@@evansabir1175 idk about that one I play it pretty regularly and I can hop in a solo match and for the most part no cheaters there’s cheaters in every game but the finals is pretty tame just like Fortnite there mostly cheaters in high level lobby’s but in casual it’s rare and when it does happen it’s a super cheater with god hacks that’s so outrageous I usually just speculate and laugh then get em banned if it doesn’t happen before then

"What happened to the game I love" hit me so hard. Been playing for years and last night I got so frustrated I almost cried and decided I can't play anymore. Went from everyday to once a week for 30 minutes and even that is just miserable atp and to much. Don't want to give up on the game I've played for 6 years but I can't enjoy playing it. Weird and frustrating dynamic to have with a game
If you aren’t having fun with the game, just stop playing for a while to see if anything gets fixed. If it’s causing you stress, don’t be afraid to stop. The 6 years weren’t a waste of time if you were having fun and loved the game. It’s a waste of time now if you aren’t getting any enjoyment out of the game anymore. I used to play Dead by Daylight and had over 1000 hours and spent money on it but then things changed and I stopped having fun. So I quit playing and haven’t played for over a year now and haven’t regretted it. I started playing OW more and other games I enjoy.

OMG ITS A CODE I SUBMITTED! Ok this may have been a battle to see which cheater was better but I like to think I made some good plays on Doom to get the victory haha. For context, by the last round there was some chats being sent which made it clear to both teams that we both had Hanzo cheaters. Playing Doom I didn't get killed enough by him to know for sure so I just played the game out as normal. Hope you enjoyed this one! I have another cheater code but in Masters, they had a cheating Orisa/Bap at a minimum but after the game I verified they were grouped in a 5 stack (code: 3E8AVK)

my comp the other week: tank says "these people on the other team are hackers, had them last match". Our widow says, "should i turn on my aimbot?". Tank "yes", wid "okay". Felt like a halo marine in a spartan vs spartan fight.

Why does it feel like there's several overwatch top500 streamer channels doing one, sometimes two unique "spectating cheater/s" videos daily?
In all my years of enjoying this game... This cheater epidemic might be the final straw for me
The amount of videos available spiked recently because cheaters have started cheating in quickplay too. You see them everywhere. I also think Blizzards lax enforcement of bans for cheating have caused it, too. I had a semi-blatant cheater in my qp game with a couple of friends last patch, even though we rolled him I saw that he was aiming weirdly in replays and was tracking center mass almost perfectly. Never got the confirmation that he got banned
OW1 use to be one of the most popular games to cheat in. Their use to be a website somewhere that tracked how many hacks were being downloaded for X game and OW was always top 3. So seeing OW2 have this issue isn't shocking.......still sad tho.
I mean if you think youll find respite in any other game youd be sorely mistaken... its a cheating pandemic. All over the world, in every game possible. I browsed some cheating websites to see how easy and expensive it is (shockingly easy, kinda expensive) and saw cheats FOR CHESS. The one game thats literally about pure brain power. Wtf man.
The smoking gun for me is that they hit every single shot, but can’t hit the lamp to save their life. If their aim is SO GOOD, how come they always miss the lamp? It’s a stationary object. It should be the easiest shot, not the hardest shot.

@@kaiseremotion854 I wanna be a Hanzo and Widow main. My aim is always crap and so I try to compensate with Genji or Cass. Somedays my aim is godlike and I literally play like I had cheats, hitting evey shot (body shots doe) and I also miss the lamp or the rezz, sometimes even turrets. But after the couple misses, I learn and focus more on hitting the stationary targets, and I get them more often. This cheaters are more lax on focusing to hit since they know the software will do it all for them, and NEVER hit stationary targets, let alone objects

@@AshleyRosemarry I've shot Sombra out of invis with Ashe so many times recently that I started to get worried they'd think I was cheating. My favorite ones were when I predicted where she'd end up going around a corner and one in blizzard world when I saw her translocate and figured she was going for a health pack so I squinted and went "Probably right... there" and headshot her out of invis and killed her. I was like "OHHHHHHH!! I'm not hacking I promise." I'll also easily pick Pharah out of the sky and outsnipe Widows and be like "Wow, I think my aim is getting better" but then I'll be like "Hmm... hope no one saw me take 3 shots to kill that Symmetra turret when there wasn't a fight happening..." It's like I'm getting better under pressure but worse without it. 🤔
i am convinced now. with how prevalent cheating is, across games, most of the chatters saying i see nothing wrong are just cheaters trying to gaslight the general public. i just see it as self reporting now lol
They could just be trolling, but trolls are likely to cheat so I'm inclined to agree with you. I assume cheaters are either the delusional type who believe they "deserve" a little boost, or the troll type who genuinely enjoy ruining the game for everyone else.
It could also just be little Timmy thinking that calling a blatant cheater a "good player" is hilarious and original. It stopped being funny like, 6 years ago. I know humor is subjective but I genuinely think people that find it funny at this point are huffing paint

Yep, before the hot fix patch that nerfed some of the tanks, I said "I fucking hate this patch" and got silenced for two weeks and lost my endorse level 5. I had just returned to overwatch and didn't know about the cursing thing, so when the hyper buffed tank patch came out and I started losing more and more games. EVERY game both tanks went like 37 and 2, I showed my discontent with that sentence and was silenced.
Edit: Meanwhile the next day I found a racist homophobe and it took days for him to get punished meanwhile, I was punished pretty much immediately for saying a bad word about the patch.

@@RitheTheZombie Blizzard is well known for taking immediate action against dumb shit rather than things that actually ruin their games. Look at WoW. They do ban waves every 6 months and then pat themselves on the back as the next day they get 400k "new players"

@kingofgrim4761 if you're a decent hanzo you get called out a bit. I'm p2 and get called out for hacking in qp as hanzo because I hit 2 head shots in a row or 3 body shots.

Recently I just indiscriminately reported anyone who completely dominated a lobby. Cheaters these days are so difficult to detect.
Maybe it’s just the editing, but the way flats explains how he can tell someone’s cheating makes a lot of sense to me. Like, I’d miss this stuff with the non-rage hacking hanzo, but the way he explains it makes it feel obvious.

I remember where my brother and I ran into a cheater. This person was so bad in the last game but as soon as we go against this person again all of a sudden this person it play like a top 500 only hitting head shots with widow and obviously using walls

I met a guy a while back who was part of WTFGWAR's community. A British fellow who always claimed he could develop hacks. I suspect he might be the same person behind the Apex and Overwatch hack clients. He mentioned, "I only cheat when I am bored or when I am trying to sell a high-level account or rank up a friend."
I recall hearing his voice in an Apex video interview by Zeus, and I'm almost 100% sure it's the same guy.
I hope this information helps because the only way the rage hackers will stop is if Overwatch 2 invests in a better anti-cheat system.
PS: The reason people are not being banned is due to the ban waves. I dabble in code and understand how easy it is for developers to tweak a few lines of code to bypass the game's security measures.
- Ban waves create a cat-and-mouse game, and the only way to address this is by investing in more robust anti-cheat software.
- Not doing anything is equally as bad.

if devs want to troll hackers, they can write a code the makes hackers bright color appearance. and turn it on and off on random weeks. that way the hackers have to figure out what in their code is bugging the appearance in game. and why did it disappear. it will also show to everyone in the lobby that this person is hacking.

I swear at this point Blizzard has seen how many cheaters are in their game and have just gone, "Well shit. Nothing we can do about that" and removed the anti-cheat. Because this ragehacking Hanzo is insane. If the anti-cheat is still on and somehow can't pick up this blatant hacking, I have no clue what they're doing.

If it was only 1 cheater on my team i would 100% throw but having them on bith teams makes it difficult to have the moral high ground

whats shitty is its not the program "predicting" alot of the higher end ones offer "back tracking" and it exploits lag compensation or something and shoots at where they were like 150MS ago. i think thats whats been causing the weird bending arrows and grenades in some of these replays

How do we send you cheater clips to review? I’ve got a pretty funny one.
From what I've found about how some of these cheats work, they go undetected during match due to an extra software used with the menu called "interception", which basically emulates the moves the cheat wants to make into pure mouse movements, basically "laundering the adjustments" so that the anticheat just doesn't care, and even so, there's still free cheats without interception, I tested some out of curiosity with some friends, they're not the worst, but you certainly couldn't rage hack with them, my free package had walls and "aimbot", though it missed most of the time, it served better as an "aim assist", there was a trigger bot too but that one had so much reaction time lag that it just always missed.

I play maybe 6 matches a day on Thursdays and fridays. Iv run into 4 people who I'm absolutely 100% sure were cheating. A few who im not sure on but I'm suspicious. Reported them but im not sure if it even matters
thats blizzard man, back in dota days when MHs (MapHacks) were a thing on WarCraft3 we used to suffer for a year sometimes 2 until we got an update
I have been playing OW 2 since October of 2022 but I am about to take a serious break because the cheating is bad even in QP. Until OW starts banning people blatantly cheating, it's not even fun to play.

The walling in Valorant, and only having them sometimes is because most of the time on Valorants cheats, they only show up through walls if they’re making noise. If they shift walk they don’t show up

I find it so stupid that the mercys actually pocketed them, I usually paly support and if i have a cheater i jsut ket them die ovr and over (actually had a situation similar to this where my other support, me, and the enemy support agreed on letting the cheaters die so it was basically a 4v4 in the end lmao)

It's sad that I can report someone for an inappropriate username and they get kicked from my qp game immediately (like literally as soon as I reported them) but these cheaters get free range for who knows how long. Even if I report a cheater in my qp games they still get to play out the game. What is Blizzard doing? Certainly not banning cheaters, that's what.

The free cheats work: now people keep cheats in their back pocket 'just in case'. Some of those people are bound to be idiots who think the other team is hacking because they spammed the most common choke on the map. "Man I have to 'counterhack' every game, they're everywhere!" And then the 'counter hacker' on the other team tilts... Rinse repeat... If a good guy with a gun has to shoot second, is the person who shot third good or bad?

Ok, this might be a hot take, but Overwatch should implement an unrestricted, enclosed Cheater v Cheater environment, a matchmaking pool of exclusively cheaters who won't get banned, punished, or anything of the sort. Hear me out.
I'm not saying get confirmed cheaters and throw them in a special queue. No, I'm saying as a separate game mode, where people have to disclaim that they're gonna use cheats, and they must allow Blizzard to analyze any and all data related to the game, comms, etc. They would only be put with other people on this special, cheater queue, and would be encouraged to disclose how their cheats work, provide files and all of that. Basically, have the cheaters work for you, while providing them a safe environment to test their coding skills against other players. You can even make them "Subtle vs Rage", where subtle queue would encourage the cheats that try to pass as legit players, and rage queue would be unrestricted.
Hacks v Hacks lobbies have been something that's been proposed for things like CS:GO (I guess CS2 now) for a few years, and I fail to see a negative ramification of implementing something like that. Banks and major companies already apply something very similar, offering bounties for white-hat hackers who discover vulnerabilities. If bank and security institutions can do something like that, I don't see how a game would be worse-off for offering something like that.
