a slightly more broad pyro run) (ps I don't care if you use storm ruler on yhorm since he is fireproof
