My favorite part about spectating cheaters is the fact that I think “oh his positioning isn’t terrible I see it a lot” then I realize I’m bronze -20 and these are gm games
Most of the time, the level of game sense is what gives a cheater away. Not the aim

Blizzard when people rage hack/ddos the servers: thats ok you did good, how else are you supposed to beat people who are better than you
Not even swearing, you can not play for like 60 days and leave 2 games to get instantly perma banned for another 50 days.
Happened to me where I got horrid teammates in 1 game, had a very bad game in another. Come back and I'm perma banned the entire season.
So imagine that now I'm having to sit out 2 seasons and only 50% of it is my fault lol.

@@ladyperegrine1801 The report system isnt broken in this way anymore, it used to be until they changed it so being reported multiple times over a long period is weighted much harder than being reported a lot once. I've said some toxic stuff but only once or twice and never even got a silence. If you're being banned it means you're toxic multiple times over a longer period.
The fact that he said “yeah I put you in my games” to super makes me feel he just has blizzard immunity

If someone as well known as flats can spectate an obvious cheater, that he has spectated on previous occasion, and that player has STILL not been banned, what hope is there?
And yet people still keep shoveling their money right into Blizzard's pockets. Blizz won't start doing the right thing on this sort of stuff, or anything really, until we all make them start going broke until they fix their ways. They're run by greed, and they so far have zero reason or incentive to make any real effort to do right by the community...........

got silenced for 13 days, I never was toxic. I might've asked some lucio to swap because they weren't doing much here and there but that's all. Not even in an insulting way

the only thing i can really think of with that is the menu makers might've figured out the report coding and how to surpress it when OW dropped on steam. that is a thing that rockstar mod menus can do and then some. for example, the Fortitude mod for Red Dead not only will surpress the report, but aslo boot the player that reported from the session you are in.

It's wild to me how this is getting more and more common. I literally just got out of a game where someone was doing this. If they don't stop this cheating then this game is getting to be completely unplayable. I'm not having fun anymore.
Yeppp, I’m pretty close to this point too, had a TON of the DDOS stuff at the end of last season/beginning of this one and now I’m getting cheaters even in QP at least every other game. And it’s not even the maybe kind anymore, it’s just blatant and obvious 😩

Turns out the biggest change from OW1 to OW2 is the number of cheaters running around unchecked.
It's not just top 500. It's even worse at normal human ranks. Every match has cheaters.
Thats not true, in fact theres most likely less than 10 cheaters on at a time due to their contracts

It's been happening on console too, around diamond to master i had games where they ddos to first point then all of a sudden its normal shortly after
For me it usually happens in quick play and it’ll be directly after we get first point capped
That's just even more sick if you need to DDOS on console to win

Happened to me on console as well in a couple of QP games. Why even do it in QP? Maybe testing it? This is the first time I have ever come across such blatant cheating and I’ve been playing since season 1. It’s wild that bans haven’t happened.

Isn’t it so weird that when bastion had a game breaking bug but he was pretty quickly removed from the game for like a month but when Torbjörn can crash the whole server by placing his turret it doesn’t seem like one of Blizzards Priorities.

I have been in games where we are absolutely rolling like a push of 90:0, then suddenly I’m playing on 300-400 ping and we get stomped and full pushed because I cant even see whats happening. I chalk it up to random server behaviour but in only one game? Then it’s fine again? I now treat any connection craziness on ddos antics especially when we’re winning which is usually when it happens (and well aware that these same things may happen to the enemy when we’re getting rolled then magically win)
what sucks is it is legitimately the server sometimes, and its been getting worse recently. i know most of the times it's happened to me wasnt cheaters bc it would happen multiple games in a row with different players each time and EVERYONE would be like "servers?"

The same people that allowed people to report me cos their feelings got hurt when I typed "Lol GG" in chat after I win, in QP. (I got the email to prove it) Misery loves company is what I'm believing now.
Its technically not ddos, but a server overload through specific actions done by one client that crashes it. Flats had videos showing server crashes in regular matches when a ton of stuff is going on, and if you play custom games, that is rather common to see as well. But this isnt a distributed denial of service attack. The reason they named the account such is because every streamer names it "ddosing the servers" when server starts lagging and crashes.

I think the guy confused about the UI being inverted (I’m assuming bc it took me a while to get used to it) was bc you’re spectating a red guy shooting blue, whereas all gameplay is your team is blue and you’re shooting red, so the guy was probably confused why you’re spectating red shooting blue

I've had a few matches down in plat-diamond where people will crash the server when they start to lose, and so many where they are so obviously cheating. i honestly can't believe how many cheaters there are in the game and how little bliz does to handle it.

when trying to convince chat he was cheating im surprised you didnt point out the multiple time he was full tracking the venture through the wall, like yea he could hear the venture was there but a normal player would look at the angle not the wall, or at least not be adjusting aim and tracking the ventures exact movement through the wall
I've had 2-3 ddos'ers in my gold silver/gold games in the past month.
I swear this guy was in my lower elo game a while back and and after the first 5 minutes he left and everyone (my team)but me and the other support suddenly dc’d and he came back. They never reconnected and we lost, not sure if it’s possible, but it was sus af when he was the only one still try Harding when we all agreed it was a lost game already
Last 3 days ive tried playing comp and every day ive run into multiple blatant cheaters. Spin botting, shooting sombra out of invis, and one pharah that was flick shotting
I had a match where the enemy tank lagged the match to the point I couldnt even destroy a torb turret point blank, We were rolling them, had 43 seconds left to hold and then nothing but enemy team kills for the rest of the match.
the first round and third round, I was so happy every time he got drilled by venture. Like it kept happening and the cheater never expected it every time.
Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I've been watching back games after sus desths/killcams/Potgs and had 2 games in a row in which someones aim looked "parkinsons"-y where they do about 3 circles around your body while shooting. This could just be how people play, but it eerily resembles what I see in flats videos.

@@CaptainSway ip bans wont do shit, cause if he's knows how to unban himself, then he already knows how to swap ips. not to mention he most likely runs a vpn. hardware bans are a little tougher to get around, but not by much. legal notice requires you to know the person's identity, you can't just shoot that into the void of the internet and expect it to automatically arrive at its target.
@CaptainSway IP bans do absolutely nothing. Best form of ban is a MAC/hardware ban but that can be circumvented too (though not nearly as easy as it is to get around an IP ban lmao).

Also happens in silver and gold, since I'm stuck there and have it quite a few times. So weird though we see people warping but enemy team have no problem shooting us...
the problem with too many cheaters is, that not a lot of people care about reporting, just passing it to the next player's problem

As a mostly tf2 player i know exsactly what you mean by "feeling something wrong" like i had some people that only took me 3 encounters to know 100% they are cheating but i usually tell my team so they lookout with me before actually telling the other team there is some cheating suspected

I think one of the huge things couch warriors don't consider in OW (and why they're hard stuck silver/gold) is because they don't respect at all how VITAL positioning and corners are.
The difference between gold and masters imo, is far more about positioning/corners than it is about aim. So looking for those misplays are far more telling of someone boosted or cheating/about to cheat.
There's a reason more than half of Flat's cheater review videos are rage hackers in gold or lower, and the hacker usually loses. This ain't CoD or CS, aim alone does not win the game.

i never experienced any DDOS attacks in my matches during all the years i've been playing overwatch but recently i experienced one and it was super weird. the server did not crash but it was obvious it was more than just a random latency spike that happens to me sometimes and quickly goes back to normal. the game was all weird and EVERYONE in the lobby was complaining. it started when we got more advantage over the enemy team and needless to say the attack lasted long enough for us to lose the match. this was MID GOLD btw these people have no shame
