Thanks for the recipe :)
To those who are kind of confused here is the ingredients you need:
Chocolate layers: 10 ounces dark chocolate, 10 ounces dark chocolate (this is for the top and bottom chocolate layer)
Green layers: green white chocolate ( melted white chocolate mixed with green food gel/dye) mixed with mint extract
peppermint oil, not extract
Thank you William.
And how do you make tge green filling ? 😢
Wow! You're extremely descriptive and you deserve much more recognition. I used your eggnog recipe today and it was delicious! I'm planning on doing this next 😄
+Kristen Chesek you are so kind, thank you very much! I'm so glad you liked the eggnog!!!
Wow This Is amazing And I a love the colour of your hair it's beautiful
Thank you!
Missing the whole section of the green layer☹️☹️☹️☹️
LOL...bad video...wow, she did leave out instructions on how to make the green layer...Oops! Back to searching for another recipe again. What a waste of my time.
it's just like the other layers, just use merkens green chocolate amzn.to/36FchAI
Ashlee Marie Cakes - Oh, darn, something not available where I am... I thought you made the green layer... Oh well, off to look for something else... Happy Holidays! ☺️
@@lottatroublemaker6130 You could just use white chocolate dyed light green
@@secretforreddit but then where is the mint at?
who else was drooling when she spread the chocolate on the pan?!
Ah chocolate is the best!
I think I might try this but only put the peppermint oil in the green layer as I love tasting the creamy chocolate flavor with the pop of mint! I might even try making the cherry ones as I love those even more!
enjoy! I make a candy cane version too, but haven't tried the cherry version!
@@Ashleemariecakes never thought of a candy cane version!
What are cherry one's?
@@diannapalmer5156they have one that's cherry and chocolate! Very tasty. Layer of chocolate then a pink /red layer of cherry instead of mint!
i love mint. i want to try this
Hi i want to try these ,I love d combination of dark chocolate n mint. Can u tell me which layer have u used in d center, is it white chocolate. I have never seen a green chocolate. Awaiting ur reply
It is green chocolate but you can find it in my amazon store! amzn.to/2aeHSOP
made these for Christmas, turned out amazing
yay! so glad you liked it!!
Thank you for sharing this video. This looks really good and I can’t wait to try them.
This is my kind of recipe. It only looks like you slaved away. I have a bit of the shakes in my old age, so I use the Pampered Chef dough scraper and chopper held at a 45 degree angle to level out things like the chocolate. It has a more even bottom and is wider and easier to control. I don't know which came first, the wheel or the parchment paper; but they are the two greatest inventions ever. Number three is the dishwasher. 😃 The peppermint oil that I have was bought at the health food store and is essential oil, peppermint. It has a much better flavor than the extracts & there is a lifetime supply. Another new subscriber.
Thank you so much! Your videos are helpful and professional, but they are lighthearted. These look amazing! I think I'm going to try and make some.
+Mochibear I hope you do! they tastes GREAT and are fun to share as well! I'm so glad you like my videos, I enjoy making them.
Did I miss how much chocolate for top and bottom and powder sugar for center?
Someone knows will you please post it . Thank you.
Ashlee, the video is really great.I'm making those. Thanks.
+Chef Rachida they are seriously so good, we make them every year and they are always a hit!
I wanted to see the filling being made. But great recipe. We used to make mint bars, but it's too expensive to buy the mint extract we had and liked so much now. I miss them and looking for ways to make it again. Maybe this is my answer.
The filling is just a green chocolate with mint extract added to it, If you need more clarification you can always check the information on my blog:) ashleemarie.com/homemade-andes-mints-this-weeks-treat/
@@Ashleemariecakes interesting. Thank you!
Oh YUMM LOVE this candy. I’m actually buying chocolate discs tomorrow to make candy for Christmas. Adding white chocolate to make this now ! Thanks
you are so welcome! I hope you enjoy it!
when can I find the ingredients and how u prepare every pot?
a link to the printable recipe is in the first sentence in the description ashleemarie.com/homemade-andes-mints-this-weeks-treat/
I haven’t been able to watch your channel a lot lately so glad I found your channel again hope you’re doing well best wishes to you and your Family
thank you so much, I haven't been making videos lately as life has gotten a little complicated with the divorce, but I'm hoping to be back at it soon
Thank you so much for showing us how easy this is. My sister-in-law would make them for us during Christmas. When she passed away, that simple recipe went with her. I've tried several times since. Mine always marbled.😳Now I know why. I will be attempting this tomorrow. Thanks again for sharing. Merry Christmas🎄🎄🎄
I am so happy I could help bring a family tradition back to life!
How do you get your melted chocolate so thin? when I melt chocolate it's too thick.
I tried it! It came out sooooooooooooooo good 😊
Thank a bunch!!
Yay! So happy it turned out!
We don't get green chocolate in the UK. Could I use white chocolate coloured green with the peppermint flavoring?
Yes you could!
did you add extra mint every layer right?
On the mints, how did you make the middle layer?
Hi. I tried this recipe and it's sinfully good... 💫💫🙂
I love your hair color!!!!
Thank you so much! I think its fun to switch it up:)
We don't have Andes mints here in Australia but this looks a delicious recipe. Love your casual attitude, there is no pretense with you... oh, your hair colour and style too. 🇦🇺🐭☝️
Thank you, I really appreciate it!
you missed a step. how did you get green chocolate?
I used a chocolate that was already green, the link is in the description box
made this for my office party and it was a hit! ty
so glad to hear that! they are always one of my most popular - your welcome!
So happy I came across this video; I've got to give these a try!
+Claire Sharbino they are sooooo easy and so good!!
Ashlee Marie Cakes I had searched UA-cam for homemade Andes mints. When I saw your hair I said ok....these will be perfect lol. I've just got to get my hands on the oil based food coloring!
I just buy the green chocolate melts rather than color them myself! even easier!
Is there a specific kind of chocolate you used?
The links to the chocolate can be found in the description box below the video
I'm drooling.
haha thank you!
watching these vids make me hungry.
+Maylin Marrufo try editing them for hours! I'm always hungry working on them (and usually long after the treat is gone, boo)
Recipe looks wonderful. Thank you. Just found it. Can you use semi=sweet chips instead of choc wafers and white choc chips? Also can you remove finished recipe and cut on flat surface before choc hardens? Thank you
Yes you could, this is just my favorite chocolate to use because it gives a flavor the most like the original mints. Pulling the mints out before the chocolate hardens puts you at risk of messing up the layers and the leveling you have already done but it won't mess up the flavor:)
Mint & chocolate,good combination.
yes it is mint and chocolate is classic
What are the ingredients for the green layer
Its green white chocolate (mix melted white chocolate with green food gel/food coloring) melted and mix with mint extract
Ps: this is from her website i didn't see her use any mint extract in the website so i just add the mint extract
Glad to have found you. Making soon as I shop for ingredients
I made 6 batches today for neighbors! so fun and easy
Another critique, buy an offset spatula and the surface will come out smooth.
I own plenty of offset spatulas, I just don't find the need, a quick shake and the chocolate is plenty flat.
lovely recipe tank u . please tell me can we use any substitute for candy melts?
I use real chocolate for the chocolate and merkens white chocolate wafers for the middle - in green
amzn.to/2aeHSOP
Thanks for sharing your lovely 😊 yummy menu ,what a gorgeous hair color blue is my favorite colour.
Thank you so much 😊
Seriously love your hair and your recipe
Thank you so much!
I actually make Andes cookies. But I order the oil ( because I can NEVER find it in the stores) that is creme de menthe flavor. I like that better than the peppermint. Although I love peppermint, the creme de menthe has a slightly different flavor. It's a bit milder and it even smells like the actual Andes mints. Maybe you may want to five that a try and see what you think. TFS...I did subscribe 😊. Stay safe and well. GOD bless.
Thank you so much for the suggestion! I haven't tried that personally but it sounds delicious!
What did you use for the green?
I like merkens green chocolate amzn.to/36FchAI
To level the first layer could you put it in the oven for a little bit and it would melt and sink to a smooth layer
+Stella BlackStar remember changing the temperature of chocolate too often or to hot will cause problems
is the second layer of chocolate foof coloring or did you use green chocolate. How much mint did you add?
+Ellamarie Johnson you can use candy coloring (not food coloring it's water based and will make the chocolate seize) but I personally just buy the pre-colored chocolate amzn.to/1YVd5YQ
Thank you for quick replying. What store can I buy ingredients ? It takes longer to buy online.
I use amazon prime so 2 days - locally I get them at a store called Gygi's that is a restaurant wholesale kitchen supply store, rstaurant supply has it too, any store that sells cake decorating supplies or candy making will sell the right chocolate!
so I just found your channel I wasn't sure if I was going to subscribe or not and then I saw you pull out the LEVELER to which I had to hit #subscribe ! I automatically adored you ,I love it that is exact same kind of stuff i do in my kitchen💯😁 . 🙌props to you 🙌LOVE THIS RECIPE TOO😍😍😍
Thank you so much, I 'm glad it was helpful!!
Leaf mint is peppermint or it was when I last looked
Peppermint is a leaf mint but there are multiple kinds of leaf mints including spearmint, water mint, wild mint, etc.
A recipe would be helpful. What kind of chocolate, how much etc.
the link in the first paragraph will take you to the printable recipe on my site
How did you the green layer
I used Peppermint Oil and green chocolate.
Peppermint oil Flavoring amzn.to/1XQzJ7I
green chocolate amzn.to/2aeHSOP (I prefer Merkens)
Hi Ashlee! I like your VDO. It looks tasty. Can I use chocolate mold instead. of tray? I would like to do for Wedding next week. Thank you for sharing.
yeeeeeees, but... it's so thin I'm not sure how it would work in a mold, but like all chocolate a mold can be used
Seems delicious
It is a good one!
I'm watching you more often make it enjoyable
awww I appreciate that!
These look amazing! *drool*
+Nidhi Shah thank you so very much!
Yo lo probaré
I'm sorry, I only speak english. Thank you for watching!
what brand is your microwave?
So we don't have to freeze it so that it becomes hard?
No you don't need to freeze it letting it cool on the counter will work great
Thank you! My favorite mints. :)
Yay! I am so happy to hear that
how do you make the green minty part
+Desiree Smith I use green chocolate, I link to everything in the description box amzn.to/1YVd5YQ
So it's not really chocolate is it...
Try to be a bit more observant before complaining folks...the link to the recipe is in the video description, which is exactly how it's done on countless other channels. 😐
Thank you! yes that is correct
thank you my kids love it.😇😀😇😀😀😁
+Jorge Yañez oh that makes me so happy!!!
How to make this molten mint?
The full recipe is in the description box or you can find it on my blog
Since going low carb, Christmas will not be the same without Andes mints, but this may be doable with sugar free chocolate.
let me know how it goes!
Can I Do double boiler for chocolate
Yes a double boiler is a good way to melt chocolate
I love your videos 😂😂 there amazing and so is u ur hair 💕
+Angel Moore thank you so much!
Np
Your great, just the right amount personality and sweetness! Thanks for the Andes Mint recipe...one of my favorites!
awww thank you so much!
YAH! I cannot wait to try this! I knew it was good by the look of your face when you tried it! BOOM! :)
so easy and yes so good!!!
how did you make the middle layer yu didn't say
it's chocolate - just like the other layers - I link to the green white chocolate wafers in the description amzn.to/2aeHSOP
OK thanks
It's called tempuring
Yes it is, thank you!
Could you do a video on making dots candy by tootsie roll.?
ohhh as a kid we used to always try to make those, never tried as an adult - pretty sure they are just powdered sugar but I'll look into it
yum iam making these ...
let me know what you think!
taste really good . just like the real thing yum i cant stop eating..
YAY!
Ashlee Marie Cakes thanks for sharing the recepie !

Ceard you make a harry potter cake like the one That n Hagrid made in the number towe movie
you mean the first movie? the pink cake with the green writing "happee birthday harry" that he brings, but had sat on?
Im Sorry yes That one
you have awesome videos! :D I subbed :)
+olemassa olematon thank you so much!
You didn't say what kind of chocolate to use or what kind of mint. No recipe. I would like to make them but need recipe please.
I suggest you use dark chocolate melt it with double boiler and for the green part Its green white chocolate (mix melted white chocolate with green food gel/food coloring) melted and mix with mint extract
Ps: this is from her website i didn't see her use any mint extract in the website so i just add the mint extract
Perfect for quarantine hahhaha
Yes! let me know how they turn out
I melt chocolate in the microwave. Thirty secs , and then a little more if needed. K
Yes that works to!
Hey love your hair
Thank you!!
It's peppermint oil not peppermint extract I see the comments saying to use peppermint extract two different things k lol
smart woman.
Thank you!
Finally
haha so happy you liked it!
How do you skip the steps that explain how you make the green layer green? Did I miss something? I don’t think I could be any more frustrated after having watched this for five minutes.
Its green white chocolate (mix melted white chocolate with green food gel/food coloring) melted and mix with mint extract
Ps: this is from her website i didn't see her use any mint extract in the website so i just add the mint extract
I'm totally confused as to how she made the middle. OK. On to another video that will hopefully have what I'm looking for....
The middle is just a green chocolate, if you are confused you can look at the instructions on my blog:)
cute kids ;)
Send me some
Haha I wish I could, my kids eat it to fast!
Directions which say "a minute at 50% heat" are totally meaningless without knowing what temperature you are actually setting the microwave too. Big difference in 50% heat of an 800 watt oven and 50% heat of a 1100 watt oven.
The full recipe and instructions are in the description box or you can find it on my blog
You never say how much of the ingredients to use ? Crazy
female ninja anyone?
Yea ! throw them rounded edges away
Haha yes!
You've got cool hair
No more videos...?
Hug from Danmark 🌹
I will still be making videos, I am just taking a little break, Thank you!!
u skipped how to do the middle layer! what's the point of making a recipe tutorial if your not ?
Free Palestine
But you didn’t tell us how make the mint part? We watched it twice lmao.
are you kidding? I talk about adding the peppermint candy oil to all three layers - the 2 chocolate layers and the 1 green chocolate layer ( I link to the peppermint oil and the chocolate in the description box)
Ashlee Marie Cakes look I just commented because my mother thought you edited wrong or something
is anyone else bothered by the blinking time on the microwave
Sorry I didn't even notice that!
stop tryin to rip off my families company
This is not the actual andes mint recipe it is just a thin mint recipe and strategies that I have developed

Don't really care what color your hair is but put on a hairnet or a cap or something so it doesn't get in the FOOD.
do you wear a hairnet when you cook for your family? I certainly don't.
In her own kitchen? Huh? I’ve never seen a cooking show or any person cooking for themself or family wear a hair net in my life. She’s not working at a restaurant. What a weird criticism and expectation!
were did you get that mint from
+Latavia Smith any candy oil will work this is what I use amzn.to/1XQzJ7I
